I have always said that fraudsters will try and cash in on our desperation and they almost succeeded with the dietary supplement called Nano silver, well they made a fool of our health minister who is definitely not qualified as a minister... He has been saying alot of incoherent mumblings and have been a total disgrace on this Ebola issue that has exposed his incompetency...
First he told us of nano silver which has proven to be a scam... Just a dietary supplement can you imagine? Nano silver advertised with igbo oil, chocolate on a website hilarious.. Hahahahhahahhahhaaha God where are you I can't stop laughing what's all this.... A minister saying someone was cured knowing fully well the thing no get cure and you were briefed it was a false positive and you come out to make a mockery of your generation.

But serious before using such drug we should have to set up a lab and see the effect of the drugs on a lab subject (monkey or rat) I am not saying we should wait the whole episode from start to finish but watch out for improvement of blood cells when the virus is active in the subject. Better still makers of Nano silver should show us research being done with the drug, long time effect of the drug, improvement of test subject when drug was applied, this is not rocket science its something that we are entitled to know. Please we should not swallow or be injected with anything out of desperation, I know the tension is high and everyone is agitated but let's not rush into this without being sure of it... Bleep America for saying its a PESTICIDE but there is no harm in checking it out... Nano silver makers should tell us the composition of the drugs we should know, alot of people are out there trying to cash in on our desperation I can assure you guys. So let's be the Nigerians that is strong willed.

Shares of Tekmira Pharmaceuticals were up another 20% on Monday after gaining more than 45% on Friday after the FDA loosened a hold on the Ebola treatment in the company's development pipeline.

After closing on Thursday afternoon at $14.27 per share, Tekmira shares were trading north of $25 on Monday.

In Thursday evening's press release, Tekmira said, " the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) has verbally confirmed they have modified the full clinical hold placed on the TKM-Ebola Investigational New Drug Application (IND) to a partial clinical hold. This action enables the potential use of TKM-Ebola in individuals infected with Ebola virus."

Over the weekend, a report from The New York Times said that health officials in Nigeria have confirmed 10 cases and two deaths from Ebola. Nigeria is the continent's most populous country. Total deaths related to Ebola have now totaled more than 900.

The New York Times' editorial board also addressed the Ebola epidemic this weekend. The board wrote that after WHO director general Margaret Chan called this outbreak, "the largest, most severe, most complex outbreak" of the virus in its 40-year history: "And what has the world done in those 40 years to defend against the disease? Not much. Apart from inflicting a staggering human toll, the spread of the Ebola virus in West Africa has laid bare how unprepared the United States and other advanced countries are to protect and treat thousands of Africans whose lives are threatened by an extremely dangerous virus for which there is no cure."

Ran out of salt yesterday went out to get salt this morning and to my surprise people were buying salts like their life depended on it, the price of salt from 100 is now 200. On enquiry I learnt that salt cures Ebola virus in our skin and purifies our bodies...

The war between Israel and Palestine has entered Day 28 and what's happening there is sickening. Over half a million people in Gaza city have been rendered homeless with 270,000 crammed into 90 crowded UN shelters, some of which have had no running water and electricity. At least 1,700 Palestinians have been killed while 69 Israelis have been killed. Shelters full of children in Gaza have been bombed, medical supplies have run out, many hospitals damaged and medics are unable to go to work. Many UN facilities sheltering displayed Palestinians, especially women and children have been hit, killing so many little children in the city.

The conflict between Israel and Palestine has been going on for decades but this particular one started on July 17th after Gaza attacked Israel with rockets following failed peace negotiations. Israel replied with both air and ground invasion of Gaza City....and the world is just watching.
