Harsh? Naaaaahhhhhhhhhh
TV is the king of 'harsh'
On top the degree, he now has masters in subtlety......However, I haven't been able to achieve the subtletly part sad

But he can handle it.....just like I was supposed to handle his last sentence in bold wink

and no worries, I didn't type that post, my twin sister did! I'm never gonna let her do that to you cheesy
Hmmm...I know he is capable....just wondered if your response was commensurate with his post

You are the one mixing it up.

Not everyone who commits suicide is an atheist, or are you saying otherwise?

Before we proceed.
The person here who did it is an atheist hence the reference to that
i did not say that
I said an atheist committing suicide is akin to a path taken by someone who embarks on a destination he is sure of.

Will you tell him there is heaven or hell
He knows there is no such

I was interested in your own views

I ask you again
Do you believe in an afterlife

Life is full os challenges and whatnot alright, atheist or not, how many people do you think would rather be nothing than what they are? The brave ones who care enough to be nothing, often take their lives, the cowardly ones who would rather manage what they are till whatver decide to live.
I think you r mixing it up
We both agree life is full of challenges

Only the brave will face those challenge head on

You see facing the unknown as brave

For an atheist... The afterlife does not exist

This does not include depression induced suicide where the mental faculties are impaired

It's not a plan of nothing the way I see it, the fear of the unknown holds one back.
But for an atheist... There is no unknown

That's why I asked whether you believe in an afterlife

I wish you the best and happy married life
It will have been better you did this before you took in but i hope your man follows through

What u r are experiencin is a bit of culture clash

Here in naija, women out of high school dont get married like how it used to be 40 years back or how it was in the West then; hence the attack on your person

leb0gang:
love has no age restrictions as long as the person u involved with has good intentions. U know in SA, having a relationship with a foreigner, more especially a nigerian, is very controversial. But I wasnt expecting her, my aunt, to act the way she did. Pretending to care and like my man whereas she doesnt. Anyway, my husband and I will be travelling together for the first time together up to imo state for our nigerian traditional marriage in december.

I'd rather leave religion out of it.

I just know that, if it was so easy to slit a wrist or walk to that pharmacy, I may not be here.
Religion and afterlife are not necessarily intertwined

You may not b an adherent of any religion but believe an afterlife exists

I guess its a matter of perspective. You say living is easier than dying

Living in a world full of evil, stress, diseases, strife compared to a plane of NOTHING

I know which is easier

We have to agree to disagree

That can't be the only reason someone wants to move out, just wanted to tick someone people.

It's very important that a lady lives on her own at some point.
ok... as has been noted
The fact one has overbearing parents or not does not negate the fact that one can stay with parents or learn baking or sewing or whatever fancy catches your attention

They are mutually exclusive.

Still looking for the justification

I chose the easy way out.
As in.. living is easier than dying?

How so

For an atheist (which the protagionist in this tale is) when we die there is nothing ,,,so why should nothing be harder than the reality of life

Do you believe in an afterlife or u r also an atheist

No Im not.. just wanted to be clear
Another person said equality
If an unmarried man can move out.. why not a lady

interesting
So an unmarried man can move out but an unmarried lady can't? So, the ability to "move out" now lies in the cork?.quote]

While harsh... this is true
Sijioke:
Guys dont follow this guy this is devilish and misleading. You said their is no Godhuh Die and go to hell. U suffered on earth and stil u would go to hell? That is painfull. You mean you cant live in God's way. Psalm 1:6. For God knoweth the way of the righteous but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
Cant say more than that.
I pray anyone reading this post wont die young and would not miss heaven, our ultimate goal including me.

Well said.
There has to be standards for any sane society to move forward, order is a necessity.
I must admit, the majority of responses by females on this thread regarding dressing really surprised me - I found solace in the fact that this is an anonymous platform, hence people would want to follow the majority instead of stating what they truly think.
Very good examples here, I already made use of the mother-daughter instance earlier to highlight the obvious hypocrisy in supporting the 'she has a right to dress however she wants' movement - but like a kite on air, it seemed my effort flew over their heads.
I would love to see how the women on here respond @bold texts, if they were to be faced with your vividly accurate instances.
LOL

TV01:
They will respond by not responding, or invective and ad-hominem, or emoticons, or gifs, or purposely mis-interpreting/mis-ascribing/mis-construing or missing the point altogether, and finally resort to raspberries grin.

The lack of any considered, well-thought out end-to-end ideology is glaring, but hey, "they just go with their hearts", bless 'em

After all, orientation is fixed and immutable, whilst "gender" is fluid grin!
