The Rivers State Government has announced the dissolution of the Board of Directors of the Greater Port Harcourt Authority with immediate effect. A statement issued in Port Harcourt on Sunday evening by Mr. Emma Okah on behalf of the state government, said the former administrator of the authority had been directed to handover the administration and all property of the authority in her possession to the secretary of the authority with immediate effect. The statement also said the state government had also directed refuse disposal contractors to resume work immediately to ensure that Port Harcourt, the state capital, returns to its former garden city status, which the statement alleged, was neglected by the former government of Rotimi Amaechi. In the past one week, most part of the state capital has been littered with uncleared refuse dumps. In some areas, refuse has taken up most of the roads, increasing traffic congestion in the metropolis. source yeah...the retrogression has begun. just sit back and watch this man meticulously tear down one by one,all amaechi has built because hes is just a mor.on who has absolutely no idea what governance is about. enjoy the show for the next 8 years! ** shudders at the thought** |
mr ikpeazu, please start by chopping off TA orjis two legs, then maybe, just maybe,we might start taking you seriously.. ![]() |
whatever position he is likely to be given,i am very happy GMB is screening people who have an unquestionable character. what this country needs is people who are incorruptible in KEY positions and i am delighted that GMB is carefully selecting the right men for the job.. |

I think in perspective the man Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was a man with a soft heart. AS A PERSON, on the street you are more likely to strike a friendship with this man than most of the so called performers we see today in our country........AS A PERSON that is. I am one of those who firmly believe that if you do not have a strong personality, you will easily be blinded by the shenanigans of political play, the make believe world of Power, and the sweet talks of psycophants. GEJ, though a very amiable fellow, did not have the personality to push through whatever his intentions were. Add that to his TOTAL unpreparedness, and we had the perfect storm. But in the next 24hours, all that will be in the past...,thankfully. Its time to move forward. Other than calling GEJ to account for his stewardship when the need arises, I hope the man will be allowed to rest. Unwanted leaders are rightly punished with rejection at the ballot. He has served that punishment. The only other issue is if we start finding strange amounts in funny bank accounts that suggest he was a party to all the malfeasance that went on under him. And yes........,any attempt to probe his regime to the intentional exclusion of others will doom the next administration. Nigerians may be long suffering, but they are definitely not zombies. GEJ's leadership style brought the country to its knees no doubt, but let us remember Nigeria was no where near paradise when he came in. Selective Justice almost always does more harm than good. Ask OBJ, ask Nuhu Ribadu. Even at that, no Leadership records sustainable success by continual bashing of predecessors. Visits to the past should be professional, result oriented, devoid of sentiments and only to the extent that it can have a bearing on the Present and future. While I am elated that we have avoided certain catastrophe, and while I look forward to the next regime with expectation, I am aware that it is only the vigilance of the populace that will keep us on the right track. An upright leader like GMB may make the journey easier, but a populace that is habitually watchful will rarely go wrong. Success is not a destination, but a journey with different stops. May the new driver steer us clear of Potholes and dead ends. Goodbye Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, wishing you the best in future endeavours....,welcome Muhammadu Buhari, may the winds sail with you. -culled from a post on facebook |

Ibime:yet, they want us to believe GEJ was the best thing since sliced bread. What a shame! |
Interesting..... Apart from this weird auto policy GEJ instituted, what exactly has this administration done to support this man and others like him? |
Hello.. Please does anyone have an idea how much to change sim2 tray for htc desire816 at i cell telecom, ikeja. Phone is 3 months old and still under warranty but I doubt if it will repaired free since it was physical damage while I was trying to remove a sim card. I need to have an idea of the cost of changing the tray at icelltelecom. Thanks |
Hello my good people. My htc desire 816 has a damaged sim2 port. This port supports only 2G so it's pretty much not efficient for browsing however I use it solely for calls. While trying to remove the sim, some of the pins got broken and since then the phone can't read any sim in the sim 2 port. I was advised to send it to icelltelecom at ikeja. Apparently, they are the recognised service center for htc in Nigeria. The phone is still under warranty and no phone technician has opened it. It's just 3months old. Please, for those who have experienced this or have an idea, I need to know how much it would take to fix it.just the sim 2. Sim1 is okay. Thanks. |
My mother is from mbaise so I am half Mbaise. Additionally, my wife is from Mbaise so my daughters are three quarters Mbaise.... Lol. I can attest to their strong spirit. My mom is a disciplinarian and all my father has he owes to my mum. She pushed him to excel and he did. My wife is doing the same to me. She pushed me to acquire a piece of land I wasn't quite ready for but which I'm beginning to see the sense in now. This same spirit runs in all of them including the ones who grew up in lagos (e.g my wife) and overseas. |
Na today? Mine was at education flyover in '96....and the funny thing was the dude picked the front pocket of my shirt..... But fortunately I noticed re on time and chased him down. The id.iot returned the money with a silly grin I nearly smacked of his face with a backhand..... ![]() |

baybeeboi:no problem.. When you see such topics you move on BUT it's annoying when you didn't read the post BUT you want a summary so you can jump in and reply. That's my point. |
It's a shame when serious topics/posts like this are put up and people come on here lamenting about the length of that topic or post. No intelligent response or reply other than to 'book space' and type nonsense. Seun has to do something about these people who are incapable of contributing anything meaningful to topics of this nature. It's a pity indeed and goes to show how low we have sunk as a nation as regards EDUCATION. @OP......lovely post. This is a serious issue that cannot be wished away. Unfortunately, it appears that the SA citizens involved in this madness are in the majority. But what worries me is the subtle encouragement they appear to be getting from their fellow countrymen who are not part of this violence BUT support it via their silence. Let the south Africans remember their businesses in other countries. MTN & DSTV are ripping us off but no Nigerian has raised hell. Let them move on. Apartheid ended about 20yrs ago but they still behave like 'oppressed people' |
Na their way. Later, someone will get up and tell me rivers elections would be allowed to stand... |

Whether we all like it or not, tinubu(even though I personally don't like the man) is indeed a phenomenon! |
Any southerner who thinks the northerner is the cause of our problems is a fool. |
