Don't get me wrong, I am not saying university education is useless. What I am saying is that a university education that cannot produce or add value is useless. A skill that can produce or add value is far more important that a degree without value.

However, it's important to remember dropout billionaires are the exception, not the rule. In case, you still don understand, a skill without a degree will earn less than a skill with a degree statistically..

Also I was comparing two scenarios, a certificate you have but don't need, a certificate you need but don't have. And I said one of the scenario was much better.

My uncle who dropped out of school was telling me of a story of how a friend of old who he met years later wanted to help with a good job. All the friend needed was just any university degree (even Arabic education was ok) to get him the job but he didn't have. That's how he lost that opportunity. He needed a degree that he didn't have.

Sha there are still tons of people that made it without having a degree so it's not a must.

Just an advice to all those school na scam people..
It is better to have a certificate that you don't need than to need a certificate that you don't have.

I don't charge my clients chicken change. Since I give them the best service and the salon where I work is a bit standard, I should be paid more money for my good service and for the comfort they enjoy in the salon.
A barber that opens a barber shop using planks with one small standing fan and isn't that good in his job shouldn't be expected to be paid like a professional barber that spends money in his barbershop and has the best equipment that can give his customers the best comfort..

Till the year oil is no longer being in use, let Nigerians sell all the oil she can sell and use the money to build infrastructure and diversify her economy.

What I'm saying is that Nigerians should stop asking for much (not just this medical stuffs) when they're inclined to pay little for it.. If they want the best, they should learn to pay for it..

The year I entered the university, the VC increased our acceptance fee 5X and school fees by almost 2X. Now at least I'm seeing the changes in the school. New LTs and classrooms being built here and there. Now all the classrooms in my faculty has ACs and the building is being completed.
Students protested when the school fees, acceptance fee and hostel fees were increased.. The same students complain when they don't have enough classrooms for lectures and unequipped classrooms. They want to enjoy American standards of school yet they don't want to pay for it..

Just so you know, I'm the one paying my school fees myself and fending for myself with the little barbing that I'm doing.. So don't think I'm having things going easy for me.. But I've always known that if I want the best, I should pay for it..

John Hopkins University medicine students pays 56,500 USD per year. So if their doctors are being paid $5,000 per month, they deserve it..
University of Ibadan medical student pays an average of N115,700 ($230) per yet. If they're paying them $500 per month, they deserve it..
