It is frustrating to discuss issues with people who do not know the facts but insists on arguing. Let me give some numbered points on the Gambian situation: 1. The President has right to dispute election results according to Section 49 of the Gambian constitution. 2. He has 10 days after declaration of election result to file this dispute so those of you saying he should have waited for the new guy to be sworn in do not know Gambian laws. 3. This dispute to election result is to be brought before the Gambian Supreme Court. The Gambian Supreme Court get's its Judges from Nigeria and Sierra Leone. Matter of fact the head of the Court and the only person available presently is a Nigerian who lives in Gambia. Nigeria has always provide judges for this cort, it is an arrangement, but as soon as Nigeria saw that President Yahya has filed a case against the election, as he is constitutionally empowered to, Nigeria refused to send them judges. 4. What Nigeria is saying by this is that you must accept the election result, you cannot go to court even if your constitution says you can, if you don't agree we will send in soldiers to forcefully inuagurate the other guy. 5. Some will say why will President Yahya not allow Borrow be sworn in even if the court is not sitting yet, the answer is in two sections of the Gambian constitution. Section 124(1a) says that the Supreme Court shall have maximum of 30 days to decide if a person was duly elected to be President or not. Whereas Section 63(2) says that a person appointed President shall resume office 60 days after his election. What these mean is that after Borrow has until February 2 to be President, and more importantly President Yahya should have gotten a ruling on his case by January 2 if not that Nigeria frustrated his attempt to enjoy his constitutional rights. The same Nigeria was coming to negotiate peace, is that not just stupid? NB: Accept it or not the matter is not straight forward. There is a constitutional crisis in Gambia caused by the overzealousness of the Nigerian government. They told Gambia that the judges we use to supply them were busy at a time Gambia needed us most. But our soldiers who are fighting Boko Haram are not business. They must be drafted to Gambia to rape the constitution which is an agreement of the Gambian people. Such dishonest, arrogant, nonesense! My question is, if nobody would be able to GH in January, who would people be PHing to? |
A South-African man has schooled Nigerians who are MMM participants. Relaying his experience of what happened to the popular money doubling scheme in his country way back in May, the man said contrary to reports that the participants will get their money when the bans on mavros have been lifted, nothing like that will happen. He said that was the exact thing that happened to them in May and up till now, no one has been able to get their money. He went ahead to say that Nigerians should have leanrt from South Africans. Read what he wrote below: ''LOL u should have learned from your brothers and sisters here in south africa , our old mavro maoney is gone as we speak and MMM is at silence as we speak so watch out for this ponzi schemes i have also learned my lesson here in south africa but at least is not to much money that i lost'' From reports gathered by NAIJ.com Gossip , this exact occurrence happening in Nigeria had happened also to the South African MMM sometime back. Headlines like: "Controversial “donation platform” and alleged Ponzi scheme, MMM" and "South Africa collapsed and rebooted amid what it calls a “media panic”, flooded the news page when it happened in SA. In a notice posted to participants of the scheme after it happened, the group said that “persecution against MMM organized by the mass media” has provoked a panic which has forced the scheme to “start all over again”. MMM’s administration said that the scheme’s currency – “Mavros” had been frozen and were impossible to use. The group blamed the collapse of the system on media reports and South African banks, which it alleges have hurt and robbed “millions” of people who were part of the MMM scheme. The scheme said it has started over with a clean sweep and all users whose mavros were frozen will be rewarded handsomely. They promised that the “old” version of the Mavro currency will be ‘bought out’ through trades of the “new” version of the currency, where equal value would be paid out to participants over six months, using 10% of total trade – effectively placing a debt burden on all participants. All these were made known May 1, 2016. See the exact notice as sent to all participants below: "Dear participants! Unfortunately, the persecution against MMM organized by the mass media has provoked a panic. We have been working in South Africa for almost 2 years and we have millions of members. During all that time, we had no complaints and accusations from participants, everything was paid to everyone in time and in full amount, by 30% per month. We held charity events and helped children. We did a lot of useful things for people! Well, who was suffering from this? READ ALSO: It's not a scam and 4 other things Mavrodi wrote to Buhari before freezing MMM "The bankers and the adherents of the current unjust financial system. That is why they planned and brought all these crazy investigations and persecution in the mass media. “The only thing which prevents the investigation is the fact that non of the participants reported to the police”. If there are no complaints, and everybody is happy, then what is the investigation for? What is the subject? Did not they understand the consequences? Did not they understand that their irresponsible actions would hurt people? Millions of people! Well, try oppressing any bank, even the most reliable one, in the same way, and see what will happen tomorrow. "However, it is futile to explain that to them. MMM prevents banks from robbing people, that is the only reason why all this is happening. And nobody cares about people. If we managed to pay millions of participants 30% per month for two years (and would still be paying, if the mass media did not lie about MMM!), why do banks not do the same? Why do they offer only a few percents a year? Make your own conclusions. Thought everything is clear right now. You are simply robbed, we have always been saying it. The modern financial system is predatory by nature. It is not for ordinary people, it is for the bankers. Its purpose is financial slavery! And it achieves this purpose perfectly. In general, in this situation, we have to start all over again. We have no choice. You can see on your own what is happening. The current (“old”) Mavros are frozen. Any operations with them are impossible. With the development of the system, we will send 10% of the total inflow (of all the PHs) to pay for the “old” Mavro. According to the experience of other countries, we can definitely say that in the normal course of events, all the old Mavro debts will be paid off in about six months. “New” Mavros (Mavro bought from the moment of this announcement) are introduced. You can use them on a common basis: to ‘acquire’ and ‘withdraw’ them at any time. All of this, of course, is not very nice, but it’s not the end of the world. We will quickly pay off “old” Mavro debts, no doubt about it. You just have to wait. (And anyway, you can thank your precious media and banks for this “gift”!). The best thing you can do is just to start participating again, that is all. And you will quickly return everything, even with a benefit. Moreover, now is the most favorable time to participate and invite: in fact, everything starts from the beginning. So do not miss your chance! :-)) We hope for your understanding, Administration." https://www.naij.com/1077428-how-mmm-owing-may-sa-participants.html CC: lalasticlala |

klassykute:You shouldn't expect the price of rice to drop to the level it was when there was no ban in its importation. The reason been that it is cheaper to import rice than to produce in Nigeria. That is why local rice couldn't compete with imported rice then. |

A prince from the Saudi royal family was executed on Tuesday for murdering a man during a brawl in the capital Riyadh, the Interior Ministry announced. The execution of Prince Turki Saud-al-Kabir is an extremely rare case of a member of the conservative kingdom’s ruling family being put to death. The Interior Ministry stated that “in announcing this, we want to affirm to all that the Kingdom’s government is determined to establish security. “It will bring about justice and implement God’s law against all those who attack the innocent.” Meanwhile, local media reported that the killing for which the prince was executed took place in 2012. The media indicated that Prince Turki’s death sentence was upheld by the Appeal Court and the High Court. Another royal prince welcomed the news, in the first public reaction from a member of the ruling family. Prince Khaled Al Saud said “this is God’s law, and the way of our blessed kingdom. May God have mercy on the killer and his victim.” A report says the execution brings to 128 the number of persons put to death so far in the country this year. Saudi Arabia, which applies strict interpretation of Islamic law, is among the top executioners in the world, according to international rights groups. On Jan. 2, authorities beheaded 47 people, including a prominent Shiite cleric, on terrorism-related charges, leading to furious protests from regional rival Iran and criticisms from rights groups. Saudi Arabia imposes the death penalty for offences including murder, armed robbery, banditry, rape, drug-trafficking and witchcraft. www.dailytrust.com.ng/news/international/saudi-arabia-executes-prince-for-murder/167466.html |

Q: How do you divide the equity if two partners have money to invest, and the third has the idea and will put in the work? A: This is a huge foundational issue that can make or break your company, as it will affect every aspect of the business and will have consequences for the entire life span of the venture. Therefore, it is important that you set yourself up for success. The person who has the idea and is going to do the work should be the majority owner of the business with the money partners getting a small minor share. Too many founders make the mistake of giving away too much ownership, control, influence and power to the money partners. While they should be super grateful for the offer of an investment, it is important to remember that the blood, sweat and tears, the long hours, the stress and the grind is for the founder to carry, for the most part, alone. That said, the money partners are super important and are major reason why your business will succeed if you don’t have access to your own money. Just make sure that the terms and conditions are in the startup’s best interest. The money partners will not be running the business and they will have other careers and businesses to focus on besides yours. When the going gets tough, most investors will not be arm in arm with you solving and fixing the problems. Those that do are golden so try to seek them out. The founder should be adequately taken care of with majority equity ownership percentage, stock options and a parachute should his/her employment be terminated down the road. It is also very important that the investor is adequately compensated for their trust and belief in you. In many cases you can get a convertible loan or straight debt financing instead of giving away too much equity, as these are usually more attractive from a tax perspective to the investor. The question of valuation and percentage ownership for the business partners is always a thorny and uncomfortable subject. Get a valuation formula or mechanism agreed to and in place up front before you take their check in order to avoid downstream problems. Many businesses fail because the partners cannot agree on the value of the business and the ownership percentages. Most of the time this is because the founder thinks that their idea is the next billion dollar unicorn, blinding them to the reality that almost every business fails. If your business is pre-revenue and pre-profitability it can easily be argued that the business is worth zero. So don’t kill a potential financing opportunity because the investor wants to value your "idea" at $ 500,000 or $ 2 Million. Be grateful that you are one of the few that actually get financed as most start-ups never do. Do not make the mistake of trying to own a large piece of a small pie when owning a smaller chunk of a bigger more viable business would be better for you, your partners and the company. Try to avoid investors who are looking to control you through the legal documents. Beware of agreements that force you to give up board seats, veto rights, anti-dilution rights and approval rights. Instead you want partners that believe in you, who trust you and most importantly who empower you and support you. We call this ‘friendly money’. You want partners who add significant value by rolling up their sleeves, working in the trenches, providing mentorship, expertise, and/or connections. These folks are called "smart money." If you can get both friendly and smart money then accept the investment with gratitude and run hand in hand with your new money partner towards success. https://www.entrepreneur.com/article/274735 |

Which stupid government official signed the agreement to give the lawyer 40 % of the money? So the lawyer would get 220 million dollars while the whole of Nigerians would get 330 million dollars. |
