PETERiCHY:The OPEC meeting ended on Monday without an agreement among its members regarding the production cuts next year. Instead, the meeting ended with three of its heavyweights—Russia, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE—holding different opinions as to how to handle things going forward. The meeting with OPEC+ was set to resume tomorrow, but a late—and a rather surprising—announcement came in the afternoon saying that the meetings had been rescheduled to December 3 as more talks are needed. https://oilprice.com/Latest-Energy-News/World-News/OPEC-Forced-To-Reschedule-Meeting-As-Disagreements-Persist.html There is fire on the mountain Run! locodemy:Oil facilities owned by Shell/Agip were attacked on Wednesday by unidentified people in a sign that militant activities may have resumed again in the oil-rich Niger Delta region of Nigeria. Several explosions were heard in the facilities located at the Ikarama community in Yenagoa Bayelsa forcing Shell to shut down the facility. Nigeria faces a precarious economic crunch that cannot afford to be worsened by militant on oil facilities. According to media reports tracked by Nairametrics, a spokesperson from Shell, Michael Adande, confirmed the explosions admitting that the facility was shut down to minimize the impact. https://nairametrics.com/2020/11/26/shell-agip-oil-fields-explosion-how-the-community-battles-air-pollution/ LOCO you are no longer in touch with REALITY better go and beg your VILLAGE PEOPLE

PETERiCHY:House of Representatives Commitee on Science and Technology Monday said that the 2021 budget as presented by President Muhammadu Buhari was incapable of lifting Nigeria from the current economic recession. It will be recalled that Buhari in early October this year presented 2021 budget estimate of N13.08 trillion to the national assembly for approval. Last Saturday, the National Bureau of Statistics, NBS, announced that Nigeria had slid into recession, the second time in five years. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2020/11/2021-budget-not-capable-of-addressing-nigerias-recession-reps/amp |

FOOD 4 THOUGHT Put a frog into a vessel fill with water and start heating the water. As the temperature of the water begins to rise, the frog adjust its body temperature accordingly. The frog keeps adjusting its body temperature with the increasing temperature of the water. Just when the water is about to reach boiling point, the frog cannot adjust anymore. At this point the frog decides to jump out. The frog tries to jump but it is unable to do so because it has lost all its strength in adjusting with the rising water temperature. Very soon the frog dies. What killed the frog? Think about it! I know many of us will say the boiling water. But the truth about what killed the frog was its own inability to decide when to jump out. We all need to adjust with people & situations, but we need to be sure when we need to adjust & when we need to move on. There are times when we need to face the situation and take appropriate actions. If we allow people to exploit us physically, emotionally, financially, spiritually or mentally they will continue to do so. Let us decide when to jump! Let's jump while we still have the strength

PETERiCHY:Nigeria, Africa’s biggest economy, has entered its second recession in five years as official figures published on Saturday show that the economy shrank again in the third quarter of this year. This year’s recession, ocassioned by the economic fallout of the COVID-19 pandemic, is worse than that of 2016. The National Bureau of Statistics, in its Gross Domestic Product report for Q3, said the GDP, the broadest measure of economic prosperity, fell by 3.62 in the three months to September. Economists consider two consecutive quarters of shrinking GDP as the technical definition of a recession. For the first time in more than three years, the Nigerian economy shrank in the second quarter of this year as the GDP fell by 6.10 per cent, compared with a growth of 1.87 per cent in Q1. https://punchng.com/breaking-nigeria-plunges-into-second-recession-in-five-years/?utm_source=Smartech&utm_medium=webpush%20notification&utm_campaign=Nigeria%20plunges&__sta=%7CFVJQ&__stm_medium=bpn&__stm_source=smartech
