Can same MRV fee used to schedule Lagos appointment be used to reschedule to Abuja?

I stay in Lagos and definitely Lagos is better for me.
At the moment, I haven't picked any date. I have a support letter from my research team in US.
So I am thinking if I can pick a lagos date and see the reply I get before considering Abuja.
I don't have much money to even pay MRV twice.

Please advise.

This is not how the embassies work. The timing of your interview and the VO you meet and other factors determine how well you will do. The same Black guy that approved NoTimeZone today refused almost everyone he interviewed--at least 3 people I know from this thread.
What I am saying is that it doesn't matter which embassy you go. But of course, Abuja rarely sees the crowd as you'd find in Lagos, but they refuse visas there too. In fact, sometimes, we see more approval in Lagos than Abuja.
The key is to do your thing and pray to meet a nice VO. Where you are interviewed doesn't matter.

Let's wait and hear from your school. Whatever the agreement is, ensure you have an evidence to present to the Consular, just incase they don't adhere to their promise (at the bolded part). Maybe your school can also extend it for you.
If you chose to defer, still depends on your school and it's rules

But I suffered ooo......lol.....I paid for MRV thrice. Yes three times. I was denied emergency in Lagos twice, then the third MRV I decide to do Abuja then I got approved. That is the story of my life....lol.

You can put your old DS-160 form number on the page, it will ask you if you want to retrieve it, say yes.

Then you'd have a new one which would be filled partially, so you can go through it and answer the parts not filled out.

Or you can just start another form entirely, same way you started the old one.

Then you can get your new form number and update on your visa page
