Story story. Somethin dat is not real will not last. If God is not with d church, it would not have lasted dis long, as was said in d bible, any who falsely claim to follow Christ will self destruct. Catholics should never be offended wit all these evil n uninformed criticisms for even Jesus Christ was accused of witch craft n gettin His powers from d devil. So nothing do us.

Islam is getting stronger day by day, church of satan is growing stronger everyday. Does it by anyway show that God is with them? When people claim that catholic is getting stronger on account that God is with it, i quickly refer to them other sects that are even stronger.

Come to think of it, heavenly race is not by multitude, it is an individual race.

Broad and wide is the way that leads to destruction and many, even multitude are found in it. I advise you to choose the narrow way for eternal life and happiness.

You have used the old testament to show why people can clap hands in church now, even though that was not 'church'. If it were me that brought a verse like that, you'll say 'where did they write church there?'

But since u'v brought us to the old testament, let's stay there for a while. In Jeremiah 16:1,2, God tells Jeremiah not to marry or have kids.
Are you okay now?

You are saying you don't know about church marriage, that anyone can do what they like about that; because its not only Catholics that believe in or partake in that. You also believe/partake in it. If it were only Catholics, you'll start shouting "its not biblical!" "Its a sin". Does this not show that your sole agenda is to discredit the Catholic Church?

So what about the other things (out of the 7) I mentioned that are not in the bible. . . Are they sinful? Should we stop them because they were not written in the Bible?
Bold 1) Jeus told us during his sermon on the Mount: "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill" (Matthew 5:17).

He even tells us to not even think such a thing. there are laws of the old testament he replaced, u should know them.

(Luke 5:14) And he charged him to tell no man: but go, and shew thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing, according as Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them.

See the bold, the Moses law still valid and Christ respected it. So why wont i make use of the old testament?

Bold 2) was this specific or universal? Did God call the Bishops not to marry? if u re to match it.

An example of a specific convenant Numbers 25:10-13

10 The LORD said to Moses, 11 “Phinehas son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, the priest, has turned my anger away from the Israelites. Since he was as zealous for my honor among them as I am, I did not put an end to them in my zeal. 12 Therefore tell him I am making my covenant of peace with him. 13 He and his descendants will have a covenant of a lasting priesthood, because he was zealous for the honor of his God and made atonement for the Israelites.”

U will not tell me this convenant is universal, do not take a specifit case to be a universal one.

I think you should pick a dictionary and look-up the meanings of 'INIQUITY' and 'REBUKE', then read the verses again. After doing these, come back and tell me whether Judas and Peter sinned or not, and whether Jesus rebuked them or not.

If you don't know whether the bible condemns eating eggs and someone's telling you so without having proved it yet, you shouldn't deny it; you should simply say 'I DONT KNOW'. Why are you ashamed to admit weakness? Why should you be denying when you don't know?

People who don't know LISTEN and LEARN; they don't teach.
When i say Jesus didn't rebuked them, i mean the deny, sell of him by Judas, he could ve rebuked them by telling peter Judas, u must not sell me i beg u, stop that devil in ur heart, same apply to Peter. but they all happen because it is in fulfillment. Sure he stoped peter for the cutting of ear, that is not my auguement.

1 John 1:8-10: "if we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we say we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us"

Jesus, in the story of Lazarus and the rich man in Luke 16, has the rich man referring to Abraham as "father" several times. Paul, in Romans chapter 4, refers to Abraham as the "father" of the uncircumcised, the Gentiles. That's referring to spiritual fatherhood, not biological fatherhood.

In Acts 7:1-2, Stephen, referred to the Jewish authorities and elders who were about to stone him as brothers and "fathers," as does Paul in Acts, chapter 22. This is referring to spiritual fatherhood. So, if you interpret Matthew 23 as saying we cannot call anyone our spiritual father, then you have a problem with Jesus, Paul, Stephen, and the Holy Spirit, they must have all gotten it wrong.
(matt 23:12) And whoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted.

Scary "christians" on this thread, claiming to be without sin. You really don't know how you come across. Trying to discredit the Catholic church by all means. It's very laughable.

OP; it will be interesting to know what church you attend, if any.
(Same chick on the infant baptism thread. How shocking (!) )

What's the big deal about bishops not marrying? Can't the church make their own rules/bend existing rules? If they feel bishops having families will be a distraction, then so be it. Personally, I imagine it will be. Imagine a married monk for example. How will he be able to pray, etc and still have time to raise a family? It's common sense. And if you can't see this, or refuse to see it-cos of your silly beef with the Catholic church then you are on your own.

Feel free to come to whatever conclusion you want to cos you clearly did not make this topic to discuss/learn/share anything, but rather to prove even further that you a big hyprocrite with nothing better to do with your time than to start topics on issues that are not issues at all. Please pick contradicting stuff out the bible and discuss. Discuss real issues.

Funny how Catholics barely bother themselves about you people. We have more important issues to focus on, thank you.

Anyways, 2mch has summarised my thoughts on this. Doubt there's anything left to say.

Not worth discussing any further.
The "sin" subject has nothing to do with this thread as regard the topic.

If u say i ve nothing better to do with my time for creating a thread like this, then for u Replying the thread at all, have put u in same shoe.

U and i know tht In 1079 AD, celibacy was for the very first time enforced on priests and bishops by Pope Gregory VII. Priest and Bishops were permitted to marry before this time. Which means, the church decide to indulge in self doctrines.

Didnt the Holy Spirit warn that "forbidding to marry" is a "doctrine of demons"? See what the scripture says:

(1 Timothy4:1-3) 1 The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. 2 Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. 3 They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth.

Is this condemnation from God or not? Paul said in (1 Corinthians 7:8-9) I say therefore to the (1)unmarried and widows,(2) it is good for them if they abide even as I.

9But if they cannot contain, let them marry: (3)for it is better to marry than to burn.

Don't we have the right to take a believing wife along with us, as do the other apostles and the Lord's brothers and Cephas? (1 Corinthians 9:5)

Does the verses here prohibits Priest and Bishops from marrying? NO

So why should a man just wake up and creat this law that contradic the bible? U are telling me as if i am the bible. If all men choosed to become priest and Bishops will u ve existed? Were they not born by someone. Yes it wouldn't be a matter if it was a personal decition.

Hi All,

I am new to this forum and have been following this thread somewhat with intrigue. Firstly according to the original question in the title, the Catholic church DID NOT author the Bible. It may have authored some things that they have cannonised but not the Holy Bible. The Dead Sea scrolls for example confirms some of the original text in the Bible and this existed long before the Catholic Church was conceived of. If you should read the Preface to the original KJV version of the Bible you will see a note from the translators which pointed to the fact that the Pope at the time opposed the work of translating the Bible so it could be available to the common people. Back then the Bible was either in its original languages or in Latin that only Popes, priest, cardinals etc could read.

In my view the Catholic Church is anti-christian and the office of the pope is anti-christ. If you read the Catechisms of the catholic church you will see that most if not all of them directly contridicts the position of Holy Writ. If anyone don't believe study them for yourselves and see. The catholic church claims apostolic succession to Peter but Peter was never a pope of Rome - Peter did not have a chair neither was he given pre-eminence over his fellow disciples and the church. There is no evidence in scripture that Peter even visited Rome so this one claim for me was built on a lie - the central lie that the catolic church is built on. Nothing of the papacy and the Vatican resembles the church of Jesus Christ. In fact most of the practices of the catholic church is steeped in paganism. The monstrance for example is a reference to sun worship although cloaked with christianity to be used in the Eucharist. The Eucharist is also a form of ritual magic which is what transubstantiation represents. The Mary that they venerate is not really Mary the real Mother of God but the pagan representation of Isis with her baby Horus - this idea of the queen of Heavne is ancient - she is mentioned in Jeremiah and this is who the backsliding Jews were worshipping in Jermiah's day (see Jeremiah 7:18, 44:17, 44:18, 44:19, 44:25). The problem is that lay catholics do not know the truth about the their church so anything said against it will be met with kneejerk reactions rather than empircal evidence. More to come.
Some points u mentiond will be treated one after the other. I strongly agree u ve made good writes as per this topic. God bless u!

@plappville,

I'm sorry, but before I started this argument, I asked you if it was the truth you sought. You said "yes". But your statements show to me that you have blocked your mind and that you only believe what you want to believe no matter what proof is shown you to the contrary.

If you can say that a man who cut of another's ear did not sin, then what can I show you in the Bible that will make you see the truth. This goes to show why you people commit atrocities and still say "I'm born-again" "I don't sin"

In Acts 1:18, Peter said about Judas, "now this man purchased a field with the reward of INIQUITY. . ."

In Matt 26:24: Jesus says: "the Son of man goes as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! It had been good for that man if he had not been born".

In Matt 26: 52-54, Jesus said to Peter after he cut off the man's ear "put back your sword into its place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. Do you think that I cannot now pray to my Father and he will give me more than 12legions of angels? But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that so it must be"
But you are saying that Jesus didn't rebuke them because they didn't sin.
This just shows that what you seek is not the TRUTH.
You keep shouting "where is it in the Bible" and then I take the pain to search it for you only to find out that what you
believe is not what is in the Bible, you only believe what is in you head.
I said i cant say they sinned because i ve not seen these verses that told it. Like i said befor, we learn each day from each other, i will be the last to qoute something not found in the bible, thats why i prefare not to conclude about if they sinned or not. When i said Jesus didnt rebuke them, i meant it. His death was said to happen, if Jesus shoukd ve rebuked them, he will not use the word, u will bethrey me, or u will deny me. He knew what the futere would become and yet he allowed it, it shows
his death is the fullfillment. Jesus could them for example: Judas, u must not betrey me, he has all the power to rebuke his
death but he didnt.

To the bold #1) If u do not know if the bible conderms eating egg and someone telling u so without proving the verse, wont u
deny it until u are clear? Now tgat u ve come out for the first with a biblical verse that really point to something, why wont i accept it from u. I will take note of those verse anyway.

Bold #2) Why do u ve the habit of miss reading people and stamp them with wrong stamps? U ll read me back soon, i cant write forther, its hard with phone.

But the question is when they did this who were they worshiping? The passage said the LORD their God. No problem with that. This happened eons of years before Islam came on the scene.

What has that got to do with Islam? If muslims also bow down before their god, that is also OK for them. The question is Deut 18 does not in any way refer to Mohammed. The evidence is so overwhelming but you guys refuse to admit it.

Lagosshia mentioned that Jesus was talking about people like yourselves who today make use of drums and dance like the pagans in worship. So muslims do not use drums and dance in their worship? How about YOMBAS and ANJINA (forgive the spelling if I got wrong) singing and dancing with drums on TV singing to Mohammed ( Ejo ijo Anabi?)
the question is when they did this who were they worshiping?
Good question! They just have no value for their book, all they do is using the bible because the bible is the only true word of God.

Uplawal and Bashy-Demy, Jews also bow their heads to the ground so this is not a way of worship that is peculiar to muslims. The Jews started it eons of years before the muslims copied it.

So all your bible passages just confirm that the Jews did it in the day of old and still do it till today. As Christians though like I mentioned, since we are not Jews and we have another covenant. If a Christian so desires he can bow face down and worship and pray or lift his hands up or raise his head up,

Freedom! Our prayers are still answered not following ritualistic ways of praying.

It is not sin for a man to prefer the friendship of men or for a woman to prefer the friendship of women.
It is sin when the intimate barrier is crossed. This is no different than married people havin" sex with anyone other than their spouses. both homosexuality and adultery are equal abominations to the ourLord God almighty.

Every believer wants to be like God, deciding right and wrong and doing what is right in their own eyes.
That should sound familiar.

Abstain from it, rebuke it and make the devil sad.

(ROM 6:12)Therefore, never let sin rule your physical body so that you obey its desires.
Islam › Muhammed And Joseph Smith. by plappville(op): 3:40pm On Dec 13, 2011
"even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed" Gal 1:8

Similarities

The followers of Muhammad and Joseph Smith both killed innocent "infidel" on the same date of 9/11. On September 11, 1857, Mormon militia massacred about 140 men, women and children under the authority of Brigham Young. However 17 very young children were spared and adopted into Mormon families. They were in fact sold to the highest Mormon family bidder and resold and traded many times afterwords. This event is called "The Mountain Meadows" massacre. Mormon leaders engaged in a deliberate rewriting of history to deny they were behind the murders. On September 11, 2001 Muhammad's followers, using the Koran as a guide, sent two airplanes into the World Trade Center killing 3000 innocent men, women and children. Muslims today have a PhD in rewriting history and preach in the mosques that Jews were actually driving the planes, not Muslim terrorists.
Both were visited by an angel. Joseph Smith was visited by the angel "Moroni" and Muhammad by Gabriel. Galatians 1:6-9 says, "I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel; 7 which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you, and want to distort the gospel of Christ. 8 But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to that which you received, let him be accursed."
Both were given visions.
Both were told that no true religion existed on the earth. In the published account of his life, Joseph Smith related that he became very disturbed when he was a youth because of the "strife among the different denominations," and this "cry and tumult" led him to ask God "which of all the sects were right — and which I should join." He was told that he must "join none of them, for they were all wrong, that all their creeds were an abomination in his sight; that those professors were all corrupt, " (Pearl of Great Price, Joseph Smith 2:8-19) N. J. Dawood says that Mohammed was also concerned with the fact that the Jews and Christians had "divided themselves into schismatic sects." In the scriptures given by Mohammed, we read: "Yet the Sects are divided concerning Jesus, Truly, the unbelievers are in the grossest error." (The Koran, translated by N. J. Dawood, Surah 19, p. 34) In Surah 30, page 190, this warning appears: "Do not split up your religion into sects, each exulting in its own beliefs." In Surah 3, page 398, we read: "The only true faith in Allah's sight is Islam. Those to whom the Scriptures [i.e., Jews and Christians] were given disagreed among themselves through jealousy only after knowledge had been given them."
Both were to restore the long lost faith as the one true religion. Islam makes claim that Adam and Abraham were Muslims, a claim that is as ridiculous as it is undocumented from either history or archaeology. Mormons make the unsubstantiated claim that the church in the first century were Mormon.
Both wrote a book inspired by God.
Both claimed to be illiterate or uneducated and used this as proof the book was inspired. "How could an illiterate man write the Koran or the Book of Mormon?" Joseph Smith is claimed to have only grade three education.
Both claimed the Bible was lost, altered, corrupted and unreliable.
Both claimed their holy book was the most correct and perfect book on earth.
Both claimed that their new "Bible" was based upon a record stored in heaven. With Islam, it is the "mother book" that resides in heaven with God. With Mormonism, it is the golden Nephi plates that the angel Moroni took back to heaven.
Both claim that the version we have in our hands today are identical to what the prophet revealed and that parts are not lost, altered and corrupted. Of course the proof that these claims are invalid is found in two books. The Mormon claim is proven false by a book called "3913 Changes to Book of Mormon" by Sandra Tanner. The Islamic claim is proven false by a book (In Arabic language) called, "Making Easy the Readings of What Has Been Sent Down" by Muhammad Fahd Khaaruun. Both books show that the copy of the book of Mormon and the Koran used today is different from what was originally used when each religion was started.
Both claimed to be a final prophet of God.
Both claimed they were persecuted because of their pure faith.
Both were polygamists who had many wives.
Both borrowed from paganism/polytheism. Muhammad incorporated that polytheistic moon god called "Allah" and "Allah's three daughters" into Islam. Basically Muhammad chose Allah from within 350 known gods that were worshipped in Arabia and proclaimed the moon god to be the greatest and only God. Smith borrowed from a doctrine called "pyramidology" and the Masons and other magic systems.
Both received "after the fact corrective revelations" from God. Muhammad retracted the Satanic verses and Mormons retracted Smith's divine order mandating polygamy. But for Mormons it there is even a closer parallel. Sounds exactly like Muhammad and his satanic verses.
"As many false reports have been circulated respecting the following work, and also many unlawful measures taken by evil designing persons to destroy me, and also the work, I would inform you that I translated by the gift and power of God, and caused to be written, one hundred and sixteen pages, the which I took from the Book of Lehi, which said account, some person or persons have stolen and kept from me, notwithstanding my utmost exertions to recover it again — and being commanded of the Lord that I should not translate the same over again, for Satan had put it into their hearts to tempt the Lord their God, by altering the words, that they did read contrary from that which I translated and caused to be written; and if I should bring forth the same words again, or, in other words, if I should translate the same over, they would publish that which they had stolen, and Satan would stir up the hearts of this generation, that they might not receive this work: but behold, the Lord said unto me, I will not suffer that Satan shall accomplish his evil design in this thing: therefore thou shalt translate from the plates of Nephi, until ye come to that which ye have translated, I will shew unto them that my wisdom is greater than the cunning of the Devil." (Book of Mormon, 1830 edition, Preface)
Immediately after the death of Muhammad and Smith, a fight broke out from among the "faithful converts" as to who would succeed Muhammad and Smith. Both groups were plunged into irreparable division that has endured ever since. Islam and Mormonism both have squabbles among themselves as to who is the one true splinter group of their prophet!
Mormons, contrary to the Bible, "baptize the dead" by gathering genealogies of all men who lived on earth. This contradicts the Bible: "But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and strife and disputes about the Law, for they are unprofitable and worthless." Tit 3:9 While the Bible says avoid focusing in Genealogies, the Mormon church makes it their central focus of mission. Mormons have even been criticized for baptizing, by proxy, the Jews had died in Nazi Holocaust camps. When lists of genealogies are collected, living Mormons are baptized, on behalf of, those on the lists, who have already died. In this way, Mormons view every man who lived, as being Mormons. In the same way Muslims claim that all men are born Muslims and when they learn the truth of Christianity, they are apostatizing from their first faith. Muslims re-write history by proclaiming Jesus and the Apostles were Muslims in a similar way Mormons baptize Jews (for example) with the expectation they will be Mormons in the next life. Yet gathering of large genealogical lists no more makes dead people Mormons in the next life, than re-writing history makes Jesus into a Muslim.
Both the Islam and Mormon religions have those who follow the "original doctrine" of the founding leaders and like these founding leaders, are violent, polygamists, and have revelations justifying their evil actions.
Both Muslims and Mormons (and Jehovah's Witnesses) have progressive revelation. Jw's call it "new light". Muslims call it "Nasikh". Jehovah's Witnesses were once instructed to celebrated Christmas, birthdays and salute the flag, but "new light" changed all that. Mormons like all Muslims, were originally polygamists until "The Manifesto" against polygamy came as a revelation to John Taylor, over 40 years after Smith's death, on the eve of the US government outlawing the practice of polygamy. New revelation always replaces older revelation that became inconvenient to the prophet.

First of all, there's no point telling me that 'our Lords prayer' does not encourage sinning daily. I already know that and that is not the arguement.:(I hear sir/ma!)What I am proving to you is that everybody sins; whether born-again or not, whether daily, hourly or weekly. :We are exposed to sin, but that doesn't means we submit to it each time it comes. No one is free from the temptation of sin, bu, those who choosed to follow Christ Sshould not sin. it mus come to tempt, but God gave us power to rebuke it. yr shall be holy unto me, if u week to sin, how can u be holy unto him.

And did I hear you say the Apostles were not sinners while they were with him. Do yourself a favour: if you don't know something, you ask. Peter denied God three times, he cut off a man's ear, Judas sold God out for 30pieces of silver, James and John wanted to bring down thunder to kill people, Thomas doubted the Lord's ressurection, and these are not sins? Wow!: This is not the sin we are talking about, Judas Iscariot action was to fulfillment. Peter did what he did to protect his master etc, the bible didn't state thier actions as sinners, so i will not say that. Jesus already told them what will happen and how each of them will behave, did he rebuke them? no so it all are surposed to be like that.

*I was asking him if he was born of God and he couldn't say YES or NO because he (and you) knew I would ask if he had ever sinned since he became born of God. And he knows he sins daily but he's ashamed to admit it (you too), that's why you refuse to answer my simple 'YES or NO' questions:::Telling someone he sinned when u have no proof of his sins can label u a sinner, u do not know him nor me, u asked us questions, i personally gave u a verse from the bible that suits your question, u turn back and labelled me a sinner bacause i ve not danse as u wanted. No curse for alarm, u can say that again.

@Italo, did all Bishops choosed to be celibate? is this not a prohibited law from the above?, U and i know the bible didn't conderm it, its surposed to be a self decision thing. If one cannot hold himself then abstain from it.

Ok let me ask u, someone that will like to become a bishop, but would not agree to be celibate, will he be accepted and embraced by the catholic doctrine?

Nothing is wrong with copying from the Catholic web, the only thing is that, its bringing back same excuses as usual. No one on earth today was on earth in the past 150yrs back. So whatever we disccuss and use as point in backing up our claims are all read by us.
Without the bible, we wont know if Jesus existed, i mean without the words recoreded by his Disciples. We are all learners each passing day.

1. There should not be choirs in church.
2. No ushers/wardens
3. No weddings in church
4. Pastors should not be called to pray for people at their burial.
5. No youth groups in church
6. No clapping in the church
7. Usher should not prohibit people from sleeping in church. . .
Christians have to worship the lord according to how the bible instructed us.
Nothing is wrong in clapping hands for the lord, He loves it, the hands make a very beautiful sound of music if well coordinated.

Psalm 47:1-2 says, "Clap your hands", all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy. How awesome is the LORD Most High, the great King over all the earth!"

Psalm 150:3-5 says, "Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and flute, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals."

I believe partaking in Gods work in the church is a gift, one cannot work in the house of God if he/she does not ve that gift. God love when we dedicate ourselves for his service, as for Church marriage, i don't know bout that. If any one wish to do it in Church, i believe its for his Glory, not by force.

Lagosshia after reading this translation from this website and the commentatry (http://www.quranenglish.com/tafheem_quran/053.htm) Even the narrators are not sure who the one awesome in power is (Gabriel or Allah). They leaned on gabriel as the one who was all mighty and powerful (another fallacy on their part) but accepted in this regard to be the one who reveals.

I stand to be corrected, Does Mohammed know God face to face, does he interact with God mouth to mouth?

Even you Lagosshia were not happy with him quoting the surah 53 and stopping at verse 10. You said if he read all the way to verse 18 you will get a better picture.

I will also say that using Deut 18, start from verse 15 all the way to the end to get the exact picture of that prophesy. Would you do that for me?

so what is left that is common between Jesus and Moses? both were Jews.that is no similarity at all.because if we accept that, then Isaiah,Elijah, and many more were also jews and we can then apply deuteronomy 18:18 for them.

U just said our faith is SaTaNiC Because ur 3 goddess were rejected? now let see who has the Stanic of worship:

The fallen stones from heaven NL MUSLIMS trace ur gods.according to history.

@bashy-demy, u must know today that, the most important triple aspect of ur goddess is her manifestation as
Virgin/Mother/Crone. those three goddesses were, in certain places, represented
by meteorites/aeroliths, stones that had fallen from heaven, just as ur Kaaba stone in Mecca.

(Ibid, 52.) Merlin Stone notted that in Aphrodite’s temple in Cyprus a certain stone was anointed by oil each year at the feast of the goddess.
The same stone worship was conducted at Baalat’s temple at Byblos. (As ALLAT
was the feminine version of "Allah" ur god, so was Baalat the feminine version of Baal.)

goddess (1) :                                Al-Lat
Al-Lat, the female version of the Aramaic Allah, was the ‘Lady of the
Temple’ at the Semitic Pantheon of Palmyra, frequently mentioned in sources
from ancient periods. Her cult was shared by the tribes of Bene Maazin and
Bene Nurbel in that city.

The former tribe provided the guardians for her sanctuary, which was established after the Nabatean
occupation of Syria, including Damascus, in 85 BCE. Al-Lat was the mother goddess (al-Ilahah),
representing the "SUN"Mother figure among the gods and goddesses, the great earth Mother of
ancient mythology, and the Astarte of the Arabs.

goddess (2):Al-Uzza

Al-Uzza was brought to Mecca by the Quraysh and enjoined to the already established Kaaba worship, but she probably was a local deity in Mecca since the time of ‘Amr ibn Lubayy. In Ur prophet "Muhammed’s" time,
She was the most important of the Meccan local deities, and was save for ‘the Lord’ Hubal

goddess(3):Manat

Manat is to the Arabs’ original goddess, appearing some time
before al-Uzza and al-Lat. Her name appears in the house of Baal in 32 CE, but
she originated much earlier among the Arabs. Manat seems to have arrived in
Arabia from Palmyra, where she was worshipped along with Baal. She was
venerated beside several other deities in a temple called ‘the house of the gods,’
(Teixidor, The Pantheon of Palmyra 3, 12-18 — The Pagan god, 116.) the Palmyran
equivalent of the Kaaba. Manat was the controller of the Arabs’ fortunes and
the mystery of life and death. She was the chief deity of al-Aus and al-Khazraj
and other pagan inhabitants of Yathrib (Medina). She was
represented by a wooden image, which was covered in blood during her
worship.

Does the word still honour the goddess worship methods today? lets see:

The Quraysh adopted Allah as Baal, and added the goddesses to his cult the same way as Baal had three daughters in the Fertile Crescent. They venerated him and his three female companions in his new
House, the Kaaba at Mecca.

One of the aspects of goddess worship that has survived in "Islam", as well as,for example, in Roman "Catholicism", is the rosary. Through the ages the worshippers of goddesses had used the rosary for prayers and it is still in use in
the worship of female deities all over the world, for example by Hindus in
"India".

The rosary is connected with fertility worship when the deity’s name is repeated over and over again.
(Compare to Matthew 6:7-13 and Acts 19:34.) It is called tasbih or subha in Arabic, and simply means ‘an object which one praises.’ The Muslim rosary is supposed to contain 99 beads, representing the
titles of ‘Allah’, but usually it only has 33 beads, slipped through one’s fingers
three times. (Compare to the Koran 7:180.) This pagan custom, which is dated
to Astarte worship from about 800 BCE, still survives in Islam as well as in many other cults around the world.

(mathew6:7-cool7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

(acts 19:34) But when they found out that he was a Jew, they all started to shout in unison for about two hours, "Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!"

Proo212: brother, Ahmed Deedat's argument does not hold water for Deut 18.
Muslims will do anything to brainwash people. Dont be surprised by this whole this came directly from them.

This Reverend gentleman was expounding Biblical prophecies. He went on to prove that the Christian Bible foretold the rise of Soviet Russia, and the Last Days. At one stage he went to the extent of proving that his Holy Book did not leave even the Pope out of its predictions. He expatiated vigorously in order to convince his audience that the Beast 666 mentioned in The Book of Revelation, the last book of the New Testament, was the Pope, who was the Vicar of Christ on earth.
Christian scholars are ingenious and indefatigable in their efforts to prove their case. Rev. Hiten’s lectures led me to ask that if the Bible foretold so many things – not even excluding the “Pope” and “Israel”, – then surely it must have something to say about the greatest benefactor of mankind, prophet Muhammad, may the peace of Allah be upon him.
Another brainwashing, this time, its the Catholics, islam is the Serpent, his tongue is deciet, he uses Christians against Christians. Islam is Evil, we are not ignorant of This.

If we look into the words "from the midst of thee" is certainly genuine. The meaning is clear. Even as true that Ishmael was Isaac's half-brother, despite the way he came in, but, if the Ishmaelites may be called the brethren of Israel, assuredly, the Israelite tribes may more correctly be called one another's brethren. (Compare[1], surah 7:83, "their brother Shu'aib."wink Israelites are called one another's brethren in this very book of Deuteronomy, e.g., in chapters 3:18; 15:7; 17:15; 24:14. In ch. 17:15 we have an exactly parallel passage in reference to the appointment of a king: "one from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee. "If we look deeply into History, we see that the kingdoms of Europe are ruled by kings who belong to families. Back to History, we never hear of the Israelites appointing over themselves a foreigner as king. If its done, They should have gone to the Ishmaelites for their kings, if the moslim explanation of "from among their brethren" in Deut. 18:18 is correct.
They did not do so, they understand their own language. the Taurat clearly says that no prophet was to be expected from Ishmael, for God's covenant was made with Isaac, not with him (Gen. 17:18-21; 21:10-12). If u feel like reading to get the feltish hope off your mind, better for u.

The kuran also, with his false commands,  speaks of the prophetic office as having been entrusted to Isaac's seed (Surah 29:27; Surah 45:15). Although we do not need the Koran to know this. The promised prophet was to be sent unto Israel, but Muhammad professed to be sent to the Arabians among whom he was born. As for a likeness to Moses, we learn from Deut. 34:10-12, that the two points in which the Israelites expected the coming prophet to resemble Moses were: (I) personal knowledge of God, Moha has not it: and (2) mighty works. As regards the "former"(Moses), is there not a tradition that mohammad said, "we ve not known thee in the truth of Thy knowledge (or 'as Thou shouldest be known')"? With reference to mighty works,[2] the koran tells us that mohammad was not[3] given the power of working miracles a Surah 17:61: see Baidawi's and Abbasi's commentaries: Surahs 2:112; 6:37,57,109; 7:202; 10:21; 13:8,30wink Yet he is a prophet? What prophet that was not given the power of working Miracles? God has change and become weak over night!

Did your prophet know the Lord face to face? Deut 34:10 says 10And there has not arisen a prophet since in Israel like Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face, Another reason why Mohammed is not like Moses

Also Numbers 12:5-8 says 5And the LORD came down in a pillar of cloud and stood at the entrance of the tent and called Aaron and Miriam, and they both came forward. 6And he said, "Hear my words: If there is a prophet among you, I the LORD make myself known to him in a vision; I speak with him in a dream. 7Not so with my servant Moses. He is faithful in all my house. 8With him I speak mouth to mouth, clearly, and not in riddles, and he beholds the form of the LORD. Why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?" Can you see another glaring example why Mohammed is not that prophet. I thought Angel Jibril always brought the revelations to Mohammed, he never spoke to God face to face. Please prove me wrong in your quran.

But if you go to Acts 3:22-24, Apostle Peter referred to the same Deut 18:15 till the end. So my brother, Ahmed Deedat's argument does not hold water for Deut 18.
U must know that the koran says tht mohammad was not blessed with the power of working miracles (Surah 17:61: see Baidawi's and Abbasi's commentaries: Surahs 2:112; 6:37,57,109; 7:202; 10:21; 13:8,30; 29:49,50) A shameful way to hid the falsehood.

‘O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man hath touched me?’ The angel says in reply: ‘Even so, Allah createth what He willeth: when He hath decreed a plan, He but saith to it ‘Be’, and it is’ (the Holy Quran, 3:47).
Tell me what sense does it make to have copied the Bible? Evrything written in the kuran was copied. Mohammed had read from the deut 18: and believed he could by forced himself to fits in counting on Ishmael the child that came through the slave Egpytian, and was sent away because they dont belong in the recognized descendant. God is not wicked, but removed confusion in from His people.

Yet the devil is still pressing out this confusion, only ignorant will ever be confused with the devil stratagie.

Tell me again how natural was the death Of mohammed that u ve compered it with Moses? Do u know what it means to die a natural death? Jesus mother is one to count on, they go to sleep not struggle with death.

This has nothing to do with similarities. Come to count on miracles. How did God speak to Mohammed? God stricked Moses sister with Leprousy because of the relationship he has with Moses, he dialogue with him like face to face, no angel was inbetween them.

Did Mohammed had this too? Or the framed Angel Gabriel? U must fear God LagosShian.

Jesus rejected by his people

“Moses and Muhammad were accepted as prophets by their people in their very lifetime. No doubt the Jews gave endless trouble to Moses and they murmured in the wilderness, but as a nation, they acknowledged that Moses was a Messenger of God sent to them. The Arabs too made Muhammad’s life impossible. He suffered very badly at their hands. After 13 years of preaching in Mecca, he had to emigrate from the city of his birth. But before his demise, the Arab nation as a whole accepted him as the Messenger of Allah. But according to the Bible, “He (Jesus) Came unto his own, but his own revived him not”(John 1:11). And even today, after two thousand years, his people, the Jews, as a whole, have rejected him. Is this true?” The Dominee said: “Yes.” I said: “Therefore Jesus is not like Moses, but Muhammad is like Moses.”
Yes the Jews rejected Jesus, but if Mohammed fits in the Prohecy, why didnt they accept him as as they accepted Moses?
Did the Jews embrace Islam as the God's sent doctrine? So many things can make Moha fits in never mind.
Tell us the miraclous birth of Mohammed and the similar miracles he perfored as Moses. More are to be discussed!

Arabs and Jews

If Ishmael and Isaac are the sons of the same father Abraham, then they are brothers. And so the children of the one are the bretheren of the children of the other. The children of Isaac are the Jews and the children of Ishmael are the Arabs – so they are bretheren to one another. The Bible affirms: ‘And he (Ishmael) shall dwell in the presence of all his bretheren.’ (Genesis 16:12). ‘And he (Ishmael) died in the presence of all his bretheren.” (Genesis 25:18). The children of Isaac are the brethren of the Ishmaelites. In like manner Muhammad is from among the brethren of the Israelites because he was a descendant of Ishmael the son of Abraham. This exactly as the prophecy has it – “From among their bretheren” (Deut.18:18).
There the prophecy distinctly mentions that the coming prophet who would be like Moses, must arise not from the Children of Israel nor from among themselves, but from among their brethren. Muhammad therefore was among their bretheren!
All the Past Jewish prophets of God ever in serious war conflicts withing themselves? how was their relationship? Are what is brotherly today? Are the Arabs(ishmaelite) in brotherly with the Jews(Iseac/Israel) ? If Gos had wanted to use Ishmael, he has all the power to refused Abraham from Isaec. The generation of Israel cannot be diverted by a false interpretation of the Holy bible.
