PETERiCHY: Today GUINESS closedc@N18 but our bids at N17 didn't get filled so 2moro we move it down to N16.50k junction.
For the NEWBIES the month of JUNE is for SUMMER HOLIDAY when people go to catch fun at beaches. So nothing really PROPELS a general UPWARD stock price MOVEMENT at this time of the year.
SMART TRADERS will mostly swoop on the MARKET at BARGAIN PRICES towards MONTH END in anticipation H/Y results that will start ROLLING out from mid JULY.
BARGAIN HUNTERS TAKE NOTE! GUINNESS NIGERIA PLC Poor operating performance; downgrade to Sell In its recently released 9M 2020 results, Guinness Nigeria (Guinness) reported a 5.3% y/y decline in Revenue to N96.0bn from N101.4bn in 9M 2019. On q/q basis, Revenue d eclined 33.2% to N27.7bn in Q3 2020 (Jan - Mar 2020) from N41.4bn in Q2 2020. Pressured by higher excise as well as closure of on-trade channels in the final week of the quarter, the compans performance in Q3 2020 (historically one of the best quarters for Guinness) was weak with Q3 2020 Revenue and Net Income declining 17.6% and 97.2% respectively when compared with Q3 2019. We cut our Revenue forecast for the rest of the year as on-trade channels remained shut for the first 5 weeks of Q4 2020 (Apr - Jun 2020) while ceremonial activities remain banned in many states in the country. Furthermore, while we expect lower barley price would provide some support to Gross Profit, we expect Opex and Finance cost to remain significant pressure points in Q4. We forecast a loss in the final quarter of the year which would pressure FY 2020e Net Income lower. We cut our target price for Guinness Nigeria to N15.08/s from N32.12/s previousl y which implies a 21.5% downside to Wednesdays closing price of N19.20/s. Thus, we downgrade our recommendation to a SELL from HOLD. We have revised down our profit lines steeply and lower pricing multiples in our relative valuation models given the companys poor operating performance relative to peers. We arrive at our target price using a combination of the single stage FCFF model and Relative valuation in the ratio 60:40 with the greater weighting on the FCFF methodology. COPIED/CSL. GonFreecss1: I am cool dear. E don tey small.
As for the message. Well, some people missed the bus. Sorry about that. Do not allow the persistence of continuous talk about any asset make you buy based on FOMO. As a dividend hunter I am quite patient. Always fundamentally sound stock, yes! Some bad stocks will move up, please do not FOMO!
And for the newbies here, some people would like to tell you Dividend hunting is stupid, it is this or that. People will keep persistently mentioning particular stocks day and night, with wonderful dreams about it. People will make recommendations.
All I will say is learn from all of the above. Know why “you” are buying anything, and if for any reason something you bought goes down in price and the reasons you bought it in the first place are still there, you should be happy to buy more at lower prices. Cc Zenith? I happily bought more down to the gates and rejoiced in ascension. Hope you have taking your profit on Zenithbk because it's heading back to N11. that's a whooping N6 discount. Chibuking81: And again If he can tell us the fair price of the shareholders holdings per a unit after unbundling, I.e in 1. One unit of UACN ( with final year EPs of #1.32 including the property sell, and 10 kobo dividend payment https://m.marketscreener.com/UAC-OF-NIGERIA-PLC-10372751/news/UAC-of-Nigeria-UACN-to-Pay-Shareholders-N288-Million-Dividend-Despite-Loss-30459059/) 2. Six unit of UAC property ( with negative earning of - 612 kobo × 6 = -3672 kobo, no hope of dividend in the near future) 3. Half unit of UPDC REIT ( with q1 result of 16 kobo, all things been equal with expected final year EPs of 16 * 4 = 64 kobo/ 2 = 32 kobo)
What will be the total worth of the three in 1 unit holding of UACN after the unbundling door has been close?
Note 1. Let 80 kobo current price of UAC property not deceives one. Even if they give 6 to 1 unit, the moment unbundling happening, before your own allotted share will reflect, you will see the stock on 10% loss daily with fully offer no bid, till it reaches 20 kobo carpark with millions of offer continually. Meaning that its as good as not having a stock. in the area of #1.20 with difficult time to bail out.
2. UACN parent company going by 2018 EPs, is with 96 kobo EPs, in the area of #2 stock 3. UPDC REIT is expected to have about 64 kobo 2020 final, then divided by two to get half will give you 32 kobo, in the area of #1.7 because of high % of dividend they pay.
#2+ #1.7+ #1.20 (with difficult in bailing out) approximately = #5. like its over price with their current price. It's this same analysis-paralysis that made you miss Zenithbk at circa N11 while you kept waiting at N5 now that BARGAIN HUNTERS are codedly taking profit at circaN17 you jumped in with consolation that's it's a fundemental stock. Coolcash1: Tested the NYSE/NASDAQ waters yesterday for the first time and was a great feeling. I realize that its a market that is, of course deeper than nse and money could be lost or made within a blink of an eye. Based on financial management theory, I will say their market is an Efficient market where prices quickly reflect information about company performance, industry news and economic situation as Investors don't waste time reacting to such news in that clime...
However, i was shocked when a share that traded below $1 suddenly rose to almost $20 yesterday. I was stunned wondering why a stock will amass such crazy gain in a day. Anyways, i am gradually settling down to better understand the market more. NYSE has been around for over 200yrs with over 3million stocks to choose from |

This conglomerates has no interest in their shareholders. They are after stealing and draining the potential returns on shareholders investment.
