Fejiro Oliver Wrote JOHESU: Nigerians message to you I broke the news of your impending sack to you last week, which was confirmed yesterday by the circular from the Ministry of Health. Today, you are faced between immediate comfort and lasting liberation from the shackles of professional colonialism. Today, you are faced between living without salaries as a result of the sack or to go back to work and be paid the peanuts you currently earn. Today, Nigerians have sent me as a mouthpiece to deliver this message to you. To JOHESU leaders, know this today, that the prison was made for three kind of people - real criminals, prisoners of conscience and political prisoners. You belong to the second and third categories. The prison doors will be thrown wild open for daring to disobey the government, but do not fret. They will send the SSS after you and throw you inside the underground cells, all in a bid to weaken you, but again, do not fret or be intimidated by the instruments of the state. Know this today, that it's same you who will treat the security officials that will be sent to arrest you, when they are sick. Mark their faces very well when they come. Take note of their names and if possible their lineage. When they or any of their family is sick and needs your healing hands after this whole saga, remind them of how they joined the government to nail you for fighting for your rights. Do NOT ever fall for the Senate President meeting and call off the strike. Nigeria never keeps to promises. If you call off the strike today out of fear or due to the carrot plea of Bukola Saraki, know that you will never rise again and no one will take you serious when you call out strike actions again. Never in the face of threat yield to the oppressors. Your demands are 100% just, fair and right. You cannot be a Nurse and earn a paltry sum of N150,000 while the physicians earns over N313,000 as a new corner, same money that will take the nurse nine years to earn when same Medical Doctor is already earning over half a million. Do not be moved by the fears of tomorrow for no one can replace you. The battle is not about you but saving the entire medical profession, in line with international best practices and the unborn generations. Save the future children from having to go through this road again by ignoring the government and staying in your homes, do your private practice, come up with ideas and if possible, migrate out of this country to foreign lands, where relativity in salaries is determined by your level of specialty and expertise, not by the donkey years in school. You have everything right to disobey the government of the day. They have disobeyed the court again and again, so it's not new to us. Let them employ the hands and we all watch who will give the new employees licences to practice when the ones they parade expires. You have shown courage in the face of injustice for years and if this is the breaking point, so be it. Sew your prison uniforms and write your names on gold. Nigerians will daily pay you visit in prison to show solidarity. We are with you all the way. Even if the admin staff among you want to resume, let them resume, but the clinicians and professionals among you should ignore this government, while telling your children, wards and relatives on the need to get their PVC to vote out this cluelessness. If the Pathologists claim to own the laboratory, the doors have been left open for them since, let them do the work. If the pharmacologist and radiologists claims to own the pharmacy and radiography departments, the keys are there for them to work. Oh, if the physicians claim to own the patients, the Nurses are no more there, so let them take over the jobs and demand for extra pay if they want. The field has been left open, let those who claim to own the appellation 'Dr' and master of all medical knowledge do the jobs of others. JOHESU must not bow now. You have come too far to go back to Egypt. If your FULL promotional arrears is not paid, consultancy status granted, headship of hospitals and Ministry of Health given to all, retirement age adjusted, adjustment in CONHESS (very important) and equipping of the hospitals done, do not back down on this strike. Nigerians will be fine. We will patronise private hospitals. We will come on our own to the labs for test and scan. We will go to the pharmacy to get our drugs. We will be fine, but liberate yourselves first, just like Christ said "Physician, cure thy self". Be steadfast and resolute. Freedom has never been gotten on a platter of gold. Let every member get this message from Nigerians. Happy Democracy Day Signed: Fejiro Oliver On behalf of Nigerians. #copied |
Alhaji Umahi, you troubles have just started. |
sartorius:Tune to TVC right and watch how your NMA President is being messed up on the JOhesu strike. |
sartorius:Part of the demands of JOHESU is the employment of more of their professionals. So no big deal. They'll collect the letters of appointment and continue with the strike. JOHESU replaces Johesu. When next they go on strike, they'll still employ more. The Chain reaction continues until they do the right thing. |
Effusive noise! Honour your agreement |
sartorius:Fire brigade approach. You employ JOHESU to replace JOHESU. Tommorow they'll still go on strike, then you start afresh. Lmao! Una go release memo tire. |
amaham:Why can't ASUU be compared with JOHESU. Don't we have Scientists, pharmacists and nurses who are members of both ASUU and JOHESU? Yours truly is a member of both groups. You believe these professionals mere nobodies be ready for a shock then. |
MrBigiman:This malaria 'dokita' with their lies again. Who told you Medical Scientists do IT for 2 years while in training. Your frustrations just began. Johesu went on strike you all ran away from the hospitals to your private clinics from where you propagate your empty propaganda that hospitals are working. Continue with your malaria and typhoid jobs in private clinics. ![]() |
Very enlightening piece. |
WesleyPepper:Hunger? Do you know how much private pharmacies and diagnostic laboratories owned by Johesu members make in a day? Lol. |
These Codein addicts don finally help Biafrans achieve their sit at home program. |
The naval officer no get name? Provide his name. Let start from there if you really want to deal with him. |
MrBigiman:Yes greedy physicians train quack 'nurse assistants and lab assistants' in their failing clinics to make more money. It's common knowledge. |
MrBigiman:The 'staph growth' debacle is perpetuated by the quack 'lab assistants' greedy physicians train in their failing clinics. |
I shudder at the courage of these men at times. |
Westbestside:You were defeated by Dahomey and Fulani even before you ever met an Igbo or Idoma man yet you think your defeat somehow will affect Igbo's any other tribe who never knew who you were pre-lugard, people who had different sociopolitical structure. They couldn't defeat Igala, Idoma from village to village yet you feel could to decentralized republic Igbo? What brand of gbana do you smoke over there in Osun. ![]() |
pweshboi:Fools are born everyday. Even the 'Nigerian prince' still works wonders surprisingly. |
Ok |
MrBigiman:I'm not interested in what you'll do the litanies of facts I presented. I'm only interested in protecting Nigerians from the lies you are bent on propagating. That's all. |
MrBigiman:Where is the DLSC you illiterate in white ward coat? DMLS, Mls.D, DBMS are technically same thing. Even Sweden offers the course.
|
Westbestside:Oga you are deceiving yourself. The defeat of Yoruba is not another tribes business. They are not in anyway interdependent. You and the hausas have Fulani emirates, no other tribes does, not even minorities Igedes, Tiv and Idoma could be penetrated yet you think Fulani's would have penetrated Igboland. Those are laughable lies you tell yourselves in newspaper stands in Osun. |
Even Dr Gary of UK NHS trust is a DBMS a professional doctorate of Biomedical laboratory science and a consultant Biomedical Scientist in the field of hematology. He is also a Fellow of the Royal college of pathology (remember he is a Scientist not a physician) the UK medical postgraduate college. For those who don't understand the significance. The Royal college of pathology in the Uk is a medical postgraduate college just like national postgraduate college here in Nigeria where they acquire pg diplomas to become consultant. If Dr Gary were unfortunate enough to have been born in Nigeria the physicians would have given us 100 reasons why he can not be admitted into the medical postgraduate college because he is 'just a technician who wants to be called a consultant'. Can you see their greed?
|
MrBigiman:You are too illiterate to be taken seriously, you are just a butcher in a white coat. Lemme make people take a laugh at your foolery. The attached pics are from universities where the DMLS program in several progressive countries from US, UK, pakistan, even nearby Ghana. You are permitted to go back to the stone age ALONE and practice medical butchery. ![]()

Abeg, what health profession does the anambra state commissioner belong? |
Westbestside:How is the entrance of Fulani into Igboland dependent on Yoruba's defeat. Do Yoruba share boundaries with Igboland? No! You should have asked your imaginary friend this question. The Fulani's couldn't penetrate minority Tiv and Idomaland but you expect them to enter decentralized Igbo towns and conquer? Laughable. Yorubas have Fulani emirate because they are centralized and have been killing and selling themselves even before the kiriji war. Ijebus even sold guns to every warring party including the Fulani's without principle. Lack of principle is the bane of yorubaland till today. It's a pity. |
This guy smells of tinubu's body odour. |
The Lebanese owners of cool FM, wazobia FM are really trying. |
DrObum:You are free to sarcastically call me whatever you want. No be today we don dey hear derogatory names from physicians including names like 'ordinary technicians' 'paramedics' 'labman" etc... It doesn't faze young radicals like us. We have young, vibrant, intelligent and thick-skinned medical scientists nowadays. We don't expect you to promote the field of other health professionals. Like typical Africans you have always been insecure with the developments of other health experts. During the public hearing on the bill for establishment of National postgraduate college of Medical laboratory Scientists (NAPCMLS) in the National assembly last year NMA left their 'patients' in the wards and came to Abuja with letter of protests on why the bill must not be passed into law. Thankfully Scientists made Nigerians see sense in the bill and it was passed despite your protests. So how can you now claim you are not trying to stagnate others? We are not interested in what you feel about Scientists, pharmacists, nurses etc. Just do your job and step aside from the road to progress of other experts so the patient can also benefit. |
funmisticqueen:Go take a back seat. You are bereft of intellect. |
funmisticqueen:When punctured with facts, numbskulls take a hike. |
funmisticqueen:You sound illiterate and demented, anyway in Nigeria any buffoon can be a physician as long the parent has connection and money. I know a former CMD in one of our teaching hospitals who smuggled all his academically challenged female kids into medical school. Paying lecturers to write exams for them and secretaries to fill course forms for them. The kids go late to school from home everyday even though they go with a hilux full of sirens-blaring police escorts everyday. How do you expect those kids not to be empty-skulled physicians like you when they graduate? Go ask your superiors (the ones sincere enough )to tell you who started call duties first between Scientists and physicians in 1976? |
DrObum:Stop pretending you are not bothered, they (NMA) clearly do that's why they keep antagonizing other health professionals. Like I have always maintained the title 'Doctor' is not the exclusive preserve of NMA, it did not originate from physicians. Pharmacists, Medical Scientists, physiotherapist, optometrist etc with PharmD, DMLS, DPT, O.D are called 'doctors' in saner climes and progressive countries. One of you was bragging that a CMD warned optometrists to stop referring to themselves 'doctors' in a Nigerian teaching hospital and I laughed. The only way you can stop the advancement of other health professionals is to take away their brains and shut down the internet. Which is impossible. That 'international best practices' you've always sang like an anthem when you want cheat other health professionals will now be implemented here. |
