[quote author=StNonsky post=51635343]Good day all. I'm searching for any Pharmacist that got ECA from WES because they don't want to sit for licensure exams straight away and it was accepted by CIC. Mine was rejected and PEBC is expensive as it is time consuming.

Expert opinions pls [/quote

If pharmacy is your primary tittle, then you must do your evaluation with PEBC, document evaluation cost between $1000-1500 all things been equal and currently takes between 6-8weeks to complete depending on how soon you can send your complete package

Hello house, please please and please, i have read this thread from page 0 to 220( though skipped some parts)
I still dont understand all of these.
I beg you all to come to my rescue, no insult please, i swear i no understand.
I am married with two kids, am a microbiologist with 2 years working experience, husband is a medical doctor with 5 years experience (plus housemanship).
Our age group falls between the range 18-35. Husband does not want to write the canadian board exam for now cos of the cost and some other factors.
My questions:
* Is there any other route he can take with his certificate? Maybe a health officer, or something sha, not as a doctor per say
* can i also be the primary applicant?
* what are our chances
Note that we have not written english exam
Please try explain to me. From the begining of thr thread i saw that we need atleast 67, later i started seeing 364,475,456 and so on
Thanks and God bless you all
Your husband does not need to write any exams for EE all he needs is to have his document evaluated by MCC, when he come here he can decide what next to do, if he wants to practice as a doctor then he will need to write those exams if not he can switch his career.

Hey guys, i have been following this thread since it was formed. This is my husband Timeline

1/11/16: submitted paper route

19/11/16: medical mail, there was a mix up as he already did upfront medical, VFS sent him a mail that his passport was ready for collection, we thought it was a refusal, but alas it was for him to go for medicals, he called the clinic and they had not sent his medical, so they sent it and gave him a copy of his e-medical which he attached to his passport and took back to VFS

9/12/16: tracked via vfs and said ready to pick

13/12/17: collected my visa at vfs Abuja, visa was approved on the 7/12/16

Documents submitted
Applicable cic forms
Hubby's SOA
Police clearance
Marriage cet
Letter from his workplace
my study permit,
Passport data page
Confirmation of enrollment
Letter of invite

I thank God.

JUBILEE2000:
Hello gurus in the house, thanks for your sacrifice and priceless contributions on this forum.
Please my wife will be traveling with our 3 children for a 2 year diploma program. The oldest of my children is 6 but the challenge here is that the school fees for early and primary years is as high as the diploma program in Ontario. I just googled it and it's as high as CAD14,000. Please can smbdy help me with any info on affordable schools for international children. Thanks a lot
If your wife is on study permit and your kids are above 4yrs, which is school years here, they are free to go to school without paying. you only pay if the are below 4 and have to go to daycare. Beside why not look for schools in Saskatchewan, Alberta, that also give health almost free, as compared to Ontario where you have to pay for health insurance

Normally, NYSC experience cannot be said to be one year of work experience in the real sense of it because you will not work(PPA) in the 1st and 12th months of the scheme cos they are for orientation and winding up/passing of the program.
So are you saying one cannot include NYSC as job experience even though it meets over 70% of the job description in your NOC

Hello folks,

I would lke to give kudos to you all for your tireless efforts and info.
I have been a silent reader on the site, and i have followed few of the outlined steps in applying for my Msc in canada.
I applied to USASK and UBC, I succeeded in paying application fees but never went beyond that. i mailed some supervisors at both universities but my mail wasnt attended to.
I hold a first degree (with a second class lower)in pharmacy from a federal university in Nigeria, am considering MSC in any of the branches of pharmacy.
please kindly give your advice on how best to approach this
See if you can contact this moniker (Mizbaby) she read pharmacy and got Msc, may be she can guide you. I read pharmacy too but am not doing Msc so i cant advice you on that. if you read part 7 or 8 there is also a rxcist doing public health at Usask see if you can find her.

@ Pinkygrace,I can't thank you enough.pls,I would want your candid advice.is it worth it pursing EE in Canada for someone who is currently working in Federal Teaching Hospital as a Pharmacist with three years experience and less than 30 years
Pursing this EE is capital intensive and don't want to abandon it half way. Thanks once again
Well from your profile you have a good standing, all you need is a good ilets score(CLB9 and above)so you can get at least 450points and that will give you some edge, i dont know if you are married or not.
Once your license in Canada(that requires hard work in passing the exams, which is do able, the way this Indians ace the exams ehnn you go fear) it will be worth it. start now and focus on it, document evaluation takes about 2months, after they get all your documents depending on how fast they are and volume of application, i sent mine in December, got acknowledgment of receiver in January and document evaluation was complete in march.. AM also trying to do mine, just that school work is crazy for me, once am done with school work by July will write my in English test and then enter the pool.

cheers

Pls house, how do I evaluate my B.Pharmacy for express entry,is it through WES or a licensing body?

@ Vcole and other experienced members. Thanks
Sorry for asking are you a doctor or pharmacist?

This are the steps for evaluating your B.pharm

STEP1. Register and create an account at www.pharmacistsgatewaycanada.ca, you will have to choose a province and pay ($325 + tax, if applicable(tax applicable if paying with Canadian card if not no tax)

STEP 2. Go to PEBC website( http://www.pebc.ca/) and read the instructions for document evaluation and follow the process.
let me break the pebc document evaluation for you alittle

1. Your transcript sent directly from from your school directly
2. LICENSING statement , from PCN if your currently licensed directly to pebc
3. Notarized means of identification, change of name if applicable and application form with document evaluation fee$550CAD,International money order or bank draft - Drawn from a Canadian bank if your applying through paper, but Nigerian applicant are advised to apply online if they can

Hope this helps, let me know if you need more help.

Thank you. what kind of visa is appropriate for my situation. The exam is held in two countries i.e uk and Canada
Well nothing ventured nothing gain.I know of 2 senior colleague. One who applied solely with the intention to come write the exams and his visa was granted last year, he came around February, wrote evaluating in in July and took both MCQ and OSCE in November, unfortuanetly he failed OSCE and passed only MCQ, he is coming back to do OSCE in November this year. The second came for evaluating exams in January2016 but i dont know whether he applied for purpose of the exams or just normal tourist visa.
BUT Most people i have seen trying the exams are either having PR already or have study permit. Hope you are jacking well oh, from what i have seen with some friends here the exam na baba oh. As men of honor we join hands

I intend to apply for study permit in April but I was in UK from 2013-14.
The kit checklist requires PCC(police cert) from Nigeria and UK. How do I go about this?
The choice is entirely yours, when i applied for my own study permit i did not submit PCC from UK (2012-2013) even thou i mentioned i was in the UK that period in my LOA, and submitted my UK visa page.

But from the little i researched then its did not seem so hard to get the PCC , I think u can ask a friend in the uk to help

Hi in the house,am glad to be in dis forum.Pls,i will nid som clarification and enquiries on my application for study permit.
Am a 34yr old medical doctor, presently in clinical practice,i applied for PGD in public health practice at concordia university of edmonton,d admission was not granted as dey claim i didnt meet d mininmum GP.however,i didnt knw how dey calculated my GP as Medical certificates are not graded with class unlike other courses and our transcript of scores are not credit based
subsequently, dey gave me an offer of admission at undergraduate level(3yrs BSC),letter of acceptance and other documents were attached for visa processing.
kindly advice me as am about payin for acceptance fee of 2500CND.wud my age be a problem, even dou i have MBBS as my first degree here in nija, also how much shud i av as my minimum balance as the total fee was 13000CND for d first year wich is stil affordable for me.Though d main aim of study permit either graduate or undergraduate is nt about d schooling, buh about secondary intention of gettin d vital materials and training to pass their medical council exams and get a provisional registration to practice over dere.
Hmm that strange thou, am a pharmacist which is not gradaed also but i got admission into same course for 2015/2016 but could not resume due to late approval of my study permit. by which classes had started. Even as medcine is not graded on your transcript your final grase point is there. something must have not been clear. i still intend doing same course next year (2016/2017). i paid may acceptance fee with a credit card, but i think you can do bank transfer from nigeria through the banks.

In my opinion having and MBBS and going for an undergrad might be a red flag thou, i dont know sha. why not try applying for MPH directly and see, there also some PGD in clinical reserach offered by HUMBER AND SENECA( Seneca Might not take international student)

Also i hope u have gone though what it entails for you to do conversion here.
