Olu317:Asuweh down. Twas bout 6ix yrs ago. I was a poor student of history then and his negative assertion towards d SW has pushed me into some form of research about d SW. |
Each time Tinubu's name is captioned on tabloids, I always know what to expect on NL. So predictable! Over 50℅ of NLders are youth and that got me wondering why we are d way we are. Tinubu had been a hustler from day one, even in his youthful days as a druggie. Sometimes we have to do whatever it takes in order to survive. Doing drug ain't sh.i.t and we know that. As Tinubu grows older, he becomes more and more relevant in politics, thus making people such as Buhari, Osibanjo, Ambode, Fashola, etc. How many politicians in African has achieved that? How many of us here on NL can pass thru this eye of a needle? All we do here is to criticize and condemn him and call him names. Tinubu is more aware of everything goin on than d bunch of cynics we have here. No wonder he lived by this favorite quote: "I EXPECT NOTHING. I EXPECT ANYTHING. I EXPECT EVERYTHING". I know that a lot of us don't know how hard it is to play politics with d Northerners. I have a feeling that If Chief Obafemi Awolowo and MKO were alive, and in ds Democratic dispensation, i don't think they couldn't have gone as far as Tinubu. That's I can tell. They're too civilised to go unconquered. "CIVISED PEOPLE ARE EASY TO CONQUE" (Charles de Gaulle). I'm not a Tinubu's fan per say, but I commend his strategies, aggression and his loyalty to his game |
gregyboy:I'm not a yoruba nor hausa-fulani. And I think I should correct ur negative impression about dirtiness. Skin color has nothing to do with dirtiness. So if u think u can connect d yoruba's dark complexion to dirtiness, u're wrong. Damn wrong. The yoruba I know, d Hausa-fulani I know, d igbos I know. So I can tell d difference. For instance, the Kwararafas (Middle beltians) region are dark (in complexion) by nature, but they are far from dirtiness. |
baby124:As for me, if there's a way to denounce the hausa-fulani of the credit, I'll be happy. One Fulani lecturer once told me in skool that we're a conquered region, that they're d original Nigerians. He claimed that d name "yoruba" was given to d SW by them and the yoruba knows that. I was hurt but had to maintain my cool, though he expected something worse. The point is, the "Yoruba" should be looked into. It may be late tho. I'm not a student of history but it's crazy how these uncircumcised bigots keeps coming up with sh.i.t as this! |
This thread is a bomb! My regrets are numerous: I wished I didn't make those unnecessary rivals in skool I wished I kept my taste a little low in skool, I'm sure I'd have carried every other students along. I wished I had treated girls better, perhaps I could have had a soulmate..lol, Above all, I wish I had attended only one university, ... Well, those who're still undergrad should be open to everythang. Don't live to regret cus, I don't regret. |
This is quite informative. FFK once condemned the "yoruba" but he was heavily criticized. I can't remember the tabloid where he wrote d article. He accrued the origin of "yoruba" to d hausa-fulani, but that they referred to d Westerners as "Yoruba" and that he will no longer succumb to the name...... Anyway, who can give us d origin of "hausa or Fulani" name. (Not their origin but d name "hausa") |
Eagba:I don't want to err on ur side of Illusionary knowledge bcs I respect people who are product of their creative thinking. If my view on Ubunja has so stirred up, then u better wake up. I (sort of) realized that you apparently live in d past. |
Eagba:Did u understand my gesture at all? Well, since u said you WONDER what I taught, I will not respond to u until u stop wondering. |
tot:I'm sure u're from Kogi. U guys can believe anything in ds govament as long as Buhari is involved. |
The day our girls/women accepts to reality like Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Angela Merkel, RELATIONSHIP will not receive judgement no more. |
I suspect that you've not been giving her gift or money and as a result, she decided to make such a request for her birthday. I'm not in doubt if she had asked for such a thing b4 now, u would broken up b4 one spells nairaland. I won't bash d poor girl like other nairalander simply because she asked her boy for a gift for d first time |
Baffupdrizz:U're funny |
alexistaiwo:One bottle of very chilled kunu aya for u |
fuckboys:Gaskiya I Neva knew d difference. Thanks. |
Lessonteacher:A request is different from a gift bro |
Aksnoopy:Damn! I never knew I'd find my like. Which state are u @? We can't talk on an open forum. |
How do I buy iPhone 6s? |
Aksnoopy:"You're not emotional". I'm emotionally impaired too. But seeking help seriously. Yours could be better bcs mine was too much obsession with Mossad, KGB, Nazi stuff I was exposed to at my earliest age. |
If Abba Kyari were alive, this Ashrif would have remained in detention and heaven will not fall. Gambari is working! |
VirginSearcher:U've got some taste. Where do u get d virgin and how old is she? |
When I read d opium war of 1839 where Britain humiliated China for not patronising them, I felt that China would be foolish not to try a revenge. In one way or d other they want to let d Britons know that they're stronger. Or else what could trigger such a threat over UK's diplomatic voice in HK? U.S on countless times have issue Russia some advice about their relationship with Kiev and |
Hear d kind of names that comes our when Buhari's kitchen cabinets are involved: thick, thick Fulani-Islamic names. |
Maxymilliano:Nice question! |
DenreleDave:You ehh! Putin na d baddest guy. |
Wiseandtrue:Glenfiddich 4 u brotherly |
Superb. Wether it's a work of imagination or real story, I don't know but I love this story. I only hoped that someday you'll give us a complete verse. Can u recommend some books on stuff like this? |
benodic:I got d book. It's deep but cool. |
The best treatment for boil is,GRINDED RAW BEANS. Just grind it, make a paste and paste it on d surface. Gbam it'll dry up within 24hrs. It's a natural remedy! |
* As for me, I see marriage as d best way to end a beautiful friendship, I see marriage as a romance in which the hero dies in d first act If marriage is to be enjoyed, the man should be deaf while d woman blind We all play fool one - to marry is to play it always. You don't know what happiness and freedom are, get married; then it's too late. I rest my case |
You sounds like an adolescent though. My candid advice for u is, tell your parents. Tell them that your school disagree with your course and you've been adviced to change ur course. When they ask for explanation, then you spill it out. Be careful how you say it so you don't kill somebody. Be strong and be conscious of nervous breakdown. If tell my own story......it's awfully crazy, but I'm good now |
