He's right though
The giver has done what many people can't do and it's very commendable

However if you are a believer of the holy book, in Matthew 6:3, it says when you give to the needy, your right hand should not know what the left hand did

Coming on nairaland to tell us you have given alms is doing just what the holy book said you shouldn't do

The giver has done very well but next time leave your camera at home when giving to the needy, we don't need to know it
I knew someone's going to quote that bible verse but i still beg to disagree. Nairalanders doesn't know the widow in question. The OP is excited, the happiness in the windows eyes is what prompted the OP to come here to preach to others about giving so that we too can have a giving heart.

What if the receiver chooses to announce to the world...did the holy book talked anything about that?

I do not agree with you. Nigerians by our nature are not individualistic. The brotherhood thing exists. We support each other and folks will always find help. So many people support widows in their community. Do you see them on Nairaland sharing such. So no big deal I won't have done it this way.

“l just sent my dad some money for the weekend”... Do you know that a statement like this could wake the subconscious mind of a listener to the point of him/her to send money to their dad too.

We cannot assume that a folk will always find help because while you are assuming that a folk will get help I might also be assuming same and that will actually leave the folk with no help at all.

Yo fish, am right there, it just like giving out a cloth and telling people you did when he/she has the cloth on.
Nope! it doesn't sound the same.
Do you know the widow in person?
Posting stuffs like that only strengthens others to act the same. If we all do good things in secrecy how would others emulate?

You're ignorant if you think this has not been in the news. It was planned, organised, disseminated and announced. The meeting has been in circulation since beginning of this week. Even with all of that, the people in your picture are not more than 1000. I'm not sure you teenagers have witness a presidential election before. My local government meeting is thrice as this.
A rented crowd is different from an organic crowd. Even if Peter Obi should come to my hood I might not attend his rally but I will still vote him.

The boy and the nanny will eventually set you up so I will advice you help him...

Meet with the father confidentially(dont relate with the mother cos they always have a way of protecting their children), tell the father everything you've heard and seen and beg him not to react immediately.
Since he's rich then tell him to install a secret camera so as to be able to see things by himself.

Why should I abandon my hustle just to go stand among the crowd so as to make up large crowd just to prove to people that we are legion?

I will vote for OBI and that doesn't mean I will have to go to his campaign. I am a preacher of Obi in my location, at work and to anyone who cares to listen yet I wont attend any rally or campaign.
If the number of campaign attendees are now the determinant to winning at the poll then good luck to parties with millions of attendees but for me and my house hold we would speak with our voters card.

You didn't read nor understand my post or else you will understand that you can't be a nationalist and at the sane time one Nigerian

Igbos are leading the charge against ethnic nationalism because ethnic nationalism is a direct threat to a multicultural quasi Marxist parasitic one Nigeria which the Igbo is dependent on.

Get ready for a return to republican nationalism or end of Nigeria.

Its that simple. We can not be feeding you dead weights at the same time suffer the indignity of you wanting to lord over us
I dont seem to understand your analogy but if it all mean that igbos are wanting to lord over Nigeria then I'll definitely kick against that.
I've got reasons for kicking against this assertion but I still need to be certain that I actually got you right.

When you have over inflows of Nigerians there's definitely going to be what I call ”THE NIGERIAN FACTOR”.

Recently we've had Nigerians moving into the UK and things like bribery and corruption would definitely be in the increase and now we are about to have STRIKE one of Nigeria hallmark been exported to the UK.

Dont quote me please as I woke up with malaria this morning.

Obasanjo did not promote his Yoruba people above others and his govt still remains , like that of Yaradua and GEJ, an inclusive one.

You should also understand that Obasanjo being a retired General and former HOS, will see central authority as ideal. And do not forget that Obasanjo never aligned with Yoruba politics of nationalism . Obasanjo was never a political officer and his emergence as HOS was purely a military affair without the backing of the Yoruba.

So Obasanjo should be seen as a military hegemonic ruler.

He as a soldier was trained to see Nigeria above every national.
So you'll prefer someone that will rather see his tribe as a politics of nationalism just the way Buhari prefers his own kinsmen to every other nationals.

I would rather prefer Obasanjo system of governance to the one Tinumbu is likely to demonstrate. If Nigeria is claimed to be one then every sections should be elevated evenly and not playing politics of bitterness just because you feel a section did not vote for you.

Obasanjo a yoruba president yet you didn't bother to mention grammars then. An igbo man is not even there yet but your grammar has become so eloquent.

I was having random throughout yesterday night on my bed when I was about sleeping. Its no news that the obidient campaign have been heavily centered around hate, be it religious, tribal or assassination of personalities of individuals.
Have it ever cross their mind that what if, just what if obi didn't win the election. So i beg the question what next?
The same thing that happened after the 2015 election would still happen.
If Obi did not win then the southeast will continue to be marginalized and this time around they will be subjected to about 2%(shebi Buhari still have them 5%, I'm sure Tilumbu will be ready to subject the southeast to zero percent).

Agitations, kidnapping and killings will increase in all fronts thereby bringing to the end of the entity called Nigeria.
