Romance › Re: Are Single Matured Guys Irresponsible? by phorget(m): 9:24am On Aug 14, 2020
gbami:
When you are single, matured, working especially in high earned jobs..You hear people tagging you irresponsible because you're not yet married despite doing well for yourself..
But does it mean Married men are irresponsible, because they are married? Not at all..I feel the most irresponsible gropus are married men...They cheat at any given time...I see them, they discuss it, especially after 2yrs of marriage..they start cheating as if there is no tomorrow, even the so called decent ones..they do it codedly..
A lot of men cheat...We may not know because they are related to us and will pretend when we are around, but they do cheat
Truth be told... Whenever I feel irresponsible for not being married, and a married man start discussing how many women he has slept with or intend to sleep with after marriage..I feel responsible, because I don't cheat, don't smoke, drink or club..
What is it that makes married men cheat after marriage?
I hope I don't cheat when I get married and I don't find a reason to cheat too.
So why haven't you been married even after possessing all these angelic qualities? undecided

Politics › Re: "Edo Is Not Lagos": Obaseki's Bill Of Insult On Tinubu - By Ini Akpan Morgan by phorget(m): 1:03pm On Aug 10, 2020
IniAkpanMorgan:
"Edo Is Not Lagos": Godwin Obaseki's Ingratituous Bill Of Insult On Tinubu

It is a worthwhile venture when one chooses to stand far away from ingratituous people. They are like the "Bermuda Triangle", always "swallowing" and not getting filled up. And unless they continue to take from you, you have not done anything for them. One thing is sure though, an ingratituous person is an armed "emotional robber".

When a matter is like that, no time should be wasted to attempt to waste time and resources to assist such people. This is why the bill posted as "Edo is not Lagos” is an ingratituous insult on AsiwajuBola Ahmed Tinubu.

Let us recall that the Asiwaju held and lifted former Governor Olusegun Mimiko up to become Governor of Ondo State, to help him grow his South West outreach, but at then end of that effort, Governor Mimko floundered and left Asiwaju Tinubu in the cold. He was ungrateful.

At the end of that political trip the Asiwaju helped Olusegun Mimiko embark on, and when it mattered most to the Asiwaju, the former governor chose to work with erstwhile President Goodluck Jonathan than with the Asiwaju. As clearly as pictured, investing his resources in Olusegun Mimiko was a big loss to the Asiwaju - Mimiko should not have been helped to be governor. It is now about the ingratitude of Governor Obaseki.

However, in the above review, of that relationship between the Asiwaju and Mimiko, it is very clear, how, at no point did Mimiko insult the Asiwaju in his show of ingratitude. The same thing cannot be said about Governor Godwin Obaseki, who has taken his own ingratitude to a new level.

Governor Obaseki, who is a secondary beneficiary of the political magnanimity of the Asiwaju, having inherited a political dynasty put in place by the Asiwaju.

"Edo is not Lagos" is a geographical fact when the cadastrals mapping of the 2 cities are considered, but referring it to the politics of Edo State and the incumbent governorship, Edo State and especially Governor Godwin Obaseki has the Asiwaju to be grateful to, for what Governor Obaseki enjoys today as the governor of the State.

Edo may not be Lagos, but the governorship and the incumbent political status quo Godwin Obaseki is currently enjoying was strategically planned in Lagos, sponsored from Lagos and it took the shape and the image of what Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu delivered. So politically, Edo, undeniably, smells like Lagos.

Now, what did the Asiwaju do wrong and where did he incur Governor Obaseki's displeasure?

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a seasoned democrat, is the only Nigerian politician who committed every needed resources to sustain, deepen and grow our democracy: he sustained a vibrant and a dreadful opposition polity until it was victory for the opposition parties. Governor Obaseki should not have expected such a democrat to support his attempt to muzzle 14 members of a 26 members Edo House of Assembly.

The Asiwaju's offence was in telling Godwin Obaseki that he was wrong to insist on a "minority rule" in the Edo State House of Assembly. What was it that promoted Governor Obaseki's fears that Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State did not encounter? Governor Obaseki had a House of Assembly populated by his party men, while Governor Uzodinma inherited an already operative Imo State House of Assembly dominated by the opposition.

The question is: how is Governor Uzodinma successfully managing a House populated by enemy legislators when his colleague, Governor Obaseki cannot manage his 26 members House filled with his party men? It shows that Governor Obaseki is unlearn in the arts of governance. Compare him with his Imo State counterpart, the difference in their experiences is very clear.

So, like Governor Olusegun Mimiko, Governor Godwin Obaseki enjoyed the continuity of the Asiwaju political magnanimity and was ungrateful, but unlike Governor Mimiko who left out adding insults to his ingratitude, Governor Obaseki took his to a childish climax by adding insults to his ingratitude against the Asiwaju.

Unfortunately, Governor Obaseki was blind to who the Asiwaju is: a politician who has "the right to be insulted", a politician who has grown politically through the "insults" he has suffered, and the one who is who he has become through insults from those he "out runs". So Governor Obaseki's inglorious show of ingratitude and his insults can only raise the Asiwaju's political pedestal than diminish it.

But as for him returning to Government House, Benin City, he has lost the opportunity for taking a hard earn political victory for the Edo people back to their mark of political slavery. Indeed it is not proper to "give the children's bread to dogs". And Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is right to suggest the removal of Governor Obaseki and come 19 Sepywmber 2020, he will prove it indeed that, politically, "Edo is Lagos".

MrOjay1:
Last friday evening, my friend in the hood called me on phone to inform me of a job opening in an ongoing construction site somewhere around Agbara (Lagos).

He told me the pay is 2,300 per day depending on if you were able to finish the day's job.

I told him i was interested (no choice for a broke man) and asked him when we are to leave for the place. He said we'll leave for Agbara the next day early in the morning to get there on time and start with others.

'No wahala', I said.

We set off the next morning and got there before 7 or thereabouts. When the supervisor saw me said, 'oboy as you dey lenge lenge (slim) like this, you sure say you go fit do this kind work so??'

I told him i could. Shey no be my mates dey do am?

I started the work which was carrying mixed concrete and sand up into the second floor of the building.

The work no easy o. I wan die true to God but i just chinned up and continued. I worked like this till afternoon.

My body was telling me to stop but i continued being that i wanted my full pay for the day then something happened.

As i was climbing up the scaffolded stairs, my limbs had become weak and my eyes dazed, i had no energy left again to climb up to the second floor so while trying to muster up energy as i climbed, I mis-stepped my footings and was about falling off the stairs down to the ground laden with bamboo, nails, stones and co far below but was saved by the hand of another worker coming up the stairs behind me. He had already noticed my fatigue and signs of faint feeling.

My headpan had already crashed down the ground.

I wonder what would have happened to me. Probably would have died.

The supervisor heard of it and was furious, lambasting me saying,' shebi i tell you say you no fit do this work? Na so you for put me for trouble.Oya dey go house now now, he said as he put his hands in his pocket and brought out 1400 as my payment.

I protested and demanded my full payment but he wasn't listening and was threatening to call the police.

I left the place, went home and used half the money to treat the sprain and pains i was feeling all over my body.
Hmmmmm!
Even after working your heart out in other to earn just #2300 only, some girls will still call to demand an urgent 2k from you.
May God continue to bless all hustlers out there and may those ladies that won't needing urgent 2k continue to receive more sense so that they'll realize that money ain't easy to come by.

Good evening,

I'm thinking of putting a 3 bedroom on my one plot of land so I need an advise, tho this is not my first house, I already had a standard 3 bedroom bungalow all room ensuit but excluding fencing and surrounding flooring (the previous building was couple years ago so things might have change a bit) so I'm thinking of adding another building on another land which I just acquire.

pls I'm here to seek price ranges on how much a bricklayer should charge normally to build a standard 3 bedroom bungalow including the surrounding flooring, fencing and little drainage.

Location of the land is in Western part of the country
Send in your floor plan please.

Good write up. Meanwhile this election would send a strong message to Tinubu in fact it will checkmate his political dominance in the southwest.

Apart from Rotimi allow his wife to destroy his government by handing over the state affairs to her.Akeredolu is not a good administrator.

Mimiko first tenure he performed wonderfully and his achievements was spread across the three senatorial district. That's why he beat his opponent in second term with wide margin Because of his good record.

Akeredolu wife appointed herself a dean faculty and not Because she is working in the university she made herself dean faculty when her husband became governor and the school introduced new faculty. She didn't stop there she sermon an emergency meeting btw the school Authority the outcome of the meeting led to increasement of school fee.

Akeredolu wife , Went to different ministries in the state and she sack many yoruba workers replaced them with her brothers and sisters from imo or Enugu.

Same Akeredolu wife led her people to Dimeji Akure demanding for igbo king in Akure.Thank God they met their Waterloo.

Eyitayo jegede is the most qualified person among them. Even before he was involved in politics he has been helping people in the state.i believe we give our mandate to him he will perform wonderfully. Eyitayo jegede is very humble and calm his door is open to Everyone.

Although I hate his party affiliation but we are not voting party we are voting personality. Things must change in ondo.

And for the moderator that keeps deleting people topics shame on you There's no rational explanation in your damn opinion.

Ondo people be wise let us take our glory from the hand of the stranger dictating for us in our own land. This is our last chance.
Do you really have any proof as regards these assertions? Were you there when all those sacking was going on or are they just hearsays?
