In 1979, a certain Juhayman al-Otaybi, a prince from a Saudi royal family led a two weeks rebellion against the Saudi kingdom and family.
The centre stage of this confrontation with the Saudi National Guard took place right there at Islam's holiest site, Mecca.
Religion, irrespective of faith has always been distasteful when it veers off its doctrines and tenets to take a political shape.
Politics and religion have never mixed well. But when humans are involved, the possibility of separating the two is less then 1%.
Without humans, religion cannot exist. Human are creatures with flaws and faults. Religion on the other hand, strives for perfection.
How to reconcile the two is a great challenge to human existence. |

Whichever region or state that can contribute more revenue for Nigeria should get a state status.
Creating more dependent states will only empower more individuals to become governors, and what do governors do?
They borrow money to fund their luxury lifestyle. This restructuring will create more problems than solve any if wisdom is not applied.
We asked for NEPA to be privatised. What we got in return is worse than darkness. We asked the military to leave, what we got is a Democracy riddled with corrupt, lazy, kleptomaniac politicians.
What we need is an effective system that devolves power to the grassroots, allows individuals and states to be independent with lesser interference by the central government.
A system that allows transparency in probing and adequately punishing corrupt public, corporate and political individual found to be financially corrupt. |

bidexiii: Libyan Air Force receives four new Su-27 fighter jets
The Libyan Air Force has reportedly taken delivery of four new Russian-made Su-27 Flanker fighter aircraft from an undisclosed country. An unnamed Libyan official was quoted by official pro HoR LANA news agency as saying that informed military sources in the Libyan National Army (LNA) confirmed on 5 January that four new Sukhoi fighter jets effectively joined the squadrons of the Libyan Air Force. The aircraft are capable of covering a distance of 3,530km with a maximum speed of 2,500kph. It is also claimed they are capable of staying airborne for a long duration, and can manoeuvre and re-attack up to three times. They are expected to augment LNA's capabilities in the fight against extremist and terrorist militias across the country. As Libya is not listed as an official buyer of the Sukhoi Su-27, it is believed to have acquired second-hand or refurbished fighters from other countries. However, the LNA did not disclose whether the jets were new, or loaned from neighbouring states or allies, or an addition of upgraded old aircraft to the existing Air Force squadrons. Meanwhile, Libya Herald reported that there is no independent confirmation of the delivery of the fighters. "The new Su-27 fighter jets are expected to augment LNA's capabilities in the fight against extremist and terrorist militias across the country." The delivery comes as the Libyan Armed Forces pledge to intensify airstrikes on all vital infrastructure in the city of Misrata. General Khalifa Haftar spokesman colonel Mohamed Hejazy was quoted by the Financial Times as saying: "Misurata's ports are used to transfer terrorist and extremist elements, whether Libyan or foreign. "Misurata is the most dangerous threat to the Libyan state today. "Therefore, all institutions in Misurata, whether its ports or airport, constitute threats against Libyans." According to Libya Herald, the Libyan Air Force already threatened to shoot down any Sudanese or Turkish Military or civilian aircraft that enters its airspace. This warning came a day after bombing a Greek-operated oil tanker, killing two crew members

From the Independent day bomb blast that was planned and executed by the last administration just to tell the whole world that a particular people are not happy with his government but God Almighty used " Henry Okah " to exposed them.
They still went ahead and assembled another blood thirsty group " Boko Haram " but our living God who is Hayu Qoyum still used " General Azazi to the revealed their evil plan.
They killed him to hide the truth but the deed has been done. Again the forge ahead to use their supreme leader plane to arrange weapons through back door " Black Market " yet God revealed their evil plan and I believe he will continue exposing every evil doer trying to bring war into the country.
So far the Nigeria Custom has impounded two containers of weapons from same people. We don't have power to fight our enemies but Allah is sufficient for us. Him " Allah " that stood with Muslims during the battle of Uhud will surely be with us and shame every enemies of Nigeria. They want war but we are not for war but am sure the fate of the As'hab Al-Fil awaiting them all.
Let pray for the deceased of the massacre. Why so much anonymity ( "they, their" in your comments. Why not come out clearly and openly accuse the CAN of being behind Book Haram instead of being unnecessarily cryptic with your message. I hope you have concrete proof to back your insinuations or else you are just a religious bigot. We leave in a mysterious world where nothing is impossible, but more clarity and certainty is needed to know your stance on this Boko Haram issue. From your comment, I can only deduce that CAN is the sponsor of BokoHaram. I hope you know how weighty these accusations are. It's funny how you quickly absolve Muslims from this BH phenomenon even when 98% of its foot soldiers and suicide bombers have been proven to be of Islamic faith. Like I said, we live in a world where nothing is impossible but please don't run away from facts and figures. |
