When we had the money and resources to do all that you are positing and more because of sky high oil prices?

allcomage: Why not repair the 4 refineries, take crude oil refine and sell to Nigerians at N100 per litre because crude is cheap now. Just look at how easy it is in your mouth. How many billions of dollars do you think they'd use in repairing not one but four refineries? It would cost nothing less than $15 billion to repair all four refineries.. And you're saying they should then refine fuel and sell for N100... So you expect them to recoup the money spent on the refinery by selling fuel for 100 naira? How many centuries do you think they'll sell fuel for N100 before they'll get back 15 billion dollars? Plus they'll still pay workers and other expenses out of that N100 o... People like you will be the loudest critics of Buhari but with this your statement you've proven to be 1000 times less intelligent than him.. |

Politics › Re: Zainab Ahmed: We Can't Continue, Nigeria Losing N250bn Monthly On Fuel Subsidy by Perfectbeing(m): 7:57am On Nov 25, 2021 |
N5000 times 40,000,000 will give us 200,000,000,000 (two hundred billion naira), just 50 billion short of what they spend monthly on subsidy. Well, since they said they'll pay this stipend for a maximum of 1 years, then its not that bad..
Only enemies of the state would see something wrong with this subsidy removal. We can't sacrifice economic growth for cheap fuel.. Next is electricity subsidy.. |

They don't know their surnames. So when they grow up and they want to give dem govt jobs (thanks to quota system), u see them answering the names of cities or states they grew up in.
E.g: Mamman Daura, Aminu Kano Some answer Kaduna Some just adopt d names of their peers. Which is why there are so many Adamus, Mohammeds, Garbas etc They all seem to be answering the same names... It's laughable How come part of the names of the first couple plotter is Kaduna? |

If not the Fulani's fault, it's the Yoruba's fault. :/ Everybody can guess where the culprit is from if you read a headline "Nigerian arrested with drugs in India" . Maybe they'll start blaming DSS for that one too. |

If we don't have a robust and strong judiciary most of these things we're clamouring for, like state police etc will be more of a disadvantage than an advantage. As long as our governors and presidents are more powerful than the courts, then our present type of government is actually the best. As stupid as that may sound. |

dasparrow: Honestly, I have my reservations when it comes to the Chinese. No group of people do anything for nothing. What's in it for the Chinese? Not only that, these Chinese are the same people who threw Africans out of their homes in China and tried to blame Africans for coronavirus. The Chinese are extremely racist and their presence in Africa makes me nervous and concerned. This is how Whites came to Africa back in the day bringing 'greek gifts' and acting like they have our best interest at hand and before we knew it, our people were enslaved and shipped away to God knows where while those who were left behind were colonized. I don't trust other racial groups not because I am racist but because history has shown that they never mean well for us. Just saying. I wonder what you'll say if the news read "Buhari stops Chinese private investor from investing $200,000,000 in Akwa Ibom.. Says they should invest the money in the North". People like you will start wailing that Buhari wants the Chinese (the same people you called racist and makes you nervous) to invest only in the North.. Some people just like complaining for every single thing in this life.. Its so pathetic.. |

OK it is a private investment.
Now, why call the Chinese to aid in the construction when our universities produces quality engineering graduates.
Is it a bad thing to pay our engineers the money that would be paid to these Chinese in the end.
Every action has its consequences. These Chinese won't consider us humans. Try to understand this. The private investors are Chinese men/women who invested their own hard earn money in a state in Nigeria.. Allow them to use their money however they like. When you have the money to build such a smart city I'm sure nobody would stop you if you decided to pay only engineers and contractors that comes from your village. |

ChangedMan1999: I am not a hater, but can't Akwa Ibomits buid a city by themselves.
Is this not an embarrassment for Africans to considering Chinese, Americans and Asians as Second to God.
For how long are we going to be playing second to these people.
Many of you may think that employment for Akwa Ibom people is more important, but one thing you don't know that the rest of the world will keep seeing us as Subhumans.
There was a time we read news here that a certain country in Europe doesn't score their students "F" in the University. Reason being that it is morally wrong to give the "F" score when students put their precious time in doing assignments and coming to school.
In my comment, I said that it Nigerian universities should adopt the system because the "F" score reduces the morale of students who have been attending lecturers.
One girl tackled me. She said that such system will reduce or kill the producing of quality graduates.
Now, you all should tell me if Nigeria would be depending on China to build a city if it really produces quality graduates.
Now you all should tell me if Nigeria would be borrowing money up and down if she produces quality graduates that would be advising the politicians.
You all should tell me if Nigeria will be calling the Chinese to help her build railway and tard road if she really produces quality.
Listen my point here is since the country educational system thinks that it is right to score "F" in order to produce quality graduates, now why is she depending on China after she pushed a narrative that she produces only quality students. So because just one country decided not to give their students F in their grade so Nigeria should adopt that one country style ba..?? Tell me what other things such country do so we will copy those things too |

Ovamboland: Is that how you pray to your fake god, no wonder your thinking is so childish and wacky. Nations go through tough times and make effort to go through and out of it. That's what we are discussing here, on the right way to get out the problems.
But an emotionally unstable person like you will pray to a fake powerless god to make that problem the lot of fellow man just because of disagreement on how to solve the problems. Work on your childish emotions and though process for your own sake.
The true God does not operate like idols that you can use to harm others. I kinda understand what this government is doing. It's just a pity that many Nigerians are only seeing the hardship of now and too short sighted to see how good all these loans and policies will be in the long run.. They just complain of the loans but don't bother to do research of what is being done with it and how long what's been done with it will take.. Many of the projects of these loans won't even be completed in this administration. Example is the mambila power project which will be completed in 2030. That's the reason many ask what do they use all these loans for when the answers is just a google search away.. But it's a pity that Buhari may probably not live to see the good part of all these things he has done.. I hope he do see some important ones. It will do much good if you can open a thread on some of the projects of all these loans, the costs and the time frame they are expected to be completed. It might put some people souls at rest. |

GreatBoss: Ipob and Yoruba agitators should just team up with General Ditari and the Ijaw Republic Liberation Movement Militant Forces he leads. Ijaw produces over 90 percent of all Nigeria crude oil, and all we get in return is marginalization and Balkanization into more than six States, when all Ijaw areas share perfect boundaries with each other. When they plan well with these Ijaw militants they stop all pipelines and Nigeria end once and for all. Instead of Ipob wasting ibos. We can become great neighbours in the different countries. Ijaws are great stranger loving people, and Ibo know how to succeed in stranger land. General Ditari and his group have even given British the Ijaw Republic documents so that they know of it.
