Nnamdipapa: Why use "lomo eranko" for me when I never insulted you and was not even talking to you? Respect beget respect nau! It's because you don't understand the language. 'lomo ẹranko is metaphorical in that proverb, it has no direct connection to you. Anywhere or whatever circumstances that will warrant one to use the proverb, we use ọmọ eranko as the subject. What half literacy will do,ehn! Your understanding of that language is not deep, otherwise you'd know ọmọ eranko isn't you per ṣe. |

The OP, we should be about the same age. I remember I was little then, too, when we were hearing those rumors of Garri and Mango being suicidal. I didn't do any of those.
But then there was the rumour of killer beans flying around about the same time but I love beans so much I couldn't resist the urge to eat. My kid brother and I would hide and go eat beans. My brother would let me eat first, after waiting to see if anything would happen, he'd then eat his. My mum never knew we were experimenting behind her. Growing up was fun! |

This is not the first time yoruba news from Brazil and Cuba, both having yoruboid affiliations, were brought to nairaland so what's the heck? You can't even see yorubas claiming Chidinma like it's a trophy. Even though, she is partly yoruba, no one care because we aren't insecure and we are not the targets of south African madness They're just an insecure set of human beings. Very pained that the second in the world is bearing chidinma as her name, they have to find a way to attachee by force the dressing of the first.
What is wrong with us in this part of the country?
They will still claim the second as their daughter, that her surname Adetshina is from Ondo, and claim the 3rd, 4th, 5th and all the contestants as being from their region.
Again,
What is wrong with some of us? Clearly, you are the one that needs an intervention. Ori yin, o ti gbalẹ! Ọpọlọ yin o ti melt. Education › Re: This Could Have Brought Us Together But Ended Up Breaking Us The More. by placeofallure(f): 6:11pm On Nov 18, 2024 |
Sonnobax15: Good day my fellow Nairalanders......Hope y'all are having a nice day + flexing on the harmattan season that's already gotten it's aroma allover the place?
So, recently,I was added to my primary school WhatsApp group......It's been over 20 years since we left primary school and it was indeed a good time to have a flashback of the memories of how and who we used to be back then as kids, under the same roof of the same classroom as classmates....
The reason for the reunion came about as a result of the fact that one of our classmates was about getting married....It was indeed a fun-filled moment as we were already vibing and reminiscing on our past
Suddenly,I began to notice how some guys were showcasing and boasting about how they have made it in life.....Some were even posting pictures of their expensive cars and beautiful houses....I was really happy for them,at least for seeing those whom I grew up with making it to the top...It actually gave me joy as I hoped to make it like them someday too
But then again, what really killed my joy was when one of them started to call out the names of those who used to take from the first to third positions in class ...The annoying part was that he sent it via voice note and was like mocking us about not being successful yet like those of them who were considered as the dullards back then in school.....I felt really pissed off😡. The fun was brutally murdered instantly and I began to notice how many people started to exit the group one after the other 😔. I wasn't left out cuz I also made sure I dusted my shoes and left too before they would post the pictures of me riding my keke ...what was supposed to bring us together only ended up disintegrating us further and made us felt like we were losers . As a matter of fact, I've vowed never to be a member of any WhatsApp group from henceforth . Cuz it seems these guys are only out to add more pains to people's depression
Have anyone experienced this kind of scenario before? In life, all fingers are not equal and they'll never be. Some will be brilliant, some will not Some will be eloquent, some will not Some will be rich, some will not Some will have children, some will not Some will be successful, some will not, and it goes on and on. Some, infact many, will not be sensitive to this lest they be careful and show restraint while talking. They're the people I call Èèyàn Òfò. I was added to my school WhatsApp group too but I'm a passive member. I don't respond or react to anything. Even the ones that tried to chat me up personally, I don't respond. I was last active when they were trying to bring people together, I gave names of people I could remember. When I noticed they were more of party and events, I reclined. We have different goals in life, my goals do not align with theirs, so.... I'm only still there because mi o f'ẹjọ wẹwẹ, mi o r'aye aroye. I don't want them to kill me with calls. I wish these ones would give me a valid reason to leave just like yours. |

Nonexisting: I can imagine the mugu that sits in his car for 10minutes before going into his house all because of a bad wife, dancing on his wedding day, shinning his brown teeth and asking his unmarried friends the most foolish question on this current earth today "what are you waiting for?". One fool who asked him that question when I attended his wedding, I had to return home with the envelope I came with and never gave him shishi. Because you didn't give him shishi, he has died abi, or his marriage has scattered? Some of you attach too much importance to yourselves, that's the issue. Self-aggrandizement, much ado about nothing! There's nothing perfect in life; there'll always be grey areas. As women are not perfect, so also are men. I love my husband. I love him because he knows I'm not perfect, but he's willing to teach, correct, and nurture. I do the same to him. His weakness is my strength and vice versa. Marriage is only for mature people who won't run to third parties like family, friends, or social media at the drop of a pin. Leave your friend and his wife alone. That is their truth; let them live it! |
