There's something called credit rating..

You need people you can trust with power because power intoxicates and corrupts. It's not our fault - that's how nature made us.

You cannot tell who you truly are until you have power and money. That's why Nigerians start misbehaving immediately they have it. So, we cannot afford to give people who have no political track records power.

In Nigeria, every big politician is advised to start from gubernatorial election before gunning for the presidency. This allows people to use that to assess them.

Imagine if someone like Rochas Okorocha who made a caricature of Imo State was made president - after he contested several times and was advised to start from his state.

That's why many young people are rooting for Peter Obi. He inspires hope, he is also trustworthy and the youngest candidate among the three majors projected to win this election.
