This is very good thinking and i am hoping to see more of this.

We had 12 years of an ultra-corrupt PDP in charge.

I hope this answer helps.
The problems of Nigeria goes beyond PDP and i wonder why you guys are not complaining of the problems caused by military rule or since the sixties?.

Our problem is not caused by a party and neither can it be solved by a party so Nigerians must come together to fix their country.
Politics › Prelude To Free And Fair Election Inec Releases Guide To Elections by Pharoh(op): 9:10pm On Mar 30, 2011
Four days to the National Assembly elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission on its Twittter post said it is ready to ensure free and fair elections in Nigeria, urging voters to go out and exercise their rights.

It urged that incidents and developments during the elections be reported to the Twittter platform called @inecnigeria.

The commission listed the procedure for ensuring a successful voting activity:

>>Take your Voter’s Card to the polling unit where you registered recently to be accredited between 8am-12noon.

>>During the accreditation stage, an appropriate finger of your left hand will be marked with indelible ink as proof of accreditation.

>>Anyone who fails to join the queue by 12 noon when the poll orderly stands behind the last person will not be eligible for accreditation, but whoever is already waiting in the queue before 12:00 noon will get accredited no matter the time.

>>Please note that anyone without his/her Voter’s Card has no business going near the polling centre as he/she will not be accredited.

>>After your accreditation, you must be back on the queue at 12:30 p.m. for another head count of accredited voters who show up to vote.

>>There will be a head count, and the number of accredited voters will be announced loudly by the Presiding Officer to all present.

>>Anyone who shows up after the head count is taken will not be allowed to join the queue, though he/she may have been earlier accredited.

>>During the voting process, after the polling officials have verified your accreditation, appropriate finger of your right hand will be marked with indelible ink as proof of your having shown up to vote.

>>Thereafter, you will be issued with ballot papers signed, stamped and dated appropriately by the Presiding Officer.

>>On getting the ballot paper, you’ll move to the voting cubicle compartment to fingerprint the space for the party candidate of your choice

>>You’ll then return into the open and proceed to drop the ballot in the transparent Ballot Box provided.

>>Please note that Voting closes for each polling unit when the last person on the queue votes.

>>After voting, you may remain at the polling unit until the votes are sorted, counted and the tally announced by the Presiding Officer.

>>You must conduct yourself in a peaceful and orderly manner if you choose to stay behind and await the tally.

>>Adequate provisions have been made by INEC to enable physically challenged persons to exercise their franchise.

>>Please note that proxy voting will on no account be allowed.

>>INEC’s Blackberry PIN released: 2687A1CA

How did Africans underdeveloped Africa?
We were busy fighting each other instead of working together to build a nation and there has been too much of individualism, sellout and disunity.

Why is he trying to say it, why can't he say it?
Because it is not perfect yet when compared to what is obtainable in the western world. You know there are still some backward practice and misconceptions from our religion and traditional practices that still discriminates against women.

God's willing? What kind of grammar is that?

And what kind of tone is that in talking about women,  "We even give them challenging jobs". What does "even" mean? Before nko?
He is trying to say that the government does not practice the discrimination of women that you can find very deep in the African context.

There was two sessions yesterday for the VP debates, the first was full why sambo debated alone because bakare, adeola and skekarau VP did not attend. So four today and four 2moro but unfortunately the other three pulled out so goodluck will be doing it alone i guess.

Even if they shyt in your plate, you will still like it.

Whats there to like about this farce?
I like it just like the other debates as well because they all served as a platform where the candidates can present their programs to the electorate to judge and decide who to vote for.

I also like it that it was very healthy, no abuse and unnecessary attacks to the opposing candidates, the ruling government or pdp as a party. We have heard about the pdp already so just present your programs for us which is the goal and if you want to criticize PDP or the present government then do it constructively like we had today.

So that's my point and if you did not see anything to like about this debate then that is your opinion and i am also entitled to have mine.

Chris Okotie, and Dele momodu were conveniently dis-invited, even after almost a week of NEDG knowing that Ribadu, Buhari and Shekarau announced they were not showing.  grin
They have to give an official reply to BON if they are not coming and not by announcing that on the internet.

I really like this debate as it is healthy and you give your point for Nigerians to judge instead of attacking each other.

They might change their mind or let us wish that BON will allow dele momodu and okotie to replace them but whose fault is it?. Some people want to play the game of tit for tat and try to prove that they have morals instead of leaving their pride aside and using this platform to reach out to Nigerians.

i am for utomi,@playmode,take it easy,i know d situation is very bad an d d way utomi was hittin on points,i wanted to cry for nigeria cry cry cry

why cant we have more leaders like utomi, such a brilliant mind
We cannot have them in power because we are hypocrites, people were condemning BON as a debate that was not credible but it was the only platform where utomi was finally heard. The same people clamoring for change are the same people who did not see anything  wrong for NN24 picking the top 4 candidate that excluded utomi. The election is between cpc and pdp forget acn and anpp because just like utomi if you do not contest on the platform of the big parties.

Look at the people praising utomi and check their signature to know who they are actually supporting. Shekarau performed well in the debate but people will still vote buhari and ribadu over him. That is why i am just laughing at some people shouting change on the internet. If the progressives cannot support a person like pat utomi or donald duke then they blew it.

BON divided it into two sessions of four candidates each and goodluck will be debating with three other candidates 2moro. You cannot debate goodluck because you are not a contesting candidate for the presidential election. For the records i am not working for goodluck and do not have any access to him okay.

Three presidential candidates, Pat Utomi of the Social Democratic Mega Party (SDMP), John Dara of National Transformation Party (NTP) and Ebiti Ndok of the United National Party for Development (UNPD) are part of the first batch of candidates taking part in the presidential debate organized by the Nigerian Election Debate Group. Haminu Santuraki of the Mega Progressive Peoples Party (MPPP)did not turn up.

@efisher, that online link doesn't work. please is anyone watching online?
You have to register and login to watch but no need because they are rounding up right now. Just register so that you can watch the debate scheduled for 2moro.

eros:
So why didn't BON change the schedule since they know that Ribadu, Buhari and Shekarau will not be coming? Which means GEJ will be having the whole floor to himself. I really wish these 3 candidates will change their minds and make a mince meal out of GEJ tomorrow.

GOD BLESS NIGERIA
The other three candidates went to the press and said that they have decided not to participate because it will not be a credible debate. BON is insisting that they have not received a written reply of their decision not to participate so technically they are still expected until they receive an official reply from them.

tlops:
It doesnt go like that, NN24 organised their debate with their own criteria which only 4 parties qualified for. BON/NEDG made their requirements and sent invitations to qualified candidates but later realised that they were not-so-smart to have invited all, so in their usual not-so-smart attitude omitted their names altogether without any explanations. They should be sued for discrimination and negligence or whatever anyone deem fit.
Should we sue NN24 for discrimination as well?, BON found out that their criteria was faulty and promptly fixed it by discriminating against some candidate so what is the fuse?. If NN24 can discriminate than why not BON, the withdrawal the other three candidates messed up their system so they fixed it by excluding some candidates out of the debate. My point is we should leave every organization to manage the debate the way it suits them because non has been perfect in my opinion.

Are you in support of NN24 discriminating against Pat Utomi?, if not then what is the problem when BON decides to do the same to Okotie?. I don't care if they have been invited or uninvited but my point is BON has a right to manage their debate the way that works best for them.

@playmode this reply is for you as well.

What is with all this abuse for the president and beaf, for the records BON is the only organization that tried to carter for the whole aspirants. Goodluck will be debating with ribadu, buhari and shakarau tomorrow according to the schedule of the debate so he was not suppose to be here.

naijangel7:
Because the NN24 people already made it clear from the beginning  that they were inviting only the top 4 candidates based on their own guidelines. They didn't send out invitation letters and look for flimsy reasons to revoke them to shield any one candidate.
Thats the whole point sister, every debate organization is allowed to manage their debate the way they deem it fit until: We come to a stage where there are clear impartial rules for organizing debates in this country. I have said it from the beginning that the NN24 debate and whataboutus debate were not perfect to me so i will never condemn BON as each organization should be allowed to do whatever they like.

Just like everyone accepted the fact that NN24 can invite whomever they wish so we should accept the fact that BON can invite and reject any bloody candidate at any time. A simple apology is enough already for him so he should just accept that and stop making a mountain out of this simple rejection.

At the end of the day don't get me wrong i am not in support of the actions of NN24, BON and whataboutus but let everyone just accept the deficiencies the way it is and hope for a better organization in 2015. It is a learning process and we will surely get there someday.
