Kennis concentrated on tuface and negelected the likes os sultan, can u imagine sultan coming to cd outlets in my area to distribute his latest album by himself, the album was well advertised by sultan himself(not kennis) with even a video released already and the due date was 7th July(07/07/07) which would have been a remarkable day but the album didnt hit shelves until he himself started to distribute his CD's, that sad.
To add to baro's claim, the kora award tuface won belonged to sasha. She won the preliminaries and was supposed to go to SA for the award but we were shocked when it was tuface who went and then u guys say kennis isnt influential. And for links to this, the preliminaries were aired on tv and everyone knew it was sasha that won, when someone asked about it on a program on rythm 93.7, it was carefully avoided, u can also get clips of that at the nearest tv station if u really want proof.

Eleshin will always bring faze down with every slightest opportunity, the interview didnt even last up to two minutes, I also watched and even recorded it until it was recently deleted.

Akon is the bad guy here no doubt and I have tried to reach faze but he's not in the country currently so someone else picks his phone. When he gets back, hopefully all these should be over but i wont take it likely with anyone that says faze lied cos he has made it without konvict and will still get to higher places without konvict

Hiphopworld were among those who publicised the deal and they quoted akon I pasted the link on the thread "faze never lied about konvict deal", and someone told me a while ago that primetime africa showed akon confirming 'faze alone' so for akon to say what he said, which shocked everyone then we need more info which is why I agree wit the faze site stuff but m not sure the site has been updated lately nd u wont blame him as he's been busy lately but I'll get in touch with him and I'll notify but the fact remained that if a deal never existed, hiphopworld wont report it in the first place by quoting akon, primetime africa wont show it and all the links supporting it cant have been sprung up by faze.

Shortly after i returned from my own "forceful" break, nairaland went on its own break. Well, its good this is now over. Faze is the best thing to happen to nigerian music, take it or leave it.

The albums were released the same time, but not with the same market force and publicity. Independent sold itself with just poster publicity unlike gras to grace that got tv, radio publicity and past album success, the psquare u refered to too are enjoying the same thing. The last album was a hit so the anxious fans will quickly grab the new album whether its's better or not. Faze didnt have that and he still won the hearts of people, that's why I'll always refer to him as the rose that grew from the concrete cos he made it with little or no publicity. Why the hell cant they be compared? Aint they pals? Their songs are even related Or does tuface have three heads?
And about the so called record deal, I think u should read the other threads cos it annoys me when people say faze lied about the deal instead of thinking logically before posting, how can he lie about a deal with an international artiste who he knows will b interviewed sooner or later and asked? I think that doesnt make sense cos no one in his right senses will tell such a lie, u r just looking for way to bring faze down on nairaland but that aint gonna happen cos most nairalanders are wiser than that.
See u suggesting faze to be compared to artistes like sound sultan and w4, for ur information, sound sultan is better than tuface but I wont touch that now. Olu maintain cannot be compared to faze, bone the hype and let's face reality.
