Its 2:50am here but I still can't sleep. I can't take my eyes off him. I watch as he sleeps peacefully.
I thank Jehovah God for this special gift and I pray for a successful delivery for all remaining Nov mamas.
To all ttc mamas, there is no impossibility with God, He makes things beautiful at His own time. We shall rejoice with you soon.
Here is Fiyinfunjah

Good morning mamas, with a heart full of joy I announce the birth of my baby boy Fiyinfunjah (Give praise to Jehovah). I delivered around 8:30pm yesterday via cs.

Birth Story
My due date was on the 16th and nothing happened, at my doctor's appointment the next day, the Dr said if by 41 weeks baby doesn't come then I will be induced. I was referred for a non stress scan and also to check the amnotic fluid of the baby. So yesterday I went for the scan, the non stress scan was good as baby's heart beat was normal but the fluid was low. Meanwhile for the past two weeks I noticed that after peeing in the process of wiping another set of pee usually comes out, I didn't know I was leaking water little by little. So yesterday the scan showed that I had little water left. The Dr told me to go to labor and delivery immediately that the baby must be delivered now.
Everything happened so fast, I was confused and scared. My cervix was checked and it was still close. A foley balloon was inserted to help me dilate to at least 4cm before they start pitocin. Baby's heart beat was also being monitored.
After about 2hrs I was having strong contractions but with each contraction my baby's heart beat dropped. I was then given oxygen but it didn't help.
30 minutes after, baby's heart beat was still dropping the Dr said my baby can't handle induction so they have to bring him out immediately.
I was prepared for cs, epidural was administered and 30 minutes after I heard my baby crying. I started crying too saying "that's my baby ".
He was cleaned and brought to me while they stitched me up. He came out weighing 3.5kg.

Good evening to all the mamas in the house, congratulations again to all Nov mamas that has put to bed and to the remaining team November, we are almost there. May Jehovah God continue to give us the needed strength to carry on and I wish all a safe and successful deliveries, we shall all carry our babies in our arms.
So my sister here organized a surprise baby shower for me on Sunday, I was so surprised I started crying. The show of love was overwhelming and we got beautiful gifts too.

Hello, you sent me a pm pls ask your question here I am not a pm person. About BWI, I used that airport in March its not a busy airport, they have all the time to ask you so many questions. So I advise you to be fully prepared and harmed with your burden of proof cos secondary inspection is almost certain. That was one of the reasons I came in thru JFK.

Finally I can also in the spirit of giving back to the thread , I arrived in the US yesterday morning via Arik. On Monday the 19th I received the pick up call from Stanbic so I went there the next day for pick up. I was given 2k instead of the 4k I applied for at the rate of 377.77. From there I went to airport to find out about travelex and fit to fly from the port health.
On Sunday we got to the airport around 5pm, I went to the port health for my fit to fly, the nurse measured my bump and got 30 weeks even though I was 32 weeks+, she checked my bp and my weight and issued the certificate. I paid 1500 and also gave her 500 for recharge card. From there I checked and collected my boarding pass.
We had the intention of buying the remaining 2k from travelex but unfortunately they didn't have dollars on that day. The flight was for 11:30pm but we left 12:00am. Thanks to nefertitiram my mind was prepared not to expect too much from Arik, there was no in-flight entertainment, hostesses were not friendly and the food was just there.
We landed at JFK around 6:06am, meanwhile I met a friend's wife at the airport and we were on the same flight. We used the self assessment machine and my receipt came out with the x mark while hers was clear. Na dia my heart first cut, she was cleared immediately while I was directed to a cbp officer.
Cbp: good morning where are you coming from
Me: good morning, Nigeria
Cbp: why are here
Me: (truthfully I was scared and I wanted to say just vacation then I thought haba you are a Nairalander and you are fully harmed with your burden of proof, I renewed my visa via dropbox and also sent notification of intent letter) vacation and to have my baby
Cbp: stood up to look at me and said oh you are pregnant
Me : yes
Cbp: how long will you be staying
Me: 13 weeks
Cbp: do you have your return ticket
Me: yes
Cbp: what's the name of the hospital you will be using
Me: University of Maryland St Joseph Medical Center
Cbp: have you been there before
Me: yes I was there in March and I have my appointment card
Cbp: stamps my passport till March and said have a safe delivery
That was all, my bags were not checked. Took a taxi to port authority for 58$ and from there entered greyhound bus to Baltimore for 42$. Flying Arik to JFK then taking bus to Baltimore was cost effective for me as I got the ticket for 268k.
In all I thank God for his favor and this thread for preparing me.

I was there on Tuesday to find out.

Hmm, i really doubt that o. Most activities/businesses within the airport close by 10pm. To be on a safe side, you should probably go a day before.

Yes its right inside the airport and yes they work on weekends but I don't know if they work 24/7. My flight is for 11:30pm on Sunday and they said they will be there to give me the fit to fly.

Same thing happened to me,it was stress from preparation,just try to relax very well,elevate your leg and drink enough water. You can also check ur BP.

From what I ve learnt here, they said you can raise your legs, reduce salt intake.
Hope you have compression socks to wear on board for your journey? I don't have first hand experience.
