Mcy56: My dear, my itchy fingers dey do me strong thing o, if I tell you wetin I buy and quickly sell back at loss (though not that much) you no go believe ...... but now na for fcmb and transcorp premise I dey erect my tent small small. Waiting to see what Lasaco and Nem will present as result first before I'll burn my fingers again. Hahahaha. I can understand. FCMB and Transcript not a bad one. Waiting to FCMB at 3plus naira. Meanwhile, you might want to consider Caverton. That stock will likely touch N5 in the next 3months. I suspect their first quarter will be great given all the election contracts they undertook plus more. I will consider Transcorp soon. |

All banks in Nigeria have released their result except First Bank. It is difficult to have faith in First Bank. |

It is not so difficult to see that FCMB did better than Fidelity in 2018 but people benchmarking FCMB against Fidelity probably because they share close spot on the exchange.
FCMB time will come if they continue to perform. |

Chibuking81: Caverton should be the best result so far released this week, before Finish posting going back to pick some at 2.49, what I see next was 2.58, from there full offer, hope one will still see it at #3 next week? This stock final EPS bit many stock at #5 and #8 naira hands down, they have better EPs than, like of Dangoteflour, Eterna, UACN, etc Mehn! They did a great job. Caverton is a now a N10 stock. Got to keep an eye on it. |

I know Fidelity bank misinformation on their declared dividend will cause the wrong action. Now that people are aware of the true state of things, offers have swelled up while bids have dropped.
Next week, will provide a better insight on what to buy and what not to buy.
Wema bank doesn't want to release it result? I they have nothing much to offer. |

kolaish: Their EPS is 44k. They are supposed to pay from their earnings. Bad for the shareholders, probably because of their merger with Kalanbina. They are almost paying out every profit they made. I guess there outstanding share ballooned. |

People buying fidelity bank, do not know the real gist yet. By the time the dust settles, they will realise they buying into 11kobo dividend. Very poor yield for some one buying for dividend purposes. |

Honestly, things will not change much until corporations starts getting law suits right, left and centre for their misbehaviours.
How can a company ear 79.16k and pay out 11k as dividend? It shows Fidelity bank doesn't respect it shareholders at all.
Well, anything goes in Nigeria. |

We are in for another tough time..... It has been bloody all this while. I don't think we have anything to fear again. |

Chibuking81: To sell I don't know, depends on you, result will be out by tomorrow towards closing of the market or after the closing of market, this is because tomorrow will be the last working day of 90 days compulsory period to release final year companies result, and any companies that fail will pay fine, (this is for final year result, but quarterly result, 30 days). FCMB and Fidelity bank EPS will be good, but their dividend will be poor comparing, Zenith, afriprudent, UCAP, Jberger, UBA.
This poor payment of dividend most time, pushes their price down. FCMB dividend might be between 10/15 kobo likewise Fidelity bank.
For instance 1. If Zenith is at 24 and Fidelity at 2.4 kobo that means, 10 unit of Fidelity will give 1 unit of Zenith. 2. Zenith pay dividend of 2.50 + .30 = 2.80, that mean that Fidelity need to pay 28 kobo to be the same with Zenith.
But when the pay 14 kobo, that is paying half of Zenith bank dividend, from my view, it represent poor dividend payment. Great one. Let me go and buy lemon to make lemonade in case I get shocked. |

tritritri: Bro sell half and hold half...My reason is ...After declaration of dividend..stock always go downward (nse style )...so if AM U ooh.i will sale ALL tomorrow morning .It happened to zenith and GTB and others.
But if ur confident dat result will push price higher..then keep it....but trust me everyone knws dis but woun't say because of blame game..
Blame me if u follow my advice ..i will take d blame .. The blame game got me laughing. Anybody blaming someone else for his investment decision is just being emotional. Win or lose, the investor is always 100% responsible. Let's see the surprise called NSE as it unfolds in the days ahead. |
