All of you blaming the lady for not minding her business are stupid .an average Nigerian is not worth helping sis this is your rewards for helping a fellow next mind your business by not helping anyone
So many heartless people here. By telling her friend to stop is not minding her business. I understand why rich folks are reluctant to help their fellow colleagues in Naija now.

You are totally blind to the callousness of the applicant because of a personal experience with HRs just admit it, the hr did nothing wrong, the applicant did everything wrong.
The HR did everything wrong in all aspects. All these degrading tactics will work for a desperate job seeker because the applicant is psychologically in need and most HRs prey on that.
For an experienced hire you dare not try such nonsense. The applicant reaction is understandable and he even forgave the stupid HR. The HR is lucky, some won't let it go.
The HR job is to bring capable hands on a particular job not to play God instead. No wonder the profession is the most hated.I am guessing you are one.

The applicant lacks emotional intelligence!

if the HR is egoistic, then what adjective do you want to use for the applicant?

Or you're indirectly saying the applicant is good to go with such kinda response?
Be honest with me if you were a distinguished professor or an experienced job seeker like op friend. Will you tolerate this nonsense and I think he deserves such response. He/She clearly disrespected the OP friend if you read between lines. Forget the polite reply.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: An Ugly Experience With A HR Officer In Abuja by pixey(m): 9:57pm On May 05, 2021
Some comments here are just very surprising. Imagine that silly HR applied for a position of his field and was given a junior position without a call to accept or reject. He asked that it was not the position he applied for and they told him " That is correct! We felt this is the best position for you."Do you think he would be humble? grin .That move was a dirty tactic and the OP's friend understands this. Msc or Bsc or whatever. It is very unprofessional.

The fact is, people are gonna judge this situation base on their perceptive. If we are to be objective, you'll see that both parties are wrong.

While the HR needs to work on his professionalism, the chest beater also have to work on his emotional intelligence.

He's too egoistic for my liking...
Emotional intelligence is bullshit ! These are tools and tricks fraudulent companies use to deceive their employees of their benefit.
Read the message well! The HR is the egoistic one.

I understand. But what is wrong in " I didn't apply for that. I'm not interested" finish. I hope you get where I'm going to? It costs nothing bro. Even if he was with a very high paying job. Humility matters. I know a person heading a hotel. The cook had msc and no one knew until managerial position opened up. Guess what...she earns times two more than the previous manager. The humility startled the owner. There is a thin line between knowing your self worth and pride....
I guess you did not read through those messages. He informed the HR of what he applied for.If you are talking about humility. The HR is not humble for degrading an applicant without more research.

IT is good, but for an under developed nation like Nigeria it will create less impact.

The following traing for youths will pay off betta

Fabrication of various material is they way to go.

Manufacturing is the way to go.

Production is the way to go.

Innovation is the way to go.

Character and brain dev is they way to go.

IT is good, but................
Tech makes all economic activities more efficient and effective. Innovation is the same in line of tech.
This should have been done long time ago. We have a lot of tech geniuses who have no job .Enormous resources but underutilized.

Then he is not a geniuse if a good evironment is what you need to trigger. you water down the definitions too much.

In his interactions with people in his class there must be something abiding which stands out from the rest. So even if the school miss it. Other humans won't. That's how geniuse work. It not your i.q as abstract. It's your i.q represented.
.that means if you have an I.q better than people surely it would find a way to manifest literally among those people.

Why does those people have to come from a choice place.

I guess you have not been in a situation that the wrong learning environment would affect your studies. I said everyone is a genius in its own way because one bad environment for one is actually the best for another. God has bless us with gifts.its up to us to find it and nurture it. When you have a very good environment(based on the person) to nurture,it manifests.I hope you understand me.Don't compare intellect. It is relative.

From your comment you look like the kind that will debased your country for the white man treats.

All of you wants to go to the white mans land. Just go sons of Africa. But stop calling nigeria names on your way. It's a cheap justification for your reason to exite .h eis not geniuse.

Aside geniuses stand out in whatever field or climate. How do you have a i.q better than 99 percent of people in the world but your lack consciouse flexibility and adaptability. You only strive in advance climates.

That's rigidity of some sought. The world geniuse is hung far above your head. Not like this.

I am a Nigerian. I do not boast of being a geniuse.

But if I were I will understand the nigeria reality however harsh it is and strive to outwit it.

We're is the fun if I only strive in clime with no challenges.
Not all geniuses are all-rounders and Not all all-rounders are geniuses.A genius is someone who is like a god in one particular area and he is so good at it that he can think outside the box to solve a problem relating to such area. Everybody has his own area of genius. A good environment will only trigger it.

He can have it. That's all you know. Theories.

Manifest it less see.

If I strive in the wild like nigeria..and he fails. Then my i.q is definitely higher. It's you that don't get what i.q. is trying to detail.

Keep measuring, I will be in the sun working and figuring Nigeria out literarily. That's real I.q
For your mind you are smart because you crammed all the 1950 lecturer's notes abi?Keep dreaming man. That dude is smarter than you because he is a problem solver.

Bushiit!

If you were a geniuses and smarter than 99 percent of the population. You would not need a professor or a i.q text to figure it out. Its part of being a geniuses. You know stuffs.

If you are an even better geniuses you could have excelled even more in Nigeria giving you in a community of stupid people. It's a lot more easy.

You not a geniuses.

A geniuses will strive in any climate. Not run to a climate that is succeeding already and claim geniusehood.

Your University was right. You in the third class categories.

From this comment you just made.Being ignorant is an understatement. Everybody is a genius in his/her own way. You just need the right environment to manifest it.Nobody knows everything. The funny thing is that this guy you called a third class will definitely have a higher IQ than yours based on this comment you made. cheesy

This age barrier is my greatest nightmare as I type though I am just two months shy of 36yrs. After serving Nigerian Navy for 16yrs, during which time I trained myself in the University, became a Chartered Accountant and currently pursuing my Masters Degree. I left the Navy to pursue my dream of working as an Accountant because I was in the Engineering branch while in the Navy. But two years later , I am still hunting for job. Nairalanders help me o
You made a very big mistake leaving the navy.Just because you are chartered does not mean anything.Don't go to the private sector! Trust me it is far too worse.
It is like you downgraded honestly.Look for federal jobs like customs ,FIRS etc.

TGM2015:
The first reason is to reduce number of applications as the labour market is saturated. Imagine getting millions of applications for an opening of less than 50. Some companies have gone further by stating year of graduation. You will see something like should have graduate not later than 2015.

Second reason is that, it is easier to blend young graduates to the culture and requirements of the job than older graduates. Like professionally brainwashing them to act/work in a particular way. It is very difficult to do that with someone with over 5 years life/work experience after graduation.

Third reasons is that, it is believed that the younger an entry level employee is, the more years he or she has to serve the company.

The good news now is that over the years the business world has now discovered that those philosophies of recruitment are not given the desire outcomes. In few years to come, companies, especially those international companies, will not be restricting recruitment by age. They have discovered that the older graduates are more loyal and experienced, and that they tend to give longer years of serving than the young graduates that statistics has shown to have an average of 2 years of service per company.
To hell with their stupid research. When someone is good at the job, he/she is good at it. As simple as that.
