zizirecords: My question to you is this: how does the West African Pharmacy College issue its consultancy and specialist qualifications? I ask because a pharmacy colleague here in the NGO sector did a distant programme from the college, did an exam and was awarded fellowship shortly after. No training, no sessions, she never left her job here which is not even related to pharmacy. How does such a person now sit down with , say an ENT Surgeon and say I am a fellow specialist. I am not here to argue, I just want to learn. Thank you. Thank you for your question. This is why we should talk less, ask more questions and learn more. First, your observation about your pharmacist colleague is not true. He must have done a whole a lot in a space of 5-7years to earn that fellowship. There are different specialties in the college. Your pharmacist colleague could have done the administrative programme. Pharmacists who work in the hospital, will do the clinical programme. And within the clinical programme, there are sub -specialties. So you see, not every consultant pharmacist will work in the hospital. My friend, just be a bit more open minded, you will be dazed by the quality of work some pharmacists are doing in our hospitals. Again, to become a consultant means to know more in a given field or specialty. It requires acquiring advanced skills and competence. So anybody can be a consultant. The argument becomes flawed when physicians lay claim to the sole right of being called consultants. You can ask any other questions or concerns that you may have. |

Redfruit: Am more concerned with the requirements for attaining the consultancy cadre. If its simply years of service, then the state government has been deceptively led to push the health sector into a war of attrition. If its through undergoing rigorous postgraduate training then we might as well give it a trial. But the truth is that there is currently no postgraduate training college for pharmacists in the country and there is no enabling law to set up same. This action of the state government is more like changing the directorate cadre to consultancy cadre only. This is absolute display of ignorance. Well, it is a faceless forum so we may not get to know you. Kindly check out West Africa Post Graduate College of Pharmacists. You be amazed by their long history and the programmes they offer. |

Crude oil comfortably sitting above $75. Seems oil price news doesn't affect NSE anymore. To win in NSE as it stands today will require a lot of patients. Plenty activities but no real difference to portfolio size.
The real winners, will be investors who discreetly chose companies that will give 30-50% return. The days of 100% return seems to be behind us. |

He is the one speaking now. He is making very good points. He seems to be only intelligent persons among the ones that 've spoken so far. He is busy pointing out all the holes in the result. I like him. Nornah Awoh it the man. Muktar has done all his praise singing. Spent almost 15minutes singing praises of Tony. I learnt they pay some of them to attend AGMs. |

The objective is to get to the patient ASAP, Keke can maneuver perfectly in traffic. we must not use the west/whites as a standard for everything, we have to improvise to meet situations that are unique to us. So which traffic jam is in Ebonyi State that will need the navigation of Keke |

The January bull was somehow linked to increase in oil price. Now oil is rising in price but we haven't seen any bull yet. Bubu is out of town, the bull can come holla at us.
Only the strong and brave will make money in this market as it is now. Those being overly cautious ,you might wake to find share prices above your reach or may be below your reach. |

onegentleguy: It was indeed a thunderous voice that shock the very inner surface of the earth !! A voice, 88 times as loud as that like the strong wave of an ocean. A call with 'the solid symbol of the next melody in play'. …a voice with ‘the undertone of a dual call that involves a happy dining with a certain Mr President’. A call for the myriads of people to immediately ‘Flour their bread and sugar their tea before joining in a sweet dinner with the person of president Dangote’. …and the fulfillment that was later seen on the part of those who headed to the call was the harvest of plenty of financial gains !! For they had in their faces the absolute joy of many glad tidings, and all the good things that came with it.
While those who decided to procrastinate were later seen ‘wondering around the NSE room, carrying placards with the inscription I AM SO REGRATEFUL, boldly written on them’.
…for the appointed time to ‘dine with the president is either now or never’ !! Talking tongues that I can decode. Has the result popped. Has it done skrrrrriii? |
