Good day bro. I'm a U I student physiology 100 level. However I wrote this year Jamb and have 320. Though I choose UNILAG but I've realized that the score is not enough. Hence I'm thinking of Changing to U I .
1)How do I do it to avoid double matriculation.
2) How do I do it not to affect crossing in case U I want to allow many people to cross to MBBS This year.

1. I have a friend who did exactly what you did.

He was a student of biochemistry, UI, he deferred his admission immediately he saw his Utme result(328), and he afterward terminated his admission after putme (aggregate was well above 80).

As a result, there was no issue of double matriculation. If you need is whatsaap number, let me know, I will drop mine, you guyz can talk.

2. UI may not allow many crossing, don't rely on it.

Note this, the number of slot for crossing is determined by the number of people who left Mbbs in 100level.

In my set, just 1 girl left for America, hence, just 1 person was allowed to join us.

UI usually maximizes her slot (165) during admission, there is little or no room for crossing.

To everyone who scored between 280-310 Applying for Mbbs in South west Federal university.

You guyz should triple fold your reading effort above 320+ candidates, you really have greater work to do.


No one with 300+ will be careless to see it go down the drain.

In fact, someone who scoreed 320+ is no longer aiming for Mbbs admission, but aiming to break their school putme highest mark record.


I know 280-310 is a very great score, sadly, competition has reduce it to peanut.

And it keeps getting more competitive and bloody yearly.

To back up my claim, someone on this forum with 88% in putme, couldn't make it into UI Mbbs, because his Utme( 278) makes him 0.1 below the cutoff..

Very painful, so anyone one with less than 300, opting for UI Mbbs should please aim for 95% in putme.

We have seen 93%, the guy that had 90% in 2014 scored 240+ in Utme, so it is possible.

Let me drop a bad news, hundreds of 300+ mark wasted last year among UI Mbbs aspirants alone due to competition.

And I am sure it is same for many universities, your assignment is to make sure yours won't be part of the wasted 300+ this year.

I have an issue, Jamb instructed that we use their eligibility checker this year to see what utme subject combination each school or course needed. I want to study CSC in UI and I was ask to chose Eng, Mat, Phy and one of Econs, che, bio or geo. I chose economics, after jamb I saw on UI official website that their subject combination for CSC is Eng Mat Phy and Che.

Does this mean I will be doing Che in the Putme, or I can still do economics in the Putme or I don't have the right utme combination

Jesus!!! You have made a very costly mistake.

Jamb gave a general acceptable standard, no university accept economics for computer science in place of chemistry, not even UI.

However, in your putme, you will offer chemistry, and not economics.

The danger here is that, a wrong subject combination always equals to no admission even if you had the highest aggregate for the whole university.

Spot on！Boss i came across supplementary list last year and 448 were admitted for mbbs. Over 100were admitted for merit list. The current 100lvl are more than 550 for a quota of 200 max. It is sickening.

UI has the best medical school in Nigeria, and highest carrying capacity for Mbbs, proven by NUC.

Yet UI with a capacity of 180, doesn't go beyond 165 for both DE, and Utme during admission process.

I understand what UNN is doing, they will admit student in their numbers, then weed them off en mass, as they go higher.

I am not in support of this kind of system.

You definitely have chances, just score high in putme. 80%+ in putme should give you rest.

It should work. If you are fast enough, because I really don't know how UI get to know those who have matriculated before.

Immediately you see your Putme result, you should be able to predict if you stand a chance, then you can terminate it before the cutoff mark is determined.

The surest way is to score very very in utme.

Yes, you will be informed during your orientation program. If you wish to choose ui again for another course, you will need to terminate that admission and applied again.

However, I know of someone who did it another way . He wanted to applied for Mbbs, he retook Utme.

When his Utme result was released and he was sure he will be admitted with his Utme score (328), he deferred is admission, and sit for putme. He finally terminated the admission when the cutoff was released.

I can't say precisely.

You will need your credentials ( birth certificate, yellow fever slip, your academic credentials from ssce to postutme). That is all I could remember for now.

100 level

GES 107 (HIV/Aids)
GES 108(French)
GES 101( Use of English)

Philosophy and logic is done in 200l in my own department (medicine and surgery).


You will not be doing a lot of courses in 100level.

Just zoology, botany, and chemistry. I am not sure if you guyz will offer physics.

However, zoo is not just a single course, it will be offered under 5 different course code for the whole session.

After acceptance fee and school fees is registration. You will be communicated to, on the modalities.

Yes. You will all do the same course at CBN lecture theater, faculty of science.

its wise in any agric venture your still new in to start small so if you fail the fall will not rattle the ritcher scale,my advice is to scale down from 1 acre to half,use hybrid or proven opv varieties and do the nursery yourself,use organic manure 50/50 with soil in nursery,after transplant apply organic manure in each planting hole and start applying npk 201010+urea fertilizer one plastic spoon each crop every 15 days,any good RED colour habanero or scotch bonnet variety will move market,I can't recommend any variety now the germination issues are playing open monkey with farmers.

I didn't make use of any.

That was one of my biggest mess.

I listened to the local farmers who claim they don't use any fertilizer, and I learnt my lesson in a hard way..

I bought the pepper seedlings from one of them(3,000+), another mistake I made.

They didn't grow beyond the size they were when I bought the seedlings.

your major problems are goats and poor soil or poor management,even if you plant avenir or any exotic hybrid varieties it will end up the same,your crops are lacking nutrients and that is the main cause of your failures,I have seen instances were seeds are source from ripe matured pods in the open market and processed and it still gave a good account,with proper fertilization program.

I planted an acre of pepper this year, but it ended in collosal lose due to the following
1. Goat invasion (They always eat up my pepper)
2. Poor seed breed (planted a local open market breed, it appeared the same way for 2 months )
3. Nutrition deficiency(I was deceived by villagers that I was planting on a virgin land, used just once 3 years ago) .

I have familiarize myself with pepper farming in the past.

My question is has follows.

Which variety of habenero and bawa is advisable to plant.

Following this thread, I could see avenir f1 is a big mess.

I am considering demon f1 for Bawa. Please who has a testimony of how this variety farewell in South West.

302/400 and he was shouting foul play. Maybe he thought Mbbs is equally sorted after like Education Management.

I am a medical student in UI, UI doesn't have catchment area, 100% admission slot is by merit.

However, there are almost 400 candidates that score 300+ in utme every year, and the carrying capacity for Mbbs in UI is just 180.

That means, several candidates with 320+ won't end up getting Mbbs in the end, by the time aggregate score is determined.

There is no foul play in this matter, only ignorant people who is not in the system will type such gibberish.
