Its sad that we have fat cows called diplomats who do nothing more than sit in the office pushing papers they have interests in, forgetting that they have other important duties to carry out. How many foreigners ( not people from Niger republic) do we have in our prisons? You think they don' t commit crime.... Arrest an american the next thing you know you will start receiving calls from the embassy because they care for their own... Nigeria is blessed with so much, so much yet we are so cursed... When will we come together to fight this social decadence, only when we stand as one people one nation can we make a headway but till them... Hmmmm... We go they use corner eye they observe...
PoliticsRe: Unknown 'Drone' Crashes In Ibadan (Pictures) by Philipmems(m): 2:16pm On Dec 29, 2013
As I said someone has lost his toy, I have a prototype of a home made quadcopter k... Runs on 9v lite weight rechargeable battery parallel combo and has a small functional solar cell attached , two if the motor as an alternator charges the batteries so i have a longer air time when testing . Just go on youtube and see what techgeeks are doing with with quads i assure you will be speechless....Oga jakumo
Jakumo: Oga Philip your grammar dey too much. The Lipo batter in that bird can only keep it in the air for less than TEN minutes, so it did NOT come from Texas or Las Vegas, but from inside Ibadan, no more than 200 meters from the crash site.
PoliticsRe: Unknown 'Drone' Crashes In Ibadan (Pictures) by Philipmems(m):
Nice post its obvious you are aware of your tech surroundings but please note that this devices can be controlled remotely using VPN like software that can be monitored over the internet using GSM internet network/GPS. Just like your modern day tracking device for vehicle that can be put off/on from any location, the vehicle will also give you a live feed of the gear its on, current speed, camera view exact location with error of 5meters, what I am saying is that this should not be taken lightly I can assure you someone has lost his toy because it doesn't have that high tech look and configurations of a spy drone but never underestimate that power of the unknown.
Jakumo: If the quad-copter shown in the picture above IS the object that crashed through the roof in Ibadan Nigeria, then it was most certainly NOT launched from Texas, but from somewhere less than ONE mile from the crash site.

That is NOT a military "drone" but a hobbyist quad-copter with very limited range, that is available to anyone with $350 to spend, from numerous internet websites. Somewhere in Ibadan there is a hobbyist who has lost his aerial photography toy, and that is all there is to this story.

US drones that are designated for long-range operations are ALL fixed-wing airplanes, and NOT helicopter derivatives like the Walkera Model QRX350 shown in the above picture, which, by the way, looks suspiciously un-damaged, in the aftermath of a purported crash.

PoliticsSenior Police Office handling Woman's Breast In Photo FAKE-POLICE by Philipmems(op): 11:41am On Nov 01, 2013
The Nigeria Police has described the photograph, which showed a senior police officer in the act of handling the breast of an unknown lady, as fake. It said the picture, which went viral on the Internet, was deliberately fabricated with the aid of Adobe Photoshop technology to mislead the public.

The alleged amorous scene, the police authorities claimed, did not take place and the officer had nothing to do with the woman.

The police said it arrived at this conclusion after interrogating the policeman, who was seen in the type of uniform worn by officers of the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police.

On the official Facebook page of the police, the affected police officer was quoted as saying, "I don't know this lady. I never took the picture with her."

However, the authorities did not name the police officer nor give the details of the command where he is serving.

The police said that though it does not forbid its rank and file to pose with members of the public for photographs, it would not tolerate any display of affection for the opposite sex in full public glare.

"An image showing one of our officers in a compromising position with a lady has gone viral. Please check the hands in the so-called picture that is in circulation and you will agree that they were photo-shopped.

"Other citizens of this country are encouraged to pose for snapshots with our uniformed officers if they so desire, just as it is done worldwide. What we discourage is public display of affection by our uniformed officers," it said.

After it appeared online, the controversial photograph provoked widespread condemnation from many Nigerians who have described the development as an act of indiscipline.

Claiming to be policemen, some people wrote on the police Facebook page that the phot0graph was the handiwork of mischief makers, who were clearly determined to drag the name of the security agency in mud.

They said that no uniformed officer of the rank of ACP would be so careless as to pose for a photograph in such a compromising position with a lady.

One Oluwasegun Samuel-Alalade commented on the wall of the Facebook page. "I know it is not real. Even a fresh recruit undergoing training at the Police College will not do such a thing, not to mention a top ranking officer. The Nigeria Police Force should kindly disregard the photograph, " he wrote.

Also Kabiesy Ojeabulu wrote, "Photoshop or no Photoshop, all I have to say is that the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, should always investigate issues before taking actions. It appears that a large section of the general public does not like the police. So they fabricate anything to tarnish our image. God help us all."

Another policeman, Adegbola Olafiyin, stated, "I don't know the offence we committed to deserve this from the public. Imagine here in the state where I am serving, commercial motorcycle riders will not give you a ride despite the fact that you have your money. This whole thing amounts to blackmail."

But some Nigerians have disagreed with the police authorities on the status of the controversial photograph. They insist that it appears more real than fabricated.

On cknnigeria.com, one Lanre Bewaji wrote: "There are many angles to this picture. It is obvious the lady took the picture and the officer consented to it. No matter how awkward the scenario looks, if the lady was his wife or fiancée, would there be an issue? Until we know the real circumstances behind this picture, the matter is neither here nor there!"

In a tweet to the police, Hyke Ekeanyanwu expressed doubt that the photograph was faked. He said, "I may agree that the hand holding the breast was photo-shopped, but I will not agree that the hand around his (police officer's) neck does not belong to the lady."

Wale Bolanle, also on Facebook, queried,"What do you want us to believe? What else do you want him to say? He must surely deny. Is he not a human being?"

Meanwhile, the police authorities may have drawn the battle line with commercial banks in the country over the non-payment of the salaries of policemen.

The Force Headquarters wrote on its Facebook and Twitter handle on Wednesday that then Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, was "angry" with the banks over the matter.

"IGP MD Abubakar, is angry with bankers over delay in payment of Police salaries," the message read.

Lamenting the situation, one Samuel Dogo, wrote, "The police authorities have allowed the commercial banks to deal with us the way they want because there is no proper monitoring. Nobody wants to know whether we have families and other dependants that are looking up to us for their upkeep.

"The police has the highest rates of deaths and causalities among security agencies in the country. In spite of our tireless efforts to protect the lives and properties of Nigerians, we are not appreciated. We earn the least salaries. Yet, we struggle so hard to ensure that this money is paid at the right time. If I may ask, is it a curse to be a policeman? I don't understand. Can someone help me with a reasonable explanation?"

CrimeJealous Ex-girlfriend Sets Rival Ablaze In Enugu (picture) by Philipmems(op): 8:32am On Sep 30, 2013
According to a report by Sunnewsonline.com, a 20 year old girl allegedly set ablaze the 22 year old new love interest of her ex-boyfriend. Cynthia Onah reportedly went to her ex-boyfriend's house at Onugba Nike area in Enugu State late at night with a gallon of fuel and emptied its content on Chinwe Igwe, her ex's girlfriend, who was sleeping. The incident took place on August 24th.

The Commissioner of Police Enugu State, Mr. Mohammed Adamu described the incident as very unfortunate. “It is terrible that a girl because of jealousy would set another girl on fire simply because they are befriending the same boy.”
CP Adamu explained that on that fateful day, Cynthia had in connivance with another suspect, one Obiora Chukwuegbo stormed Chika’s home and set Chinwe on fire. It was only the assistance of neighbours that Chinwe was rescued through the window as the fire consumed the room. She was said to have been taken to a private hospital before she was transferred to Annunciation Specialist Hospital Emene, Enugu State where she is still receiving treatment.
The boyfriend, Chika told Sunday Sun

“I am a driver and I’ve been dating Chinwe for the past five years. We had little quarrel and we stopped dating. I meet Cynthia who is a prostitute and dated her for just one month. We separated one month after because at times she would be chasing me with a knife. I couldn’t bear it and so I went back to settle with my former girlfriend. Cynthia didn’t give up as she threatened that she was going to deal with us. She even threatened to pour acid on me.

Being a driver, I travelled the day Cynthia burnt my girlfriend. It was one of my neighbours that called me to say that my house was on fire and that somebody poured fuel under the door and it exploded and burnt my girlfriend who was sleeping in the room; that they have rescued her through the window.

“When I got home, I saw that all my property had been burnt to ashes. My girlfriend was hospitalized because she sustained injuries from the fire. But I am determined and I have promised God that with the condition of my girlfriend that I am still going to marry her.”
The suspect, Cynthia, who hails from Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State, said

“I started dating Chika when he had misunderstanding with his former girlfriend, Chinwe. We dated for one month and then he told me that he was no longer interested in marrying me. Chika is owing me N12,000. When we had a quarrel, I did not threaten him with a knife. I only used the knife to deflate his tyres.

“I have quarreled with Chinwe several times. I sent her a text message to leave my boyfriend. Because she threatened me, I also threatened her that she will never enjoy the relationship. I don’t know anything about who took fuel to the house of her boyfriend and burnt the house. On that fateful day, Chika called my phone at night and said that I should meet him at Emene junction. I was out waiting for him when the policemen from the State CID arrested me. I didn’t know anything about the incident. I only know we have traded words.”
When Sunday Sun visited the victim at the Annunciation Specialist Hospital Emene Area, Enugu State, she said:

“I am still shocked at what happened. I regret dating Chika as I have been turned to something else now. I saw Cynthia Onah and Chukwuegbo Obiora after they had poured fuel under the door and fire was everywhere. I was calling him for help. It was when I was calling for help through the other window that I saw Cynthia Onah and Obiora Chkwuegbo running away and I was shouting for help until the neighbours broke one of the windows and carried me out from the window”, she said.

“My relationship with Chika is over. I am in pains and agony. I didn’t know what to do. I was sleeping and suddenly I saw smoke and it exploded and caught fire. I could have been burnt to ashes if not for the neighbours who broke through the window and rescued me,” she added.
CP Adamu said the suspects would soon be charged to court.

if you ask me who did it na who i go come ask?
