Chai! I've really missed the slugfests and keyboard wars. MTN's been misbehaving in Ogun state, my posts keep getting off thread.
Oga Sauron, our present form is worrisome, the suspensions just won't stop coming. *sigh*. What are your hopes for Utd by May '09? Liverfool seem so daunting all of a sudden,

I really cannot recall the last time we lost twice on the trot in the league, not to even talk of such a plethora of red paper. The only bright spot i can think of is liverFool losing to Villa and we dodge the debacle this abysmal run can cause. I worry, I know i shouldn't cos i know we'll never choke. SAF would quit first, eight finals to go. What a week, sigh
Sisi dayo, lay off Rio. He's not captain of the team because of his good looks. He must have been doing something right.

By virtue of the LiverFOOL/Chelski draw, i believe neither of them'll get to the final. Man utd got a good draw but by no means an easy draw. Nothing is written in stone.
Gunners now have a very big of getting through too. Villareal is good, they should edge this tie.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Forever Reds by Phony200(m): 10:04am On Mar 20, 2009
Mancs are fine o. Nothing do us at all. Man utd being paired with Barca was the buzz initially, now it's liverpool. Does that make them the real threats or us? Draws will be done. Politics or not, we can only get one team, and believe me when i say we'll take any team on.
SportsRe: Fulham (2) Vs Manchester United ( 0)On Saturday 21st March by Phony200(m): 10:19pm On Mar 19, 2009
Cristalz:
Fulham host Manchester United this Saturday at Craven Cottage, 15.00 GMT.

Fulham seem to have improved in form after defeating Bolton in their last Prem game, their first away victory this season. Better days in sight? Against United though, one can't say for sure.
But definitely it will be a no holds barred attack, especially after United got humbled by Liverpool last Saturday. Of course Fulham are nowhere near Liverpool's strength, but it never hurts to dream.

Manchester United are still atop the table with a game in hand, but I think it's safe to say their position can be called precarious now. After the humbling 4 - 1 loss to Liverpool, gaps have been well narrowed with the other teams inching closer.
A loss or draw on Saturday will put Chelsea and Liverpool within touching distance (if they win their games), and I'm sure Sir Alex doesn't want that. So this game will be one where he's going to go all out for a win.
Fulham have not won at home in like 3 matches and I believe that run will continue. Our league position is the last thing you'd call precarious, methinks. Saturday will come and everyone is anxiously waiting to see that famous response to defeat. We're strong enough to stay focused and not choke under pressure.

@Cristalz, My ad thread was locked. Does that mean i should continue posting it on the Man Utd thread, i don't want to come across as a spammer which was why I created the post. What's your best option?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Forever Reds by Phony200(m): 9:09pm On Mar 16, 2009
Can't wait till the Fulham game comes up. The response we get from that game will give an indication of the direction we're headed. Wait till them, i believe this is not the start of a bad patch, it's a speed bump. Bring on the FA cup, bring up the rest of the league. See you in may, then we'll do the talking.

Emperoh,
Very true. We devils can let it slide but the bad mouth gaynners and chelski fans won't let it slide. You shoulda been here yesterday, there were only two devils here while everyone else was spitting bile. I can't wait till I see how we respond. That'll definitely shut people up.

Vida has been even more consistent than CR7 this season. He's due a bad performance, it's out of the way. Definitely, he'll get better. No diggity.

Don't let any jobless gunner take away the significance of this win. It's not a win for arse-anal. The relegation mire is just as bad as the Trophy tussle up north of the EPL table. At least, you can now sleep with 1 and two-fifth of eyes closed.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Forever Reds by Phony200(m): 7:31pm On Mar 15, 2009
No matter how much one wants to pick the bones, truth is we had an off day and uncharacteristically could not build on a lead. Blame Rio, everybody, fact is the team lost. The way to go is forward, simple.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Forever Reds by Phony200(m): 5:37pm On Mar 15, 2009
The adjectives have been plenty and variable. Every team in the EPL can beat any of the other 19. That we lost to 'Fool doesn't mean the end of the road, 10 games after today, if we're not on top of the EPL, yesterday'll be taken as the turning point. But before then, mouths'll just keep running. Que sera sera.

What's with all the slumrats feeding on the scraps of yesterday. I'm so pleased that a first league defeat this year is causing such a buzz! Why don't we declare yesterday a national holiday? Y'all waited so long for that, didn't ya? Okay now, smell it, watch it, tape it, watch it again, relive it, by the time you're ready to forget about it and MOVE ON, the only thing you'll be hearing is the roar of the Victory Parade when we display all the trophies this season for y'all haters.

Cristie,
#1 has my post been locked? Not sure but i think i asked you if i could post the adverts on the thread instead.
#2 we're not starting a thread with a big loss. We're starting a new thread to herald the last ten games of the season and also look forward to watching history made this season.
@Dk
We lost, no diggity. I'm surprised that Vida's your best mate in Man utd. I really also wished it was someone else. Whatever, it comes and would make him even meaner in the future.

Sauron,
I'll assume you were asking a question and making a constructive comment. I'l respond accordingly. You've seen my posts enough to know i'm not spamming. Even before the mag was released and after, I've been contributing to this thread. I'm not placing the ad in the Auto section or Tech market, other areas where I frequent because I believe this is where I should be. If you think I'm spamming or disturbing you, I apologise but even Cristalz the mod went to my independent post and referred me here. Maybe I'm overreacting to an innocent comment, maybe I'm enlightening you on what is between me and the mag. Either way, i'm sure you've gained something.

We didn't bottle when we had a 2pt lead. Fergie will not allow us bottle a 4+3 lead this season. Man utd fans, chin up! Put on your best suits and smile while you get battered. It's only mouth and bad belle. First loss in OT and it suddenly becomes a playground. I pity una. I pity una, well well.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: Forever Reds by Phony200(m): 4:30pm On Mar 14, 2009
Everyone (with common sense, that is, doyin, you're excused) knows that Vida's performance today should be excused. He had an off day. If you remember his debut for united, you'd all remember the criticism and talk that he couldn't cut it in the EPL. He's done more than justify being in the Best XI every week.
See, after all the talk of quintuples and quintuplets, we all know we needed to be brought down to earth. Form will never win titles. Winning games bring titles. We lost today, big deal. We lost to 'Pool, bigger deal. Even with the lost 6pts to 'Fool, we still are 4pts ahead . We'll never choke, we're not going to start today. They want a bleeping fight for the EPL, BRING IT ON!!!
The only thing liverfool won today is bragging rights, no titles. Let them beat stoke and see me at the end of the season.
