Madibah: You're wrong bro The family that understands each other is the victorious family Being prayerfull is actually different from your behavior We've seen people who don't pray and they are very cultured And we've seen prayerfull people who behaves terrible
Understanding matters in a relationship
Chinese ain't prayerfull and I can say most of them doesn't know God They are mostly Buddhist and their country is more peaceful Their marital relationship tend to last longer
Understanding is the key Prayer is optional I don't really know a lot. Pls accept my humble submission ... While understanding is important, you cannot neglect the place of prayer. That is why it is important to have a balanced live. We think prayer is not effective because we are living contrary to God's expectations. Most of us claiming religiosity are half-baked and hypocrites. That is the effect of what we see in our nation and it starts from the family. If a family's altar is TRUE ,it cannot be ridiculed, prayer is effective and understanding is evident. Faith without works is dead-so says the scripture. We need to find the balance. #Blessings |

Yureyes: Good afternoon house, I am in a dilemma. I am currently applying for a masters program at the University of Montreal. I have done all the necessary things I have to do but my reference letter is holding me back. My referee is to send the letter to them by post. They have typed the letter but they are saying they haven't sent it because they haven't stamped it. The departmental stamp is in the possession of the department secretary and now that NASU is on strike, they can't get access to the stamp. Please I would love to ask if it is compulsory to stamp a reference letter after the referee's signature. Will the signature alone not be enough? Admission application closes in a fortnight and it could take 10 days or more to send my letter to the school by post. I want to know if I should persuade my referee to just sign the letter, seal it and send it to the school. I suggest you tell him/her to sign no need of stamp. Then your referee should seal the envelope and sign across the seal of the envelope |

jnyuwa02: Sorry for the delay. No CIC does not see scholarship as a curse. What made you think so? Yes evidence would seem to suggest lately that scholarship offer from a Canadian university does not make an application for TRV immune from a VO's vagaries of financial scrutiny. Lately they seem to be wanting scholarship candidates to show that should their scholarship conditions be defaulted, they have enough money to fund themselves. How else can one make of fully funded applicant receiving denial for TRV based on insufficient funds?
That said, it does not carry from what you stated that they had anything against your scholarship. The issue they had against you is one of home ties. You didn't demonstrate that you had strong financial, professional or social ties that will induce your return back to Nigeria. You need to work on showing that. It seems you also did a bad job showing in your SOP that you have the genuine interest of been a student. Perhaps your SOP was marred with grammatical and spelling errors? Either that or there was no progression in your area of past study or work with what you intend to study in Canada. I can tell you this, you definitely did something wrong to have incurred the "purpose of visit" finding against you. With immediate alacrity, you need to order GCMS.
No this is bad advice. Don't pay two years tuition and living expenses. Who does that? It is purely misleading. It won't help in your case cos your reason of denial was not financial inability to pay your education. If you had that kind of money to pay, I will advice you put it to your name in Nijia to buttress and meet the reason checked against you, which is lack of asset and job and strong financial heft at home.
In showing home ties, the formulae is not one easily set in stone. There is no amount of time you must have spent at your job to demonstrate home ties. Many people with no job at all have been granted a TRV. Reminds me of a partially funded applicant here not too long ago who had no job or anything else for that matter, but was granted a TRV. His sponsor, his dad was very wealthy with 56M in SOA and few landed properties. That sailed through for him as home ties.
It's a totality look of your personal circumstances. Landed properties, family, social, economic and professional ties to your home all help. What you have to say in your SOP is very important as this in itself can give the VO an important clue into your mindset and deduce whether you meet the home tie requirement or not. Thanks for the response,i was observing from the background. How does one document a property for a VO.My dad has a few houses and land. Thanks |

You were right their fx issues, I can't even use their Mastercard to pay for the visa fee 3200NOK. No problems though will keep the house updated. Hi @Arigold,i had admission at UiT,Gtbank and Standard chartered are also good options. They will deduct naira equivalent |

Bandeco: Yes.
Cc: kulex is in Tromsø but he seldom come to the forum these days. Its understable because studying in Norway can be demanding, more so if you are working at the same time.
I think Olujastro in stavanger may be capable of bringing his attention to your query. I suppose Thanks @Bandeco |
