Realdeals: I'm sure there will be a way out, FG might create a special window for fuel importers to access FX at a lower rate than the N360/$, maybe N280/N250. This step will obviously create a rumble but it's achievable if they wanted. The damage an increase in fuel price and the expected salary increase will caused on the economy & ordinary Nigerians should better not be imagined. That special window amounts to subsidy. I believe they know what that entails. |

jakD: That's terrible! Some parents can be so careless and stupid to the extent that they never bothered to know the whereabouts of their kids, even some will see those kids at dangerous places but won't care. Imagine what this caused! In the meantime, Nigerians at times contribute to their own deaths, maybe if the boy had used the seat belt, this might have been prevented. Rest in peace anyway! Yes. The child had no seat belt. This what usually happens. A child at the back and at the center without seat belt will usually fly to the front and heat the wind screen. these are the things that usually happen. |

Mynd44: These are the former Sec Gens of the OAU
1. Diallo Telli of Guinea (1963-1972) 2. Ezo Ekangaki of Cameroon (1972-1974) 3. William Eketi Mbomoua of Cameroon (1974-1978) 4. Edem Kodjo of Togo (1978-1983) 5. Peter Onu of Nigeria (1983-1985) 6. Ide Omaru of Niger Republic (1985-1989) 7. Salim Ahmed Salim of Tanzania (1989-2001).
Notice that none of the top 5 financiers of the OAU ever had their nationals as Sec Gen. Onu was there in an acting state. Not Nigeria, South Africa, Egypt, Algeria and Libya because they did so so as not to intimidate other states.
It was a gentleman's agreement that Nigeria had to honor for the sake of the OAU Is it possible that Peter Onu just put up himself for the post? |
