Good tip,
But what i have come to understand (Spoke with a dermatologist and he says diff people have diff skin)
If u have money u will be best knowing the type of skin u have and what u need to apply.

While i was in Uni, my face was constantly shinning, enough to fry fish, i had boils with pimples on top of them, the black spot was like someone used a black crayon on my skin.
I used everything i could afford, its so bad that when u speaking to someone, u know the person is staring at your face..

Cant believe what happened, but everything vanished with age.

Jobs/VacanciesHow To Prepare For Your Next Interview by pharuk(op): 2:11pm On Jul 01, 2011
Hi Guys, Decided to write a piece for those who have an interview or will be getting an interview soon.
A bit about me, I have attended over 30 interviews in 4 years (its weird but i think i enjoy having an interview than really staying in a job for a while) The reference of this article is from my personal experience, books, video tutorials on interview, one on one talk with HR and consulting firms and a cross sample of Employers. Though most of my research and findings is based in the UK and Nigeria, it could be used as a guide for any Recruiting organisation.
Mental fear of the unknown is often what produces the physical symptoms of nervousness. In addition to preparing yourself physically, you also need to prepare yourself mentally. The best way to prepare mentally is to know what may be coming. Fear of the unknown can only exist when there is an unknown. Take the time to understand some of the "standards" when it comes to interviewing questions.
The following are some of the most difficult questions you will face in the course of your job interviews. Some questions may seem rather simple on the surface--such as "Tell me about yourself"--but these questions can have a variety of answers. The more open-ended the question, the wider the variation in the answers. Once you have become practiced in your interviewing skills, you will find that you can use almost any question as a launching pad for a particular topic or compelling story.
Others are "classic" interview questions, such as, "What is your greatest weakness?" Questions which most people answer inappropriately. In this case, the standard textbook answer for the "greatest weakness" question is to give a veiled positive--"I work too much. I just work and work and work"--which ends up sending the wrong message. Either you are lying or, worse yet, you are telling the truth, in which case you define working too much as a weakness and really don't want to work much at all. Think about it.
The following answers are provided to give you a new perspective on how to answer tough interview questions. They are not there for you to lift from the page and insert into your next interview. They are there for you to use as the basic structure for formulating your own answers. While the specifics of each reply may not apply to you, try to follow the basic structure of the answer from the perspective of the interviewer. Answer the questions behaviourally, with specific examples that show clear evidence backs up what you are saying about yourself. Always provide information that shows you want to become the very best _____ for the company and that you have specifically prepared yourself to become exactly that. They want to be sold. They are waiting to be sold. Don't disappoint them!

I have summarised this article into two, for those who like things summarised and those who like specifics and Details.

Summarised Version
If you intend to skip some things down because it looks long!!! Please read this:
Speak clearly, try and mirror the interviewer gesture and body language, (if you can’t or unsure then don’t do it all) speak with your hands in some instances and give relevant examples, if there are things you don’t know: simply say i have not had a privilege of doing this but i believe am up to the task, make eye contact, if some questions are unclear or tough, ask them to repeat it (that gives your brain some seconds to reboot and gather the best answer) be very positive, never talk bad on a past employer or colleague because they believe you might do this to them, dress smartly, wipe your face from excess oil, arrive on time (between 10-15mins) if you are too early you might make the interviewer rush and you already know what happens if you are late. Ask intelligent questions and make them open-ended. Don’t say things like “so the company made profit last year, will you make same profit this year”? But you can rephrase e.g from your figures last year, I can tell that the company is making profit and expanding, could you let me know where u will be expanding too in the next 3 or 4 years and how you intend to deal with your competitors?

Detailed version
There are basically 2 types of Interview before you get the job:
1. Face to Face Interview
2. Telephone Interview
The most common is face to face interview, but i will cover Telephone Interview somewhere at the end of this article.

Face to Face Interview
1. First step after you have secured an interview is to start researching about the company, Get the facts and figures (Google them), get the origin, the CEO, Founder, mission statement, goals and objectives, vision, branches, annual profit, staff size, locations. Most of which could be found on the company website. If the company doesn’t have a website (especially in this 21st century then wahala dey!!) you can try calling the company as a researcher and get details. If there is no contact number for the company then you are better off selling oranges and recharge cards than working for a dodgy company.
2. Read the job description: Many people forget that the job description gives away what the company is after. A typical JD will have a summary of the company, person specification, qualities and experience sort for and the role of the job. So bear this in mind if they ask questions like why should we hire you?, what is you greatest strength and so on
3. Read your CV: it’s easy to get carried away and prepare for other things and forget the things that are on your CV that got you the interview. Remember the dates, roles in each job, your personal statement. I remember going for an interview and the lady picked up a line from my CV and I almost denied that that was me because I just copied someone’s CV, changed few things and that cost me the job
4. Tell me about yourself. This is not an opportunity to tell them where u were born and never start with my name is , (that is Epic Failure) you can ask them if you are unsure, you can start with, will you like to know what I have been doing 3 years back? then talk about your School course and how you loved it, if you were a student union representative, your grade (only if you graduated with good results) then talk about your jobs, what you gained from them. If you have a space in your CV you can tell them you were doing a course, or perhaps you needed time to be sure what field you wanted, or perhaps you went into business and it dint work out as planned. DONT LIE!! E.g My background to date has been centred around preparing myself to become the very best _____ I can become. Let me tell you specifically how I've prepared myself . . .
5. Why should I hire you?
Because I sincerely believe that I'm the best person for the job. I realize that there are many other college students who have the ability to do this job. I also have that ability. But I also bring an additional quality that makes me the very best person for the job--my attitude for excellence. Not just giving lip service to excellence, but putting every part of myself into achieving it. In _____ and _____ I have consistently reached for becoming the very best I can become by doing the following . . .
6. What is your long-range objective? Where do you want to be 10 or 15 years from now?
Although it's certainly difficult to predict things far into the future, I know what direction I want to develop toward. Within five years, I would like to become the very best _____ your company has. In fact, my personal career mission statement is to become a world-class _____ in the _____ industry. I will work toward becoming the expert that others rely upon. And in doing so, I feel I will be fully prepared to take on any greater responsibilities that might be presented in the long term.
7. How has your education prepared you for your career?
As you will note on my resume, I've taken not only the required core classes in the _____ field, I've also gone above and beyond. I've taken every class the college has to offer in the field and also completed an independent study project specifically in this area. But it's not just taking the classes to gain academic knowledge--I've taken each class, both inside and outside of my major, with this profession in mind. So when we're studying _____ in _____, I've viewed it from the perspective of _____. In addition, I've always tried to keep a practical view of how the information would apply to my job. Not just theory, but how it would actually apply. My capstone course project in my final semester involved developing a real-world model of _____, which is very similar to what might be used within your company. Let me tell you more about it . . .
8. Are you a team player?
Very much so. In fact, I've had opportunities in both athletics and academics to develop my skills as a team player. I was involved in _____ at the intramural level, including leading my team in assists during the past year--I always try to help others achieve their best. In academics, I've worked on several team projects, serving as both a member and team leader. I've seen the value of working together as a team to achieve a greater goal than any one of us could have achieved individually. As an example . . .
9. Have you ever had a conflict with a boss or professor? How was it resolved?
Yes, I have had conflicts in the past. Never major ones, but certainly there have been situations where there was a disagreement that needed to be resolved. I've found that when conflict occurs, it's because of a failure to see both sides of the situation. Therefore, I ask the other person to give me their perspective and at the same time ask that they allow me to fully explain my perspective. At that point, I would work with the person to find out if a compromise could be reached. If not, I would submit to their decision because they are my superior. In the end, you have to be willing to submit yourself to the directives of your superior, whether you're in full agreement or not. An example of this was when . . .
10. What is your greatest weakness?
I would say my greatest weakness has been my lack of proper planning in the past. I would over commit myself with too many variant tasks, then not be able to fully accomplish each as I would like. However, since I've come to recognize that weakness, I've taken steps to correct it. For example, I now carry a planning calendar in my pocket so that I can plan all of my appointments and "to do" items. Here, let me show you how I have this week planned out . . .
11. If I were to ask your professors to describe you, what would they say?
I believe they would say I'm a very energetic person, that I put my mind to the task at hand and see to it that it's accomplished. They would say that if they ever had something that needed to be done, I was the person who they could always depend on to see that it was accomplished. They would say that I always took a keen interest in the subjects I was studying and always sought ways to apply the knowledge in real world settings. Am I just guessing that they would say these things? No, in fact, I'm quite certain they would say those things because I have with me several letters of recommendation from my professors, and those are their very words. Let me show you . . .
12. What qualities do you feel a successful manager should have?
The key quality should be leadership--the ability to be the visionary for the people who are working under them. The person who can set the course and direction for subordinates. A manager should also be a positive role model for others to follow. The highest calling of a true leader is inspiring others to reach the highest of their abilities. I'd like to tell you about a person who I consider to be a true leader . . .
13. If you had to live your life over again, what would you change?
That's a good question. I realize that it can be very easy to continually look back and wish that things had been different in the past. But I also realize that things in the past cannot be changed, that only things in the future can be changed. That's why I continually strive to improve myself each and every day and that's why I'm working hard to continually increase my knowledge in the _____ field. That's also the reason why I want to become the very best _____ your company has ever had. To make positive change. And all of that is still in the future. So in answer to your question, there isn't anything in my past that I would change. I look only to the future to make changes in my life.

Telephone Interview

From when you pick up the phone, your interview has commenced so don’t say things like “Yellooo, who is this, how did you get my number, speak up i can’t hear you, or let someone pick you call and says, John Doe is in the toilet”
Make sure your CV is in front of you and the company details as well as other materials needed (calculator), be in a quiet room and above all do not over talk, keep asking if the interviewer will want to know more or not,
That’s It folks, as i described this is generic,
All the best in your interview and drop a feedback if you think this helped you or you need more information.

Hi Folks, I thought i Shld add my own bit of shame,

I got an interview from a world brand company, was too excited and got carried away with the pay, I asked for interview guidelines and if it was a test or competency based. The guy on the phone just said its pretty straight forward.
Got to the place an hr before time and sat in the car, i dint know i parked in a disabled parking sport and the cctv was directly on me, i was called to repack during the interview and it was a bloody test in excel that i could even answer 1.

had another one, I read in a book that you can ask the interviewer how long they worked and what motivates them, i decided to twist it and told her "i See u`ve worked here for a while, what motivates you" with her hard face she just said, am a contracting employee, i don't work here!! she asked me 3 qualities of a leader and if i got the job what are the three things i will do,, i Went blank for qualities and the 3 things i will do is say thank you for the job and meet my work mates,
EPIC FAIL, got a rejection before i got home.

Next interview was with a Scottish guy, we both had strong accent and cldnt tell what each other was saying, Fail

Finally, got 2 offers for a job starting same day, and i had one last interview, the interview was a proper babe, she was more like a model, i pulled her leg and constantly complemented her, couldnt remember any of the questions she asked.
all i knew was that i had 3 jobs in the morning,

@ poster,
i feel you, had the same problem, took me more than a yr to figure it out, this is/was how i resolved it.

started watching more british Tv (Coronation street etc) and less american shows like CSI,

Nigerians are more influenced by the american culture than british so i appreciate it might be difficult,

I Started hanging out with work colleagues but keeping my dignity (no pub crawling), they get use to the way you talk and apart from better communication they tend to know u better, also i started talking a bit slower and more body gesture.

If you try and copy a particular accent say scottish or SE london, u will struggle, be yourself and have your accent, dont fit into theirs, its just like listening to a white man trying to speak english, it cld be very annoying

alrite thanks, but I;d like to know when u are normally online so I can meet u up. Email adress is adoreonly@yahoo.com. my brother got me the Iphone and put all those apps for me. Now when I wanna install new apps or synchronize with my own account am warned about all of them being deleted. so am wondering if there's a way I can copy the apps on my iphone to my itunes and synchronize plus am bothered about cydia being deleted,
I remeber when i got this error, i lost more than a seventy apps, shocked shocked shocked shocked

two ways to solve it

1: as explained below, backup your apps and transfer them to purchased, this also works with apps not gotten from app store. so even if u loose them, u can re-synch them by transfering purchased to your iphone. (disadvantage is that you have to do this more often than never)

2: My prefered way, install AppSync for OS4.Bleep (depending on what your firmware is{4.0,4.1,4.2}) and i believe you have installous, lauch installous>>settings>>switch on itunes sync. (permanent fix for me)

Pls o! Wat 9ja network allows me use d gprs on my iphone 3g to browse? I just downloaded operamini n bolt for iphone, how do I use it? My iphone is already jail broken because I see cydia. Dont even knw how 2 use cydia. How do I know if my iphone 3g is unlocked or not? Tanx.
you know if your device is unlocked when it takes all sim,
if u have cydia then its already jailbroken.

how to use cydia or perhaps what you use cydia for:
Cydia’s repositories allow the installation of software packages, most of which are available to download at no cost. You can add these sources / repositories / repos yourself and have access to all types of packages to download and install on your iDevice (iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad)

Read more: http://www.iphonetechie.com/cydia-sources/#ixzz19EIiUNO2

Manually Adding a Source to Cydia:
1. Find the Cydia application on your iPhone’s SpringBoard.
2. Tap on the Cydia icon. This will open the Cydia application.
3. Select the Manage option on the lower menu bar.
4. Here you will see two options; Packages and Source. You will want to select the Sources option
5. This will bring you to the list of sources that are already installed on your iPhone or iPod Touch
6. To add a new source, select Edit in the upper right corner.
7. Now select Add in the upper left corner.
8. This will bring up a pop-up in which you can enter the url for the source. Do not delete the http://. Just begin typing the url after the http://. The source url needs to be typed into your iPhone/iPod Touch perfectly. Make sure if there are capitol or lower case letters in the url, that you enter them into your iPhone exactly the same. Be careful to watch for words that your iPhone might automatically capitalize that are not capitalized in the url.
9. Once the url has been entered, select Add Source.
10. Wait for the sources to update.
11. Once the sources are finished updating, select the Return to Cydia option at the bottom of the page.

12. This will bring you back to the list of sources. Select Done in the upper right corner.
13. The source has now been added to your sources list and the applications in that source have been added to Cydia.

So if Apple releases an iPhone version that's compatible with 4G networks, it suddenly becomes named iPhone 4G?

No one knows what the name of the next gen iPhone will be, but it will never be named iPhone 4G.
Never say never for Apple as long as you are not steve Jobs
What came after Iphone 2 = Iphone 2G
Iphone 3 = Iphone 3G (with the 3G technology we all are using)
Iphone 4 = huh what else could it be,
4G technology exsist (Having said that, I must let you know that an iPhone running 4G network is not a big deal because only some selective cities will have 4G on either Verizon or AT&T in early next year, which means that Apple will have to incorporate the technology which should allow the users to use the device in those areas where there is no 4G connectivity as well.

I met this Jamaican girl, and she likes me so much even though I told her I am a Nigerian. As a matter of fact, she wants to come to Nigeria.

I also met these 3 Zambians, so pretty, but they ate Nigerians cuz of bad experience with them, but I still told them I am. My friend wanted to claim South African but of what use. At the end of the day, they like us so much cause of the way we present ourselves, we are now so close like one family.

So there are good and bad people everywhere.
Spot on.
I have had similar experience, when i was seeing a Caribbean girl, some Zimbabwe and Ghanian guys schooled this girl on Nigeria and how they will marry you for your passport and some sort of shitty story, after i did my best to prove that am different-i switch on tv, lo and behold "abdul-mutalab" Nigerian terrorist, na so rlt enter voicemail
