yinkeys: You can ask the others, I'm not so deep into this stuff. Hope you know the differences between a website designer & a developer? A web designer focuses on the look and interactivity of a web page (client-side). A web developer focuses on the functionality of a web page (server-side). I don't know if my definitions above are sufficient. |

I dont have any educational background in ICT, but I have learnt HTML, CSS, and still learning JavaScript. I believe the three languages above are what majorly constitute web design.
While learning, I came across new terms such as UI/UX design and front end design. I would like the gurus in the house to briefly school me on those terms in a layman language.
Secondly, apart from the three languages I mentioned above, what other languages do I need to learn to become a UI/UX or frontend designer?

joelsky: I wrote the test today. it was terrible. I checked naira land for tips before the exams and got none. well I'm not sad, every man for himself.
I wasn't helped here, I don't expect to be called. but for those who are about to write let me tell you one or two things. 60 questions in 30 minutes means you shouldn't even THINK OF TICKING questions you don't understand well.. the success rate is dependent on PERCENTAGE NOT NUMBER OF QUESTIONS ANSWERED. so JUST SKIP THE QUESTIONS YOU ARE UNSURE OF AND CONTINUE. MAKE SURE YOU CLICK ON SUMMARY AND SUBMIT BEFORE THE TIME. PEACE I don't think you're right about basing mark on the number of answered questions. In my case, my score percentage was based on total number of questions (60), and I'm very sure I didn't tick all the 60 questions. |

ayoshapo: I wrote mine on the 26th its 60 questions for 30 mins So thats 30 secs per question its a combination of maths, english,Current affairs and questions related to the applied Post, in my case it was water resources So the questions wer water engineering related questions and it took the largest portion of the test while current affairs was the least. The Math questions are broad but ill say they are questions you "should" be able to solve in less than a min So dont expect mind racing questions If u find urself idling on a question for more than a min, my advise skip n move on!
I hope this helps all the best! Thank you very much for the update. I would have said I wish you success in your CBT, but I presume you have seen your score already. So, I will say: may God Bless you. |

ABUkAkA: I just did mine. got 40%. But the question hard ooooo. Major questions from Aviation. few Maths and current affairs. But the English nah Latin oooo. The updates I have read in this thread is really scaring. I would like to ask some questions though: How many questions and minutes in total? How many sections does the test have? You said the English is Latin..Smiles...Is the English section definition of terms, word relation ship, antonyms, or synonyms? Or what? Thanks |

salihufather: If preparing just crime everything in dictionary and be good in mathematics. You can't predict how the questions and the time is scaring. 30mins for 60questions. Hello! In addition to the English and Mathematics, were you asked questions that directly relate to the position you applied for? Secondly, since you said we should cram the dictionary, were your English questions antonyms and synonyms? |

OrangeDream: What is the job description of PSIN please? If they are a recruiting firm then they should have past questions from previous contracts they've handled. Does anyone know of any past cbt exams they've handled? Please reply. PSIN is an acronym for Public Service Institute of Nigeria. The institute was built during Jonathan's regime, I think. The organization is charged with the responsibility of training people on different aspects of public service administration. So, in my opinion, they are not really full-time recruitment agency. |

Thank you for feeding us valuable info about t.v. recruitment. I would like to ask some questions:
1. What aspect of computer will the CBT questions likely come from?
2. I applied for AVSEC Instructor-in-Training. What can you say about the position - in terms of salary and career prospect?

ojasweb: I assume you already know who your competitor is, so the next thing would be for you to use their url as the search query. Screaming frog will lookup the backlink data and other relevant information about the URL. What information you pick for your decision depends on your analysis skills matters. Boss, thank you for your response. I agree that Screaming Frog could be used to get info about a URL, but as for getting backlinks...well, I'm still learning. Once again, thanks for taking time to respond. |

ojasweb: The only tools i use for SEO are for competitors analysis, and they are free. I use SEO Quake (chrome plugin) to know few things about my competitors, and screaming frog to learn more about their backlink information and few more details. I also use Google KP to get keywords search estimate, and do manual Google search, using some specific "Search Operators" to get exactly what i wanted. Combining all the relevant information i get, i can then continue with my proper SEO strategy.
As regards WordPress, i use Yoast plugin to configure sitemap, search console, meta description and keywords. Please, how do you use Screaming Frog to get backlink profile of a competitor? |
