Good evening my dear nairalanders.
I write this with a heavy heart. It started a few years back when I was still in secondary school. I noticed i had a lump in one of my breast but I didn't take it serious because I assumed i was too young for that.
Later on, i noticed that the lumps were about 3 in each breast and i was damn scared.
I told my mom about it and she said we would go to the hospital so it would be removed and I became more scared.
I imagined how they would cut me open 3times on each breast.I went to a hospital then and they ran a test and identified a lump then said i should go for a mammography but I didn't go cus money wasn't coming through then
My mom organized for a man in our area (he operates on people but he is not a doctor)he said he would give me an injection that will merge the lumps together so that it will be easy to operate.
Some of my aunties didn't support the idea cus he is not a doctor and they said I'm also too young to be going to quacks .
Late last year i felt a strange pain in a part of my breast and I started crying(not for the pain) but the thought of me having cancer. I told my mom and she became very worried but i told her that it wasn't serious so she could stop worrying.
Today that kind of pain started again. Though not serious but I'm just too scared

It's simple. Find a reputable hospital and lodge your complaints. Even if you're eventually operated on, the lumps removed MUST be taken to a laboratory for further investigations. Shalom.
