I am very sure the whole world would like to see the judge's face. By the way, the four years he already served is too harsh. That judge needs to be probed. |
Crime › Re: Suicidal Man Rescued In Lagos While Trying To Jump Into A Lagoon. Photos by persius555(m): 9:04am On Mar 27, 2017 |
Nigerians have always resulted to suicide before the doctor's case. Especially on the third mainland bridge. That explains why a corpse was earlier discovered during the search for the doctor's body.
Suicide is tragic, dehumanising and a sad exit point for the weak and faint hearted. Embrace a soul and encourage them to brace up. Life is all about challenges. |

successmatters: They are right. Think of these scenarios
1. An American gentleman strolling on the streets of Port Harcourt only to be shot dead by stray bullets from soldiers chasing peaceful Biafran protesters.
2. An American trying to do a little farming around Benue state only to be killed by Fulani herdsmen who wants to forcefully graze their cattle on his crops.
3. An American migrant exploring the beauty of Ondo state and caught by the many ritualists who cut off his head, gorge his eyes and cut his privates thinking that the ritual will make them $$$ since na white man And how many Americans do you know that has died in this manner? |

The truth is there isn't really any one size fit all software that does web content filter perfectly. Cyberroam is probably one of the best out there and it still messes things up. There are scripts out there that work with specific equipment/hardware, but still have issues. Web content filtering is complicated in that it distorts functional services that make your network run smoothly, especially DNS request services. Entering filter rules based on input/output traffic on your gateway instantly affects how data is routed in and out of your network. An insight into your network topology and running config is a great way to start troubleshooting
You could check out squid. It's a web caching and proxy server software. |

mazimee: It seems the Nigerian military is breeding more thugs than soldiers. How can a so called professionals be acting like touts like it is their constitutional duty They bully the same civilians that they were mandated to protect, the same civilians their salaries were Paid from their taxes. The rate of army personnel's brutalizing civilians is becoming alarming. I witnesses one yesterday and I found out mist of these guys are actually the newly recruited. Is this what the military is all about. Descending on hapless civilians for no just cause. The military hierarchy should take proactive steps to check these excesses. |

freeze001: I think that if Mr Ali was convinced of the propriety of the suspended policy to impound vehicles with insufficient duty payment, he ought not to have cancelled or suspended it at least until he had addressed the Senate who summoned him to explain the policy. I also don't think that appearing in the uniform of the CG of Customs as required by the Senate should be too much for one who supposedly has d interest of Nigeria at heart.
Why did he hurriedly suspend d policy if it was well thought out? Why are we hearing this news now? This happened on January, why was it hushed? Is it some kind of smear campaign? Ali's pride stands larger than his diminutive self and that is what d Senate has sniffed out n latched upon if this story is anything to go by. If he'd published this incident of importation of a car with false documents by the Senate president and calmly worn his uniform when summoned, he'd be like d stuff heroes are made of. Unfortunately, they're all freaking dirty and Naija remains the worst for it.
He should wear his uniform and be serious please! You are definitely making sense. All I can deduce is that the disagreement between the senate and custom boss was bound to be exposed at some point. The national Assembly in its usual spirit would rather back its fellow members that the interest of the average Nigerian. If the custom boss has nothing to hide but has the well being of the country at heart, he should approach the senate in uniform and push those rogues in shame. |

It's ridiculous how a minor argument could be allowed to degenerate into a tribal warfare. Two organisations the DSS and security agencies should beam a searchlight on at all times is the Nigerian Union Of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and Miyatti Allah Cattle Breeders Association Of Nigeria. The existence of both organisation, especially in the west and north is a fuel to ignite any crisis. These guys are becoming a sort of militia arm. With huge funds and political patronage within its disposal. Its members are nothing g more than war machineries. |

tgmservice: Dear programmers of nairaland please can you help me with a technique or software that can be used to block certain websites on a network router. The router we make use of does not offer such features. Most low end and ISP Soho routers don't offer web filtering features. If you are looking at softwares for this purpose, I doubt if there are software or firmware filters for webpages especially for Facebook as most ISPs rely on facebook dns to route traffic to customers. Most solutions we use are hardware based and they work very well. Call 08166894416 for assistance. |
