Sincere 9gerian: Rochas is a media man who is always in the news. So dont blame me for expressing my opinion about him. T A Orji on the other hand is rarely in the news. And most importantly, I was not committed to the election of TA Orji unlike Rochas. So if TA Orji has performed poorly, which seems to be the preponderance of opinion, then that is the business of those who supported or elected him and those who reside in that state. But Rochas has failed me. QED. And this is not because he is in APC, after all he is not the only APC governor.
so why or how has he failed you?why are you insisting on calling him out and not the man in abia after all you are from enugu. And for your information, orji is on ait news bar almost every day so if that is not being a 'media man' , i dont know what is.

obj is the devil himself.granted. But please can anyone of you tell me what message he passed to GEJ that is NOT TRUE? Why is it so hard to dissociate the message from the messenger?

Sincere 9gerian: I guess you didn't bother to read my post before your emotional outburst. There are two reasons in that post and many more. In fact, discussing Rochas is a waste of time.
please go and sit down somewhere.you apply double standards and expect to be taken seriously. What of your pdp man in abia.shouldnt all well meaning easterners focus on that state and question the rot going on there? But No, you and your ilk would prefer to turn a blind eye to whats going on there.

Omaresh: I was born in ughelli and lived there till 2008. the construction of this road started around 2006/07 by setraco construction company, its a simple dual carriage way from effurun to port harcourt. stop calling it the east west road.

liberty300: its a shame to see someone like you that claims to be matured and we'll read to waste his time on such nonsense on the Internet. All you do is go about threads involving "igbo" to talk trash, is that a job opportunity? Do u get paid to act this shallow? Cos if you aren't, den my friend, I must say u r a disgrace to waste your time on childish nonsense
dont waste your time on this one.

Howmanage: it must be clear to everyone that igbo nation and yoruba nation love each other sometimes secretly, on NL its like this warped romance cheesy. Kinda like that Somali guy crushing on everything Nairaland but too ashamed to admit it! But seriously, lets take the communication levels here on NL up a notch please

obayaya: otoks the single lane just in front of Uniport is 3 lanes..

why do you hate GEJ so much?
which three lanes? Its two lanes.meaning it can take two cars with enough elbow room for the cars.
Politics › Re: The Shameful Level Of Tribalism On Nairaland by phantom(m): 2:55pm On Dec 19, 2013
Howmanage: I agree with the op. It has become very boring tit for tat. Wish people would let the tit for tat go with 2013 and we start 2014 with a truce. Not to say you cant criticize others constructively or even according to your own agenda but would be better to do so with some sophistication rather than bleep this and that, curse this and that , coward here , thief there blah blah blah very low level communication.
truce? gringrin....by the end of 2012 there was a truce.by march 2013, they had thrown it into the gutter. Forget it!

itsrandeeboi: Thank you, you made a lot of sense! It is really surprising how something like this is allowed to continue when the admin and mods are educated people that really should know how dangerous it is to allow hate to be perpetuated on an online forum like this. Some people don't know that the anger they cause online is what someone will take out on his neighbour from another tribe that he used be on good terms with in real life.
but dont take it too serious..lol.in real life many of the posters here wont dare make their opinions known.i have cousins who are married to yorubas.some of my very good friends are yorubas.outside the south east and maybe some parts of the south south, the south west is were igbos marry the most from.but like you said the fear is for kids who come in here and pick up these negatives.

@op...you are not the first, but unfortunately you wont be the last.the sorry state of things got this bad about three years ago.there s always been tribalism on this forum but it wasnt this bad.we had people who advanced the course of their tribes in mature and diplomatic ways.opinions were respected then and you had posters who genuinely wanted to see this country get better.topics that had to do with the country and its progress always graced the front page of the politics section.i suppose even seun himself didnt seem to keen on monetization of the site then.but it looks like he seems to be making a s.h.it load of cash(pardon my expression) and does not mind ANY means to achieve that end including allowing tribalistic and hate filled threads see the light because of traffic.kind of what obtained centuries ago in rome when gladiators were thrown in the ring to kill themselves while people watched and screamed in excitement. sadly,it will continue.

The impact that industry has on our economy is vastly understated.
thank you.even though its not the governments place to give grants, the various monies jonathan gave to Nollywood was a welcome idea.

why are you shaking your big head? The PH segment is not even up to 50%.God knows when they ll get to eleme junction.By the way, that road is too narrow to be a trunk A federal highway.
Politics › Re: 338km East-west Road Fast Nearing Completion- Leadership Newspapers by phantom(m): 9:48am On Dec 18, 2013
well they ve started the dualization.the road has been divided from obiri ikwerre flyover down to choba.the part between the aforementioned fly over and rumokoro is not completely divided yet.setraco has also started the tarring of one lane especially towards the upth/choba axis.work is going on but i m not comfortable with the drainage.that highway should have an underground drainage system.at this age and time they are using deep open gutters.i see that road becoming flooded in the future.

kel4soft: OP

I tried to post on that road. I think Olobo road or so that leads to AP behind University of Port Harcourt main gate. That road wasn't properly graded well, infact as they were pouring asphalt, the road was wearing out the same time.

I have said, NDDC should be scrapped.
i agree.its nothing but a hot bed of corruption.
Politics › Re: Amechi, Your Wife Was "Stoned" At Mile 3 Market, Did It Stop You From Stealing? by phantom(m): 2:46pm On Dec 17, 2013
noblezone: I understand your exact sentiments, but unfortunately, we have a system that is so fraudulent.
Hold our leaders accountable?

I want us to explore this angle and discuss on it, I am very much interested in it.
How can the average Nigerian hold their leaders accountable?

On the other hand, I don't think it is necessary for me to blow my trumpets on what I have done as a way of contribution towards good governance. Yet, my position is that Amechi should have focused on meeting the needs of the people and not be playing to gallery as if he is different from the rest of the politicians.

In making his comment about "throwing of stones", he is declaring that Nigeria is in a state of lawlessness!
He is calling for anarchy and I saying that if anybody should call for anarchy in Nigeria, it is not Amechi!
you still miss the point my friend.you are still harping on 'throwing of stones'.what do you think it means? Because you are taking it on face value only.
Politics › Re: Bad Constructed Road By NDDC by phantom(m): 1:55pm On Dec 17, 2013
op what do you expect from an nddc road?
Politics › Re: Amechi, Your Wife Was "Stoned" At Mile 3 Market, Did It Stop You From Stealing? by phantom(m): 1:46pm On Dec 17, 2013
noblezone: Bros, it is not even the plight of the road that is the issue but for Amechi to have the audacity to pride himself as a thief because I have not stoned him is too much for me to bare. It is unfortunate that such people are governing us.
you are one person whose opinion i ve always respected on this forum, but i see that i must have grossly over rated you.i am shocked that you totally missed the point.he is merely asking you to hold your leaders accountable. If you live in port harcourt, how many times have you called in to programmes on radio to ask amaechi questions directly? Have you actually made any effort to attend any of the numerous town hall meetings to ask questions or make complaints? Have you made any effort to report an absentee doctor or teacher in one of the numerous health centres or schools when you visited? How many times have you made effort to move around project sites to see things for yourself and actually confirm those projects exist?this is the crux of the matter!
