The minor was ignorant of the fact that what he intelligently created could make a thousand adults $hit in their pants or even cause them to lose their jobs. |
TonyeBarcanista:Tonye, I initially condemned your opinion, then doing a political mathematics based on your suggestion, I would say for political justice to prevail in a country like ours that places priority on political balancing act than effective leadership, i submit to your suggestion. A North-East ticket is what will douse and appease frayed nerves. The irony of a nation. |
All the states affected by these murderous Fulani herdsmen should follow suit and enact laws through their state house of assemblies to ban open cattle grazing. Benue and Ekiti have done so. We expect others to follow suit. Serious food scarcity is staring us in the face and would we rather play politics with such? It is time to act. |
Our victory is the good we do on earth. |
Recession is real. Nigerians are wiser now. No maga out there again. |
JAMB is deploying a technology it knows next to nothing about. I feel for these kids. |
I just hope majority of these guys are not voted in next time. Bunch of pen robbers. |
In no distance time, farmers and hunters will have no choice but to form parallel militia and vigilante groups. A crisis that will be too grave for even the DSS and security agencies is gradually building up. When push comes to shoving, everyone would answer his father's name. |
They are not herdsmen. Nigerians should stop calling these guys herdsmen. This is not what the typical herdsmen look like. These guys are mercenaries, militias employed by stakeholders in the cattle industry employed and well paid to commit genocide against any community that stands in their way. The intelligence authorities know their modus operandi but would rather look the other way. This is not what the everyday Fulani herdsman looks like. They are Fulani but not herdsmen. |
To be on the safer side, stay away from Windows OS. |
On the internet there are no boundaries. We were always 0.001ms away from infection. All it takes to be infected is simple click and it's done. |
Update: Here is a link on Microsoft Website to carry out patches on windows operating system against the wannacry malware. Don't be caught unawares https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/security/ms17-010.aspx |
IdeyFindWife:Everyone is just trying to stay relevant. A.k.a Eye Service |
Lionessza:If every south African shares and think the same way you do, then all I can say is the future is bleak. FYI, there are Indians, Chinese Togolese, Benninoise, Guineans and Lebanese here in Nigeria who have made the country their home. We complain sometimes about they milking Nigeria and that's about it. We do not result to violence against foreigners. If you google south Africa from outside your country and the index pulls out 65% "Xenophobia". I hope you give a thumbs up to that. |
Lionessza:South Africans are setting a very bad precedence for a continent that has a long history of warmth and friendly culture of welcoming strangers. Foreigners have been stealing from Nigerians. Have you ever heard of Nigerians lynching or looting properties that belong to foreigners before. It is very un-nigerian. We as a country have our shortcomings, but to descend so low to attacking and lynching foreigners is the height of societal intolerance. If every African decides to follow suit and attack foreigners like they do in SA, I can imagine you would applaud this? |
Shawnnn01:Do you actually have proof that those guys were nearly lynched for drug peddling? What if they are found to be innocent Nigerians? I doubt if they would be getting medical treatment if they were drug peddlers. |
South Africans are murderous human beings with very low self esteem. Before the advent of drugs, its citizens always had a long history of societal violence. How the authorities manage to keep a straight face, I don't understand. When a country has phobia for foreigners, that country is on the path of doom. This is the 21st century. For drug peddlers, anywhere in the world to succeed, they work with corrupt local officers. Are these officials Nigerians too? If any Nigerian is caught peddling drugs, you either jail him or deport his a$$. Would you lynch your own countrymen if found to be involved in drug peddling? South Africa as a country needs serious soul searching A disgrace to the black race. |
So, how many times do programmers get to deal with the many routing protocols that tie computer nodes on THE INTERNET, LAN and WAN. OSPF, BGP,TCP/IP,RIP,VPN,RSTP,EIGRP,VOIP etc Like somebody said, network engineers rarely create new things. In fact the only reason you would need a network engineer is when you need to work in an environment where terminals are tied together and need to share information. Contrary to what someone mentioned, the networking world has a vast space of field to conquer. It's more challenging and takes years and years to actually master (i am not talking of paper certification). While the programmer has all he or she needs, packed in the laptop, the network engineer requires thousands of dollars to setup a CISCO or JUNIPER lab for a CCIE or a JNCIS-SP exam. In short, the Network engineers man the internet, while programmers make the internet more exciting. Financially, the programmer stands a better chance of making a million dollar at 18 years while a network engineer might have just years of career and tons of certifications to show for years of commitment. |
Using public internet infrastructure to access web servers via vpn? Whoever is consulting on behalf of jamb is a either a numskull or newbie. |
The malware exploits age long vulnerabilities is windows proprietary SMB (Server Message Block) protocol running on port 445. Here are lab screenshots of the malware randomnly attempting to connect to random IP addresses. Alleged photos of the 22 year old malware analyst who was able to isolate the virus and trigger what is now known as "Kill Switch". Follow the dude on his twitter handle@Malware Tech Naija Youths, where art thou..

Is this news? |
The above suggestion will be difficult to implement in a country where 90% of windows OS are pirated. For admins in medium size organisations, segment your mail servers away from regular terminals. Configure your firewalls, IDS and IPS to implement stringent inbound policies. Servers with outdated Active Directory services are most likely to be used as malware propagating vectors. Most ransommwares do not exactly encrypt your file systems. Only essential windows files are tapered with. A simple editing of your registry files in safe mode can reverse this. (Not advisable if you are unfamiliar with this) Never pay hackers because you might just be indirectly funding global terrorism. Always remember to backup your files. Happy Sunday |
No armed group in the world can survive without steady supply of food and money. BH continues to thrive because their source of income well in tact. Cut their source and see how shekau will lead the rest out of their dungeon. If there wasn't food in BH camp, will the Chibok girls insist on staying with the terrorists? |
Malware exploiting Micrsoft windows OS flaws that were discovered by NSA Spy program which was made public in April. Russia happens to have the largest share of global infections. Just when FBI Director was fired. Pardon the conspiracy theory, but We see the writings on the wall. Anyways, i feel safer typing from my cheap linux box. |
For every Fulani herdsmen that roams any locality in Nigeria, they got the nod of the local chief's nod. Hold your leaders accountable. |
And to think the outbreak started since April 22nd. That region must be on lockdown before panic sets in. I hope health agencies are at alert at the borders. |
This is a point we need to continue to resonate till those in places of authority regain their sense of responsibility. The police that we have now is a total failure. Because they refuse to do their job, the society has resulted to jungle justice. The members of the community know who these guys are but the institution saddled with the task of ensuring these criminals are brought to book have either been compromised or ineffective. What is the essence of having more police recruits when the ones we have are paid to do nothing. These four could as well be innocent while gang members who commit these crimes walk in the dark. |
izombie:Obviously, you don't know what boy scouts look like. |
Is Abba Kyari a politician or opportunist. |
Good to see 802.11 AC now being supported. Respite for wlan auditors and pentesters is here. Long overdue |
National Assembly gets 140 billion and Education gets a paltry 50 billion. #Notencouraging |
He must have pissed off the chinese to have gotten such beating. These guys are really savages. What pisses me off is how Nigerians, especially the Yourubas and Igbos continue to disgrace each other on all online forums and social media. A igbo man is being plummeted today in china doesn"t mean the same cannot happen to a yoruba tomorrow. |
