Because I have refused to accept the raw nonsense escalated above as a fact, I have become a ra.pist? Little wonder why most Nigerians are not totally independent; they are controlled by every tool used by the media and west to delude them. How can a supposed rap.e be recorded and sent to the internet for criticism? |

Fokativ: The police should get a copy of the video and watch, there are enough leads in the video to unmask the criminals
1. Names were mentioned -Wisdom, Uche, Zaki, etc 2. Some faces of the rapistss appeared though sparingly 3. Voices were audibly heard 4. Self-confessions were made by some of the suspects e.g. I'm doing my IT, I'm a Law student, I have my own car, etc.
These are enough leads for any serious-minded Police officer. Nice suggestion, but who is going to probe this? We fight for ourselves in this country nowadays, you can't wait for the security firms or govt. to solve your problems. If she can come out boldly or discreetly in this claim then we can all join voices together to protest. BTW, are you also saying there is no possibility of this being a hoax? |

Do you know they cant withstand sharing the incident to any one? Please talk like a human being pls. Its called Counselor. Don't attach sentiments to fact, it is very subjective. Fokativ: @Pinkrex How do you investigate a case when you don't even know the authenticity? Different rumours here and there, nobody in the family of the lady even under disguise has really reported the issue, we are too quick to judge! haba! The lady is traumatized and so is her family members I guess. Besides, what guarantee is there that she/her family members won't be killed or kidnapped if she reports formally to the police?
Watch the video, watch her reaction closely, also have you thought of how it got to youtube?? I've watched the video and I don't see anything strange in her reaction to suggest anything was stage-managed. Anybody can upload a video on youtube so long as you have an account there, I have loaded several musical videos in the past. So suggest how they should begin their investigations then |

paraphase: I still dont understand why incompetent gvt officials would say the video is Hoax when you could clearly see and hear the victim begging them to kill her. In a more developed countries these incompetent people would have no choice than to resign because people would surely use this against them.
@pinkrex I wasn't expecting you to reply my post! I answered you because you need a psychiatric evaluation but I'd serve as your first aid here. You don't just open your gutter to abuse people just because you have an opinion contrary to theirs. When im done with you, you'll embrace tact! |

cicero: @pinkrex 1. The rap.ed lady never showed up. How many females that you know will come out and say yeah I got violated by one animal, not to talk of ten?
2. no report has been made for investigation Who will make the report? Some students of ABSU and other Institutions have been opening up since this happened that it is a frequent occurrence, how many have you heard of? Do your research and discover that only a small percentage of violation victims ever come out to report. How many cases of violation has our judicial system prosecuted with conviction? Did they kill her or have they killed her to cover their faces?
3.No concrete proof to show that it wasn't a conspiracy or an agreement The question here is not the possibility of conspiracy, but a dastardly act that paints us in bad light, shows the level of moral decadence, has the possibility of inspiring other such acts and debases our women just occurred and there is need for some consequence that will serve as a deterrent and a strong statement that our society and government will not condone such acts or waywardness.
4. Police don't operate with rumours Did you mean police as a concept or the Nigerian police? I bet you don't leave in Nigeria.
5. The west escalated this to strengthen their propaganda(make everything look incompetent) I see people who must blame the west for just about anything. Will this kind of thing be condoned in any American state? Can you imagine the American state governor coming out to deny that this happened in their state?
6. The is no case to be investigated There is a strong case to be investigated, and the individuals left enough clues in the video that forensic investigation can bring out may be slowly but surely. I don't have the nerves to watch the video but I have heard an earful already and I think it is only a heartless, self centered, devil possessed individual that will down play the severity of this video and the proportions of its implication. Another great analysis from 'them say them say'. Please go and watch the video then get back to me. And what forensic ish are you talking about? |

samtoye: Most of you reeling out curses and ouuuuuu-ing and aahhhhhhh-ing had never seen the video. I think Nigerians and hypocrisy are synonymous. This incident happened several weeks ago and nothing was said until foreign press escalated it. I have watched the video, although the act is despicable and barbaric but i can't deny the role all parties played in the said video. There is a Latin term stated as - volenti non fit injuria translated as "No injury can be done to a willing person". I quote from the audio in the video - "One of the guys said - don't talk about God, i am a law student and i know the law, and a contract is a contract. The girl had a contract with the guys, it happens in our schools, warn your sisters and girlfriends, As a Yoruba adage says " He who does what the ears have not heard before shall see what eyes have not seen before". The girl would not report herself cos the truth would come out and those boys shall reap what they sow.
The video is on Naijapal site, just google "abia gang violation video on Naijapal" Exactly my position, and they are all raining insults on me. |

dare2think: The bolded is my opinion. Sticking to my opinion is not the problem, there is no problem just difference in opinions.
Giving out of love and not of expectations is what I believe in. You give out of love because you are moved right? God will be moved by your giving too, so he compensate you. It is written in the bible na. |

dare2think: Yes, the dictionary's definition is my understanding of success. I however agree with yours as well, Success is very subjective and dependant upon each individual. So as well is the case of "giving to recieve", its subjective. If you feel a person needs to give to receive then its probably your mantra but it does not mean its applicable to everyone because not everyone shares that believe.
Pls can you expantiate on the bolded, what do you mean in "giving and receiving in moderation"?
By the way, I believe in Giving if you have , I just dont subscribe to giving with the intention to recieve You shouldn't give give out excessively especially to your detriment, and you don't also receive excessively and absorb all you receive. When you give, you should naturally have no expectation to receive back because where you'll get it back from is not guaranteed; however you can hope for God to enrich you more for it is written and promised in the Bible. I have answered you o, you are just sticking to your opinion and that's the problem. |

dare2think: suc·cess (sk-ss) n. 1. The achievement of something desired, planned, or attempted: attributed their success in business to hard work. 2. a. The gaining of fame or prosperity: an artist spoiled by success. b. The extent of such gain. 3. One that is successful: The plan was a success.
-sighs-
The above is my understanding of success, do you have any meaning contrary to the above? That's just a dictionary definition and you are also entitled to your own opinion. Success to me is to have a distinguished form of achievement modestly in everything desired. A man with excess wealth is not successful if he doesn't enjoy his wealth. Everyone is also challenged with one form of hardship or the other at every point in life irrespective of wealth. But when you give out and receive in moderation and you live peacefully then you can boast of success. However success is not fully attached to wealth only; at any level in life you can boast of success because it depends on how you see it. |
