CeaserB: Surprisingly to me, MTN is getting better. I'm not sure if I'm the only one here or maybe it's because MTN had ripped me off for over nine years now and they decided to thank me.
A friend sent me #1500 credit. After my recharge, I was rewarded with #1500 bonus to call "ANY" network. I thought it was a joke but to my surprise it wasn't
I called all networks with my bonus except for international numbers which they charged for.
Last week Friday, I got a text saying I should recharge and get weekend calls for free, which I did by recharging #1500 and to my amazement I got my #1500 bonus and a whooping 24 hours to call MTN numbers for free from 12am on Saturday to 11:59pm on Sunday.
Right now I'm rocking more than #3000 worth of bonus on my line to call "ANY" Naija network. I only recharge if I have to call international number which now costs #33 per minute (reasonable to me).
For the First time in Nine years I'm now Saying with MTN "Life Is Good"


P.S: I'm just an average consumer of MTN products with no connection to MTN staff or Management at all. I like to think I'm not the only one enjoying these benefits.
I hope the promo lasts forever.

Don't you see the 40 men laptop crew here on nairaland? Most registered in June of this year and all their posts center around defending Jonathan Goodluck. Market women too have been bought over by Patience Jonathan who sing her praise to high heavens.

So, how can there be a revolutionary change in Nigeria when it seems like most Nigerians are not ready for change? Nigerians are not united and have never been. We have blatantly refused to speak with one voice. Maybe, when more countries treat Nigerians around the world with downright hostility like we have been seeing lately, maybe just maybe, we the youths will wake up. When we realize that we have nowhere to run to anymore because countries are denying us visas enmasse and those abroad are consistently being treated like crap, no one will remind us to put sentiments aside and start a revolution and send these corrupt politicians packing. Until then, let's keep on doing what we do best: suffering and smiling.

Kobojunkie: From the way I see it, budget implementation really refers to COMMENCEMENT of projects that are allocated for. Not completion really. Typically, before money is allocated, feasibility studies have already been done and as thorough as possible investigations on possible costs have been carried out BEFORE proposal is then sent to NASS for approval. Once approved, the money is intended to be made available to project implementer to go right ahead and start work on the projects.
I keep stressing that well over 80% of the allocations in this years budget are towards ONGOING PROJECTS, so I see no reason why, at this time, these projects have not at least been updated. If you read the excuse we are being given here, you will note that the complete is not that the resources are not available. No, what Okonjo Iweala is blaming here is the late approval of the budget.
