Although your post has some strange characters what I can say is that get SRT 4669XII. It has frequent updates and plenty of tips from forum members. If you get in trouble with it a lot of members will try to help since many of them have it.

simniboma: Brite02, to get to know the software version your machine is using, press the menu on your remote, enter ther password, select system information and it will reveal to you the software version (SW), Hardware version (HW), Boot Version and other infors.

Most of the times original software lacks some details that are incorporated in the later releases. Like SRT4930, it had no option to activate Cccam or Newcamd, it had no OTA menu (which is now included), had no option for Youtube, etc. So these updates come with new features which you 'might' find useful.

What software version are you using for your SRT4669XII?

There are a lot of changes (updates) in the new software (as compared to the last MyTV version). Even the picture quality looks superb to me. Although I don't like the boot screen myself I'll stick with this version for now. (Don't ask me what's new coz I haven't checked it in detail ).

As the report says it will replace Apstar 2R at 76.5 degrees East Longitude. Currently Apstar 2R only beams C band to this part of the world but this new satellite will combine that with KU band and will cover most parts of Africa. There are channels like Dubai Sports, Liverpool FC TV (which is in BISS), etc - see: _http://www.lyngsat.com/Apstar-2R.html for all info relevant to you and your location. Further tweaking makes it possible to combine this Apstar 2R with Thaicom 5 at 78.5°E on one LNB. Apstar 7 has not started operations yet.

Chinese Long March 3B/E launches Apstar-7

China opened their 2012 commercial launch manifest with the lofting of the Apstar-7 into orbit. The launch took place at 10:27 UTC from the LC2 launch platform from the Xichang satellite Launch Center, using a Long March 3B/ (Chang Zheng-3B/E) launch vehicle.

Apstar-7 satellite is an advanced telecommunications satellite based on Spacebus 4000 C2 of Thales Alenia Space with a lift-off mass of 5,054 kg and a design lifetime over 15 years.

The satellite has 56 operational transponders (28 C-band and 28 Ku-band) onboard, and will replace the current Apstar-2R satellite at 76.5 degrees East Longitude.

Apstar-7 satellite’s C-band global beam covers Asia, Africa, Australia and part of Europe, while its multiple Ku band include a China Beam, a Middle East & North Africa Beam, an Africa Beam and a Steerable Spot Beam – able to provide in-beam and cross-beam broadcast and telecommunication services.

my neighbours just had an emergency meeting concerning my dishes, according to the meeting, it was said that an army man, asked & enquire about the dish & its owner then ended by saying that i am using it to tap into people's channels that what am doing is illegal (meanwhile i didn't meet this soldier) that people who distribute/beam this various channels spent millions to air it, while me am just watching it free. No be small tin oh the man self wanted to come and arrest me oh. Meanwhile, i was nt around, in the emergency meeting they were asking me to dismantle my dishes 60cm,80cm,90cm(on the roof) and 1.8m on the ground to avoid unforeseen and unexpected wahala.. But me i no agree, i tried explaining to them that am nt watching paid channels rather F.T.A channels and that it is legal but am thinking about dismantling my 1.8m dish because is drawing too much attention since am staying in a school compound where people, footballers come to play their game, hence the army man case, plz advice

The story you narrating here is similar to what I experienced. I too have three KU band dishes on the roof (60cm, 80cm and 90cm - see the similarity) and have two 1.8m dishes on the ground. Everybody in my neighbourhood had only one 60cm dish pointing at Intelsat 7/10 and there were questions and bizarre suggestions as to why I have all these dishes. I tried to explain but nobody could buy it. When my best friend saw me watching FREE FA Cup on MBC3 it's when he told me to do the same at his home. I did. Now people are little by little getting it that there are more channels up there. Last week another friend came to have w3a installed which I also did. He called at night to thank me that he is watching an FTA match that he wouldn't have been watching had I not installed his second dish. So you can see that the level of ignorance is very high when it comes to satellite tv. One example is that SOLDIER. You can never be arrested just because you are watching FTA. Continue enjoying your ventures bro and if funds are permitting ADD another dish

I once said I suspect the hand of Big Bro in this. Of late there have been less and less FTA games of EPL. Yesterday even RDV showed a common game instead of what they usually do - they usually show a different game from what the rest are showing on FTA platform.

I have a dvd movie which is presenting me with problems. When it is inserted in the rom it starts fine only up to the menu level then it loops back. I tried jumping to individual chapters and they fail to play. I tried converting the contents to another format and I failed. Any way out? -

That's what we have always been saying. The best way to treat such kind of questions is to IGNORE them, DO NOT ANSWER THEM. This will make the poster know where to post them, in the NEWBIES section and not here. In the Newbies Section ALL questions are answered, whether new or repeated. But if we keep on answering repetitive questions like: "How do I track W3A?" will we move forward? Technology is moving forward daily and we need to be discussing those issues and not teaching somebody 'who is lazy' how to install an offset KU band dish to track NSS 12 in this thread. So what will be discussed in the NEWBIES section? People say the question is RUBBISH not because it's senseless, but because it has been posted in the wrong thread. Grade 1 material is surely not for Grade 8 students. Let grade 1 students learn in Grade 1 and progress to other grades. Nothing comes on a silver platter, read and experiment on your own. It's not the duty of us to direct any poster here where to find any needed material, it's the duty of the poster to research before posting (don't be lazy).
