hello my good people. thinking of getting a new phone but making a choice is a bit difficult. i love the phantom Z but i am afraid as the F7 a+ im currently using has started having charging issues even when i got a new battery and charger. im afraid the charging port might be bad. anyways,my new phone choices are the htc 820 desire or the phantom Z. tha former is more expensive by about 10k.its only appeal for me is that i can upgrade to lollipop from its current kitkat. on the other hand the tecno cant. the 820 also has LTE.i also hear theres no micro SD slot on the tecno and the battery is unremovable. please can someone confirm. P.S....my wife just hooked me up with a 'sailor'(though i think hes a deck hand on a ship) who wants to sell the samsung S5 to me for 40k,(no charger,no earpiece,no power bank but with the option of paying instalmentally).he says its new(claims the white men bring these things in brand new) but i am sceptical because of its authenticity. how do i confirm its genuiness??. so the bottomline is i am faced with these three choices. please your advice is needed.thanks...  |

| IMHO,squared off against 'the americans',this one falls waaayy short FOR NOW but i think it holds a lot of promise if this tempo is sustained. infact,i think anyone who watches 'allegiance' first before 'the americans',will fling the latter away after the first 2 episodes. its basically 'the americans' but with a lot of maggi,salt,onions etc added.. . i can bet many peeps on nairaland would prefer allegiance to the americansit has far more negative reviews than positive ones BUT should not be thrown away based on that. i know shows that have had terrible reviews but went on to do really well...e.g empire.

THAT IS THEIR USP(unique selling point).THAT IS WHAT DIFFERENTIATES THEM FROM THE OTHERS. homeland....... silly ? o dear!  looks like a lot of people here watch just the video and totally discard the audio. get subtitles for Gods sake and enjoy these shows. mad men looks slow but its not. there is infact a storyline(believe it or not).follow the storyline and THE DIALOGUE! i know that the fact that there are no kids in it "running around" is a turn off for many people here BUT it is a great series! power is a solid show! for the lady who lost time and money watching it,please send your account number make i refund you the money tomorrow somebody will come on here and tell me HOUSE OF CARDS or FARGO is rubbish!!  1 Like |

a friend on facebook posted this and it is exactly my sentiment. enjoy!! For a people who desire some form of change, ANYTHING BUT JONATHAN should suffice. I still maintain that stance. GEJ has come, seen and has certifiedly FAILED. But as the days go by, I am becoming increasingly of the conviction that Nigerians themselves (and no other) are the messiahs they seek. I say this because acquiring this form of critical thinking irrespective of your affiliation is the only thing that will save this country. Both men (Buhari and GEJ) have sufficient antecedents to argue strongly against them. No problem. For APC and Buhari, you can argue it happened in the past, even though sufficient explanations have not been given for some of those controversial decisions of the 80s. What worries me however, is the own goal the APC has just scored against itself. Many felt the issue of certificate was a distraction (I didn't think so), that the campaign should be issue based. Well, somehow, thanks to Soludo and many other Nigerians, the plot has gone back to issues. So, one would have thought the APC would pick the gauntlet and shine with the upcoming debates. It is dis-heartening to find out not even the debate by Channels TV (an "unbiased" umpire) is going to be honoured. THAT SAYS A LOT ABOUT THOSE WHO SEEK TO LEAD US. The last time I checked, debates are EXCLUSIVELY issue based, so why is the APC hiding Buhari and Osinbajo? Maybe Soludo was right afterall. Somehow, I had hoped that phrase "anything but Jonathan" would somehow not really be "anything" but at least "something" we were replacing GEJ with. I still hope so. But this own goal is a big minus. Its like refusing to take a badly needed penalty, while still boasting you have a good leg and the confidence to do so. Since "bias" of media outlets is the major reason for shying away, why are you still contesting elections under an UNTRUSTED, GOVERNMENT AGENCY called INEC? Nigerians, gird your loins. Its still a tough journey ahead, and February 14th is not going to be a magic wand. I am sure quite a few people know this, but when events like these occur, it needs re-iterating, because we tend to forget. The PDP thieves are in the spot-light now because they are the current rapists on the block, but we need to remember how Tinubu is buying up Lagos, we need to remember the inherent contradictions in APC in the run-up to this campaign, how they screamed "ISSUE BASED CAMPAIGNS" to high heavens only to avoid the most visible platform to high-light those issues. These memories will ensure we do not go to sleep should GEJ be rightly punished with defeat at the polls. |

GEJ just gave them soft landing. 3 months strike with NOTHING achieved but a promise from GEJ to look into the issues. i thought they had a document they wanted him to sign at the meeting?? JOHESU met alongside with the Professional Associations in NUAHP to appraise the On – going strike action, Yayale Ahmed report and other issues. At the end of the meeting the following resolutions were taken: That members of our various Unions at the Units/ state branches should observe fasting and prayer sessions on Tuesday, 20th of January, 2015 at their various institutions, asking God to touch the heart of the government to accede to our demands. Wednesday, 21st January, 2015,members should proceed on mass rally/protest at the state capitals, conduct press conferences /briefing and interviews. Thursday, 22nd January, 2015, Professional Associations/Union should hold mass rallies, press conferences, briefing, informing the media with the happenings in the Health sector. The Presidents of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) will be contacted to facilitate a meeting with Mr. President. Traditional rulers, all well meaning Nigerians will be contacted in reaching out to Mr. President.
