Truckpusher: We can't be blaming Abuja when we can't hold our regional leaders accountable.
We must ensure that NDDC and our state Governors should make it known to us how our money is being spent and what they are spending it on.
The era of impunity is going to end - it is either we do this the easy way or the hard way.
Enough is Enough.
You can't be making our youths your thugs while enjoying our collective wealth. Honestly , it's high time somebody begin to tell them the ugly bitter truth and it's entirely their choice on how they want it done.
We came into this life once and only once we will live it and leave it too. you make this kind of beautiful post one minute and vote wike the next. How do we take you people seriously? You guys really need to get to rumuigbo Junction and take right (or left depending on where you are coming from) |

Truckpusher: definitely, even Wike needs to understand that it is no longer going to be business as usual and he needs to put structures that would ensure continuity in infrastructural development and socio -economic well being of the good people of Rivers State. We can't afford another four years of senseless looting as we've witnessed in Odili's and Amaechi's tenor with each one of them on a wild goose chase.
When we finalize our talk sha, we'll come up with a workable plan on how to achieve all we've discussed so far. We can't be blaming the center all the time while our governors and leaders are screwing up big time - our anger will soon catch up with those bastards. my man please remove amaechi from that list. That man is the best thing to come out of rivers after diette spiff + bole & fish. The infrastructural development in rivers this past 8years has surpassed that of 1979 to 1999 all together. Fact! Could more have been done? Definitely! But I will not throwaway amaechi because of petty and immature politics. QED |

The bitter truth is the next battle is not even for 2019 but 2023. Gej has caused an extensive damage to pdp that cannot be explained too much here and 4years can't and won't be enough to regroup and recover . Let sleeping dogs lie . sensible post from someone who sees the big picture. |

adanny01: I am ashamed that a Nigerian will talk this way. I ask you this simple question. Did you vote on the March 28th or not? If you didn't, i did. I voted for Buhari, other Nigerians did and he had the highest votes to win. I voted, Nigerians voted , it was not a cabal that voted. If thats what obviously happens in the SS and SE thats not what happened in my state or most parts of the north. 15.4million Nigerians against 12.8million voted GEJ out and you still cannot bring yourself out to believe it happened, thats why you are blaming a CABAL that is a mirage. exactly!! and im glad my vote was one of the 15.4 million people... |

I currently live in PH. APC and PDP have divided the state down to individual ikwerre families so it is IMPOSSIBLE for any of them to muster a million votes.
Ignore my brothers from the SE who do not live in rivers and who aré so so pained by GEJs loss that they are CLAIMING that we in Rivers state voted overwhelmingly for WIKE. Its not true!!
When the tribunal nullifies this election, the truth will come out. |
Politics › Re: Rivers Election Petition Tribunal Relocates To Abuja by phantom(m): 8:45pm On Apr 15, 2015 |
"Rivers people voted overwhelmingly".....which rivers people? The ones who couldnt leave their houses out of fear to vote or another. ....
PDP does not know what it has done to itself by losing power at the center.just watch events unfold.
Evidences abound including the testimony of international observers.everything will be taken into account.video's,audio documents etc. PDP better be ready to prove how they managed to get 90% voter turn out in a nation with the average of 50%. they should also explain why a police commissioner was tagged "anti-PDP" and transfered out of the state at the last minute. the PDP rigged rivers elections and perpetuated extreme violence with reckless abandon and are SO HOPEFUL AND SURE that the illegality WILL stand.lets watch!!! |

I have not for once regreted voting for this man..and ill do it a hundred times over. The choice between him and jonathan was never confusing to me. It was as clear as night and day. with almost every problem in this nation traceable to corruption, a vote for buhari is just pure and undiluted WISDOM. He is indeed the man! |

........ and let us note that GEJ would most likely still be president today if the PDP hadnt allowed those governors to leave. Whether we all like it or not, amaechi was probably the second person after tinubu to have played a major part in dethroning GEJ. he may have lost rivers state BUT the amaechi i know,at the federal level, will get back his structure, one way or the other.take that to the bank! Wike has won,but will he be allowed to rule in peace I dont think so.the end of such people is usually swift. he better start keeping money aside to bribe his way through. |

Politics › Re: Amaechi Replies Obanikoro: I Will Not Congratulate Wike, It’s Daylight Robbery by phantom(m): 1:13am On Apr 15, 2015 |
SkyBlue1: My issue is not that INEC declared Wike winner, I think i am about done feeling sorry for a people who make these sort of decisions founded on myopic and tribalistic stupidity, afterall Hitler won elections in Germany. My issue is the violence and the people that lost their lives, and to that I say people have to be brought to book.
APC should take the matter to court, they have a case. It wouldn't be the first time elections have been overturned or redone in Nigeria. The elections should be redone in a peaceful setting without such mass rigging, voter intimidation, and violence. And if Wike can win in such a setting then I say good luck to Rivers state. My feeling is after the euphoria of mass stupidity dies down people would come to the glaring realisation of "oh sh! t. we just elected Wike to run our affairs for us". It would probably be too late by then.
APC should seek redress at the tribunals. PDP should learn to get the people's mandate in a free and fair election and stop making such a mockery of the D in PDP. Regardless, the rest of the country moves on, with the aim of addressing development and tackling corruption. Can't wait till May 29th. well said! |
