Her university promised her a job since 2011 till now and other unversities, they said go and do masters first which she has done. My dear she is so down.

I dont completely agree. What applied in his days still apply now.
If u have good grades esp a 1st class, n actually know your onion, d sky is ur limit. I speak from my family's experience. I still know kids who finished say 2/3yrs ago with good grades n work in very good places without any 'influence'.
This mentality of no motivation is what students already have before they even get into school. Very wrong mentality. I would have shared some experiences on this forum but it would be a very long story. Kids should always strive to be tops regardless of the 'no motivation' factor, and see where it gets them.

Crich I beg to differ, let me give an example of someone I know personally she graduated with. First class in Agric economics, could not get a job she went for masters and got distinction up till now no work after thousands of application . She teaches in a secondary school where she is paid 30k. I have told her to apply to Canada she will get schoolarship for PHD , guess what she is not motivated at all. I just did internship and about rounding up NYSC in 3weeks time, that most of my experience and of course pp. What if I do a masters of pharmacy . And please which states still has pharmacist on their CSOL

I have admissions for Msc Materials Engineering (mineral processing ) Mcgill University and Msc Petroleum Engineering Imperial college london. In any of the choices, I will be studying with a full scholarship up to the Phd level. How would you rate the mining and mineral processing industries in canada and whats the school life and job opportunities like as compared to uk. I am inclined to take the imperial offer but I get discouraged with the existent visa policy of the Uk. On the contrary, If one decides to come back to Nigeria Mining is not a big deal here, Petroleum is. Thank you guys for your suggestions.

Ps. My undergraduate degree was in Mining Engineering (1.1)
