Gud pm everybody, how is studies. I hope we are really burning the candles. I hope we are not carried away by this yuletide season. Remember some wounded aspirants are busy digging deep even with the fact that we are in celebration season. For those aspiring for BDS, MBBS, LLB, engineering courses, you got more work to do. You are not just competing with a large population of aspirants, you are competing with the best of the best students from all secondary school in Nigeria. As you study, also have it at the back of your mind that you are also competing with undergraduate who don't like the course they are studying making the competition scary. I wish everyone all the best. |
ISISs , I am really happy for u, u cant understand how happy I am for u, from Unizik prescience to UNN. The surgeon in the making. . |
neurojosh:You are close. Your chances are very high. You can add influence to your expectation if you have any. |
As promised, its time to solve questions on PH without calculator. Pls let bring questions on PH with option cos I don't av access to it now. Let's start with the simplest Find the PH of 0.001 HCl? All we need to do is to convert this to standard form 1 x 10^-3. Which is = 10^-3 Then find the negative log of 10^-3 3Log10 The final answer = 3 This is the method you use regardless of how complicated the value of the concentration of the acid is. Used this method, you can solve any question on PH |
akanbidamilare:Very soon. Av just been busy at sch in oo |
neurojosh:Tanks bro. But if u get OAU putme past questions, English and physics precisely from 2006 to 2012 you will notice what I am saying. Also, predegree past questions for each year compare to putme of the same year under review. |
akanbidamilare:Sorry for just replying, av been busy lately with my project at school. I am always too tired to reply. I decided to suspend it because I decern people will fail if they follow my approach. Truly there is effecient study but not for jamb, because jamb set all topics and use all textbooks unlike putme. For now, read everything readable, get 300+ in utme . When its time for putme , you will then understand the different between studying for UI putme, FUNAAB putme and OAU putme. That is where my information will profit you. To summarise it all, if you study for UI putme as if you want to sit for FUNAAB's , you will be shocked. If you study for jamb, as if you are sitting for that past questions driven exam called OAU putme, you will be surprised. I can tell you how UI set questions for each subject, I av sat for 3 putme and I understand them. I am a FUNAAB student but if you prepare for FUNAAB putme like Ui putme, you might fail big time. It is in FUNAAB where 290+ is scoring 27% because of lack of efficient study. |

scromatan:Crossing is not has easy as you think. If you meet the minimum required CGPA, your HOD may not release you if you are one of his best. sometimes the department u are crossing to may decide not to accept transfer students. Why dont you go for D.E? |
Erflog:You are obviously right. Those past questions are very poor at proofreading for mistakes. |
Mobuoy19:FUNAAB did not admit students into management courses this year. Even the predegree stusents that was taken last year and were supposed to be admitted into 100l this year were told to change to another university early this year. Unless FG withdraw the new order, management is gone for good in FUNAAB. |
boyejo123:I av been studying u, seriously u are really brilliant. I don't know what u score in the last utme, but If you dont score 300+ in this coming utme, its must be because u didnt dot your I(s) and cross your T(s) while studying. |
Aybalance:it means d answer u got is just 70% of d energy generated. The remaining is friction. (70/100) Y = your previous answer. where Y is your new answer. |
Hardebaryor:He wouldn't pure out his value until he sees a need for it or a thirst for it. |
boyejo123:u solved it 100%. |
UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN PUTME PAST QUESTIONS PHYSICS. 1. A ball is thrown up into the air. At the highest point of its trajectory the ball: downwards (A) Is accelerating (B) has zero acceleration (C) is accelerating upwards (D) is still moving upwards Aball of mass 200 gmoving with a velocity of 8 2. Aball of mass 200 gmoving with a velocity of 8 m/s collides and sticks with another ball of mass 300 gmovingin the samedirection with velocity 4 m/s. Whatis the common velocity of the balls after the collision? (A) 5.6 ms-1 (B) 2.8 ms-1 (C) 11.2 ms-1 (D) 1.4 ms-1 3.A boy holds the end of a rubber cord from which hangs a solid metal ball, if the boy whirls the ball in a horizontal circle, keeping his hand still. If the rubber cord breaks when the ball is at a point on the circle, in what direction will the ball move? (A) towards the hand of the boy B. away from the hand of theboy C. inthe direction of the tangent to the circle at the point of break D. None of the above 4. A force of 20 Napplied parallel to the surface of horizontal table is just sufficient to make a block of mass 4 kg set for motion. Find the acceleration when the force is doubled. (A) 2 m/s (B) 4 ms-2 (C) 5 ms-2 (D) 10 ms-2 5. A man walks 1km due east and then 1 km due north. His displacement is (A) 1 kmN15°E (B) 1 Km N30°E (C) √2 km N45°E (D) 2 km N75°E |
I promised myself not to comment on this thread until I am admitted to MBBS. Today, I register my first comment here having fullfilled the promise I made to myself. I honour every boss here. |
oldfoolnigger:As in, comparing to previous thread , this year success ratio has a sharp increase. |
Ajet001:I can't just wait to meet everyone here in person. Good people have met online xo far. |
akanbidamilare:My brother, you are sitting on gold with lamlad chemistry, make use of it wisely and score 90. lamlad plus ababio was my major material. I am looking forward to seeing you with 90 in chemistry. If their are dark area, do not hesitate to bring it here. |
The highest score I saw in a particular subject this year utme was 99% in physics by a guy. It left my mouth wide open. As for me, my highest was 93% in physics. Why am I saying all this, to make everyone increase their expectations. Pls do not believe you can't score certain marks. In facts , expect and work towards scoring 370, xo that at the end you will not score less than 320+. As for me, I worked towards scoring 348 and I ended up with 322. If I had worked towards 300 instead, I would av scored 280+. I am not a born genius, I am as ordinary as anyone here can be, but something made all this happen, DILIGENCE AND PERSEVERANCE. I didn't give in because I did't understand physics calculations. I keep pressing, consulting several materials including online questions and answers platforms like this. I am looking forward to seeing everyone with 300+ . |
psalmhorah:I beg everyone who is sitting for 2018 utme and is yet to buy invisible teacher to do so. look at this wonderful testimony above. 90% in Use of English is possible, there are people who had close to it. without invisible teacher, my score was 50+% in jamb, to increase my score, I studied invisible teacher, but didn't give it too much priority like other subjects, because English is too wide. Guess what? my score rises to 73% in Use of English. Since you all started early, I see 80+ in Use of English. |
av accepted my MBBS admission. congrats to my course mates. |
Bobola07:After having 69.nonsense% , I didn't even bother checking the list again because the cutoff for my course was 75.76% I was angry at everybody and everything. I was angry at Nigeria ,I was angry at UI. I remembered I once angrily and painfully rejected Nigeria as my country. Some of those olodo cheaters who stop us last year because they got 9 (A)s through dubious means are now scoring 4/40 2/40 in common tests. They are getting kicked outa medical school. |
Salarys:I used to think sunlight was d answer, but after consulting several Past questions in addition to oau putme question and refrence, I was humbled to summit. One thing is that plant receive adequate sunlight in rainforest, which means sunlight cannot be a limiting factor since they always have more than enough. But for whatever reason, amount of rainfall is not constant, reason you will see a vague value in textbooks e.g 200-250mm per annum. sunlight supply is constant and adequate, but rainfall varies even in tropical forest. Rain fall in Lagos than Abeokuta. |
boyejo123:You are right, it is not amount of sunlight |
akanbidamilare:My brother, u must know everything. MIMD you, if you cram, there is high tendency you forget. Enjoy and understand it, it not hard. You will love it. |

kidneystones:Question 10 was a mistake, a different question was supposed to be there. |
akanbidamilare:It about to change. Just diligently follow. |
psalmhorah:We will be treating chemistry and physics. I hope math and art bosses will do justice to that. I am not a mathematics specialist. |
