Adex70: @pidzo,ilish,sammu the 4930 is keeping me amazed, just discover this box have satlite finder by it self, just press the info and press the green colour timeshift the box will go straigth to sat finder, then if u are motorized set ur freequency then press the move either west or east, u can also automatical lock on the whole sat on ur decoder by comand the box it will search each sat by it self.

Keep discovering bro, that thing is like an AK47 (poor man's machine gun). The 4930 is just too good for its price. I still love it as if its just new.

loluc90: Want to believe srt 4940 is strictly for mytv,I also tried imputing the cccam stb stuff on and it kept telling me not compatible.just my observation.

I've never tried this SRT 4940 or seen one. But looking at reports from users I believe this is a NO GO AREA. Those wanting to enjoy Mpeg4 and HD should try 4930 or its predecessors and not this gadget. Just thinking aloud.

odilibe: lol,some pay-tv providers are just ready to rip consumers off,most of this channels are free to air ,of-course bbc news is free on nilesat and aljazeera news is free to air on intelsat 10 and eutelsat 28a and arabsat 5c while true movies is free to air on eutelsat 28a @ 28.2degrees east europe beam,and can be opened using biss key on atlanticbird @12.5west and that includes trace on 12.5 west europe beam ,they even have fox-fx,ait ,nta on their channel list ,i am quite sure fox-fx is free on nilesat 102, while ait and nta is free to on intesat.Having rights to show bundesliga or uefa doesn't make any differents ,for example Dubai sports a channel from U.A.E show bundesliga and this is fta channel,this provider won't make any profit in europe or the middle-east.

The only reason people may go for such pay-tv providers is that the channels you say are free are hard or impossible to get here in the Southern part of Africa. But it is indeed a pity that one gets FTA channels and sells them. Their channel line up is appalling, no documentaries, no good movie channels (Zuku has very good movies),Uefa and Bundesliga are mostly on FTA platform. In short, UNATTRACTIVE!

This issue you raising has come about with the latest updates. Initially the receiver was behaving exactly the way you are putting it, blinking in such a way that you could know you are closer to a satellite. If you could roll back to previous versions you will get the feature you are talking about.

Citizen TV on Intelsat 7/10 KU band? What's the frequency? The posted frequency was for Intelsat 17 and not Intel7/10 (hopefully). Tell us more of your problem so that we may assist you bro.

My TV launches in Zimbabwe

The My TV entertainment and lifestyle pay-TV platform has been awarded a content distribution license by the Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe.

Through a decoder, smart card and monthly subscription, Lebanon-based My TV provides channels such as BBC World News, Al Jazeera, kids.co, Trace, Fine Living Network, True Movies, Fox Entertainment, My TV Movies, Setanta and Movie Africa.

In addition, My TV holds rights to show German Bundesliga, Spanish La Liga and UEFA European football matches, according to The Herald.

The My TV decoder and start up pack is now available in Zimbabwe for US$80, with an 18-channel package priced at $22 per month, reports the newspaper.

This latest pay-TV package is seen as a lower cost alternative to the digital offering from satellite platform DStv, and comes ahead of the loss of the South African free to air channels SABC 1, 2 and 3 in neighbouring Zimbabwe later this month.

European basketball goes global on TV

The Euroleague Final Four tournament, to be held in Istanbul from 11-13 May, will be shown on 66 television networks in 174 countries around the world.

Host broadcaster, NTV Spor of Turkey, has helped upgrade the coverage of the Final Four games and the events surrounding them, according to organisers, Euroleague Basketball. As well as the games, the Final Four official press conferences, the EFES Pilsener Awards Ceremony and the Nike International Junior tournament will be broadcast the first time.

Among those 66 networks, ESPN will bring the action to 101 countries; Setanta and Supersport will reach 43 sub-Saharan African nations; Canal+ will broadcast action exclusively to seven countries in Europe and Africa and non-exclusively to 58 more; Al Jazeera Sport will carry the games to 22 countries and territories in the Middle East; Viasat will serve seven northern European counties; and CCTV, CSPN and Guangdong TV will together reach the Chinese audience.

Fourteen TV networks will be broadcasting live courtside from Sinan Erdem Arena - in 13 different languages. In addition, video highlights, features and interviews from the Final Four can be viewed online at Euroleague.TV.
