He was, He has been, and He is still. No man can change or challenge the word of God almighty.
The divine word right from the creation of the word in the bible is the only word, outside it is False.

How about the Islamic temple the KAABA, its origin:
Muslim Kaaba=idol temple right from origin
Will Abraham build an idol temple for God=No
Is the Jewish History, or the Bible knew Islam will insert a lie on Abraham stay in Mecca? No
Did the book(kuran) written by an illiterate (Moha) know better than History? No
Does the route and travels of Abraham recorded in The Bible matched with what Mohammed recorded?=No
Kaaba= 360 idols installed for worshipping (the 3 godesses of Islam till date. Is called ALLAH.
Kaaba = The demons are still there, God cannot dwell in a place dedicated for Satan.
Musilm are worship Idols, they cant deny this, people Of God, be warned.

paris10:
If I may ask, who is a prophet? Moses was a prophet, Elijah and Elisha were both prophets. When you hear about the Bible talking about false prophets, literally, its talking about those prophets (Pastors) in your churches and around. Jesus was a prophet and a son at the same time. The Bible was written hundreds of years before the quran. The sheep in wolves clothing are todays false Pastors (there seem to be no more prophets in our midst).

The Mohammed thing is a forgone story. More than 300 years after the inception the Bible, some lunatic came up with a book and called it the book of Allah. Joseph Smith (Mormon) also wrote a book and have millions of followers till date. Mohammed and Joseph Smith both had a dream and received their so-called revelation under a tree. Millions of people have had dreams, does that make them a prophet too?

A spiritual book must be full of the spirit of God, devoid of violence and simplified.  Ishmael, a patriarch of the Ishmaelite, son of Hagar, was unaccepted by Abraham because a curse was placed upon him before his birth, "his hand would be against every
man, and every man 's hand against him" That explains the violence we see in Muslims. Yoruba Muslims are not real Muslims. They're confused people who thinks God is the same as Allah.

Back to the topic, was Mohammed the prophet Moses spoke of? Ans: Capital NO. All the prophets that came before Jesus never made mention of Mohammed nor do they know anyone by that name. The Bible is the book of Christians written by
people who were inspired by God. So acknowledging and saying Mohammed was  the false prophet the Bible talks about would mean admitting the existence of Mohammed in the Bible. Mohammed was nobody except to the Muslims. He had no

relationship, history or background that would link him with Jesus (unlike Moses, Elijah etc). In a nutshell, Mohammed couldn't have deceived any Christian because he was not part of them. Only false (Christian) prophets or Pastors would deceive a
Christian just like the ones we see these days.
To the bold: if u say they has thier dreams, created a book and had millions of ppl following them.
Do u think these kind of People would be able to arrive at this stage if not for Satan's aid?
They rose up Against Christ by saying Christ is not the way, they claim they are the way.

If u will ignore them as just passing by fellows, then u must be mistaking.
They ve done alot of distruction against the body of Christ, leading millions of soul astrayed, making them believe tbey are the true way. I ve enough prove to call them false prophets, becos that is what they are.
"Jesus said, if u are not for me, u are against me." false prophets are all in the air.

Reading the biblical verses concerning false prophets, the very first person that came to my mind is MOHA.
He so much fits in. The anti christ has a very large troop/crowd.
many are hidden using christ as their physical symbol, yet we can still figure them out with the help of the scripture.

The fact that thier names are not mentioned in the bible as they are known is not the issue.
The characteristics of a false prophet according to the bible, gave a clear definition of them.
They just cant hid it. The mark of the Beast is 666. Our socalled mohammed came 600 yrs later, whether this is accurate or not, what matters is that, its wroghly 600 year after Christ.

Paul says a bishop must be "the husband of one wife," and "must manage his own household well, keeping his children submissive and respectful in every way; for if a man does not know how to manage his own household, how can he care for God’s Church?" (1 Tim. 3:2, 4–5). This means, you argue, that it's unscriptural for a Church leader (bishop) not to marry.

This interpretation leads to obvious absurdities. For one, if "the husband of one wife" really meant that a bishop had to be married, then by the same logic "keeping his children submissive and respectful in every way" would mean that he had to have children. Childless husbands (or even fathers of only one child, since Paul uses the plural) would not qualify.

In fact, following this style of interpretation to its final absurdity, since Paul speaks of bishops meeting these requirements (present continuous tense), not of their having met them (past tense), it would even follow that an ordained bishop whose wife or children died would become unqualified for ministry! Clearly such excessive literalism must be rejected.

The theory that Church leaders must be married also contradicts the obvious fact that Paul himself, an eminent Church leader, was single and happy to be so. Unless Paul was a hypocrite, he could hardly have imposed a requirement on bishops which he did not himself meet. Consider, too, the implications regarding Paul’s positive attitude toward celibacy in 1 Corinthians 7: the married have worldly anxieties and divided interests, yet only they are qualified to be bishops; whereas the unmarried have single-minded devotion to the Lord, yet are barred from ministry! That would be unreasonable.

Clearly, the point of Paul’s requirement that a bishop be "the husband of one wife" is not that he must have one wife, but that he must have only one wife. Expressed conversely, Paul is saying that a bishop must not have unruly or undisciplined children (not that he must have children who are well behaved), and must not be married more than once (not that he must be married).

The truth is, it is precisely those who are uniquely "concerned about the affairs of the Lord" (1 Cor. 7:32), those to whom it has been given to "renounce marriage for the sake of the kingdom" (Matt. 19:12), who are ideally suited to follow in the footsteps of those who have "left everything" to follow Christ (cf. Matt. 19:27)—the calling of the clergy and consecrated religious (i.e., monks and nuns).

Thus Paul warned Timothy, a young bishop, that those called to be "soldiers" of Christ must avoid "civilian pursuits": "Share in suffering as a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No soldier on service gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to satisfy the one who enlisted him" (2 Tim. 2:3–4). In light of Paul’s remarks in 1 Corinthians 7 about the advantages of celibacy, marriage and family clearly stand out in connection with these "civilian pursuits."

An example of ministerial celibacy can also be seen in the Old Testament. The prophet Jeremiah, as part of his prophetic ministry, was forbidden to take a wife: "The word of the Lord came to me: ‘You shall not take a wife, nor shall you have sons or daughters in this place’" (Jer. 16:1–2). Of course, this is different from Catholic priestly celibacy, which is not divinely ordained; yet the divine precedent still supports the legitimacy of the human institution.

Although most people are at some point in their lives called to the married state, the vocation of celibacy is explicitly advocated—as well as practiced—by both Jesus and Paul.

Some think Paul is "commanding" marriage in 1 Corinthians 7, but in that very chapter Paul actually endorses celibacy for those capable of it: "To the unmarried and the widows I say that it is well for them to remain single as I am. But if they cannot exercise self-control, they should marry. For it is better to marry than to be aflame with passion" (7:8-9).

It is only because of this "temptation to immorality" (7:2) that Paul gives the teaching about each man and woman having a spouse and giving each other their "conjugal rights" (7:3); he specifically clarifies, "I say this by way of concession, not of command. I wish that all were as I myself am. But each has his own special gift from God, one of one kind and one of another" (7:6-7, emphasis added).

Paul even goes on to make a case for preferring celibacy to marriage: "Are you free from a wife? Do not seek marriage. . . those who marry will have worldly troubles, and I would spare you that. . . . The unmarried man is anxious about the affairs of the Lord, how to please the Lord; but the married man is anxious about worldly affairs, how to please his wife, and his interests are divided. And the unmarried woman or girl is anxious about the affairs of the Lord, how to be holy in body and spirit; but the married woman is anxious about worldly affairs, how to please her husband" (7:27-34).

Paul’s conclusion: He who marries "does well; and he who refrains from marriage will do better" (7:38).

Paul was not the first apostle to conclude that celibacy is, in some sense, "better" than marriage. After Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 19 on divorce and remarriage, the disciples exclaimed, "If such is the case between a man and his wife, it is better not to marry" (Matt 19:10). This remark prompted Jesus’ teaching on the value of celibacy "for the sake of the kingdom":

"Not all can accept this word, but only those to whom it is granted. Some are incapable of marriage because they were born so; some, because they were made so by others; some, because they have renounced marriage for the sake of the kingdom of God. Whoever can accept this ought to accept it" (Matt. 19:11–12).

Notice that this sort of celibacy "for the sake of the kingdom" is a gift, a call that is not granted to all, or even most people, but is granted to some. Other people are called to marriage.

Celibacy is neither unnatural nor unbiblical. "Be fruitful and multiply" is not binding upon every individual; rather, it is a general precept for the human race. Otherwise, every unmarried man and woman of marrying age would be in a state of sin by remaining single, and Jesus and Paul would be guilty of advocating sin as well as committing it.

Yet none of these passages give us an example of humanly mandated celibacy. Jeremiah’s celibacy was mandatory, but it was from the Lord. Paul’s remark to Timothy about "civilian pursuits" is only a general admonition, not a specific command; and even in 1 Corinthians 7 Paul qualifies his strong endorsement of celibacy by adding: "I say this for your own benefit, not to lay any restraint upon you, but to promote good order and to secure your undivided devotion to the Lord" (7:35).

This brings us to your thinking that by requiring at least some of its clerics and its religious not to marry, the Catholic Church forbids marriage.

In fact, the Catholic Church forbids no one to marry. No one is required to take a vow of celibacy; those who do, do so voluntarily. They "renounce marriage" (Matt. 19:12); no one forbids it to them. Any Catholic who doesn’t wish to take such a vow doesn’t have to, and is almost always free to marry with the Church’s blessing. The Church simply elects candidates for the priesthood (or, in the Eastern rites, for the episcopacy) from among those who voluntarily renounce marriage.

But is there scriptural precedent for this practice of restricting membership in a group to those who take a voluntary vow of celibacy? Yes. Paul, writing once again to Timothy, mentions an order of widows pledged not to remarry (1 Tim 5:9-16); in particular advising: "But refuse to enroll younger widows; for when they grow wanton against Christ they desire to marry, and so they incur condemnation for having violated their first pledge" (5:11–12).

This "first pledge" broken by remarriage cannot refer to previous wedding vows, for Paul does not condemn widows for remarrying (cf. Rom. 7:2-3). It can only refer to a vow not to remarry taken by widows enrolled in this group. In effect, they were an early form of women religious—New Testament nuns. The New Testament Church did contain orders with mandatory celibacy, just as the Catholic Church does today.

Such orders are not, then, what Paul meant when he warned against "forbidding to marry." The real culprits here are the many Gnostic sects through the ages which denounced marriage, sex, and the body as intrinsically evil. Some early heretics fit this description, as did the medieval Albigensians and Catharists (whom, ironically, some anti-Catholic writers admire in ignorance, apparently purely because they happened to have insisted on using their own vernacular translation of the Bible; see the Catholic Answers tract Catholic Inventions).

Most Catholics marry, and all Catholics are taught to venerate marriage as a holy institution—a sacrament, an action of God upon our souls; one of the holiest things we encounter in this life.

In fact, it is precisely the holiness of marriage that makes celibacy precious; for only what is good and holy in itself can be given up for God as a sacrifice. Just as fasting presupposes the goodness of food, celibacy presupposes the goodness of marriage. To despise celibacy, therefore, is to undermine marriage itself—as the early Fathers pointed out.

Celibacy is also a life-affirming institution. In the Old Testament, where celibacy was almost unknown, the childless were often despised by others and themselves; only through children, it was felt, did one acquire value. By renouncing marriage, the celibate affirms the intrinsic value of each human life in itself, regardless of offspring.

Celibacy is an eschatological sign to the Church, a living-out in the present of the universal celibacy of heaven: "For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven" (Matt. 22:30).

Finally, celibacy for priests is not a doctrine of the Church, but a discipline. You can compare it to when a Pastor says the choir members must dress in a particular way. It doesn't mean the Pastor is sinning because the Bible doesn't mention any dress code for Choirs. The Pastor is only imposing that discipline to make them look dignifying for the church. So also the Catholic Church wants Priests to be celibate to help them carry out their priestly role more effectively and profoundly.

Any comments?
Why do you think u need to write all this to prove just a point? Do u remember u dont read long post undecided  think back to your reaction on a long post i posted on the thread( infant baptism) undecided.
U ve found urself in same situation today grin grin, it makes me laugh because i ve no time pass in to reading all these .
1 or 2 bible verse that prohibite bishops from marring is all i want. And this could just end matters, as it will be clear to me. Instead  of all your Catholic webpage copy and post trying to defend it.

u re saying Paul did not marry in confidence. lets see what he said:

I say therefore to the (1)unmarried and widows,(2) it is good for them if they abide even as I.

9But if they cannot contain, let them marry: (3)for it is better to marry than to burn.

Did u see the word UNMARRIED and WIDOWS? why dont u put him in the widow? u just choosed the unmarried because it suits your doctrine undecided
The only point i can reason with a bit is bold two, and it did not mean best for them, but it says good.
So it is not surposed to be prohibited by a man made law. The bold 3 clearly said it all.
If they cant hold themselves, let them marry. What good has this law done to the catholic Bishops? all the dirty rumour we read and see on tv wouldn't ve been rampant today. How can one trust the Catholic bishop’s sex scandal are all framed up. At least, there must be trace of thruth in them, like the sow seed false doctrines of the most pastors today. We cannot believe all are false scandal. There is always a trace of truth in matters that frequently arises.

Don't we have the right to take a believing wife along with us, as do the other apostles and the Lord's brothers and Cephas? (1 Corinthians 9:5)

Take a very good look at this question, as do the other APOSPLES, Jesus brothers refarred to here: James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas. and the Cephas! there is no prohibition for Bishops from not getting marrie and ve children, as i see according to the bible.

Jesus taught his disciples, u will agree thet while they where with him, they were not sinners. So he didn't teach them this prayer becaus they will find themselves in sin dialy. Dear Plappville,

I'm very glad that you have decided to treat these topics one by one. However I just need to clarify some very important issues.

What are you really after? Are you out to discredit the Catholic Church or you are out to ensure you don't lose this argument or you are after the TRUTH.

Is your mind already closed, thinking that the Catholic Church is everything that its detractors say it is, which would mean that you'll consider everything I say as lies from the depths of hell (since I'm a Catholic) OR are you willing to discuss this with an open mind and follow the truth wherever it leads - even if it leads to the Catholic Church?

I'll assume you are willing to follow the truth but if this is not the case, kindly let me know as soon as possible so that I can stop wasting my time.
I am not in NL for arguement sake, i want to know the truth about each of the topic that will be treated. Why they are practice, if its biblical etc. So, far from empty arguements, all i want is proves backed up with the bible, not with assumption or imagination.

The reason why there exist the strange nature arising in Catholic church is because The Bible (in the book of revelations 13,14) has let us know dat the Devil will use the then political world power (Roman Empire) to corrupt the church from the inside. Thanks for the above. I have had my own reservation about Graham since I read some parts of this book,''The Legacy of Billy Graham the liar'' on this site, http://www.sovereignpotter.com/The_Legacy_Of_Billy_Graham_Index.html. Amongst his sins are:

1.Billy Graham Insists That Modernists Be Included on Crusade Committees

2. Billy Graham Also Includes Catholics and Jews on His Crusade Committees and

Quite obviously he is seduced by works.
Exactly, his declearation in this video shows how confussed he really is.

Back to the topic of this thread, i would like thr catholics to freely explain why the church do against all mentioned in the head of the thread. First, i will take them one after the other. Infant baptism will not be treated here, becos it has been treated in another thread, though unfinished.

Question 1)Is the Bible a Catholic book? If yes why,: how can Catholics account for the scriptural passage,:
( (1 Tim. 3:2, 4-5) "A bishop then, must be blameless, married but once, reserved, prudent, of good conduct, hospitable, a teacher, He should rule well his own household, keeping his children under control and perfectly respectful. For if a man cannot rule his own household, how is he to take care of the church of God?".

Yet the Catholic church doesnt allow a bishop to marry. Tell us why, Thank u.

the verses she provided should be enough for the answer u want. A christian is Christ-like, if u are a sinner then u are not a christian.

If i say i am christian, it should be enough for you to know that i dont sin for God's seed is in me. If you have the habit of sinning then you are of the devil.

But according to your school of thought, righteous people cannot sin. Or can they?
Christianity will be as simple as abc if this is how u see it. Yes i am a born again, i can sin at anytime and then confess my sins each time. U must do away from sin once u wear that garment of born in Christ.
Hom many time will u be confessing ur sins? What makes u different from a half believer then? Half believers are people who accept Christ half way. They see no much crime in commiting sin becos they believe they will confess as many times as they can.

stop following falsehood by abusing Jesus.you christians symbolise everything Christ was not! Infact he said he was only sent to jews and described gentiles as 'dogs' undeserving of the 'food' meant for the jews.

When you are tackled with what you cannot answer you guys keep pulling redherrings, changing the topic and drifting away from the subject.check my threads close to 25 of them in the religion section and that is the sad undeniable case.you cannot tackle or stick to the topic.you keep whinning pages and pages on to create the false impression that you can defend your christianity.

My advice to you is to fear God.you can still love Jesus by following the truth in Islam.fanaticism is bad for the health of christians.i really care thats why i am advicing you.'the truth shall set you free'.dont follow false and pagan doctrines in the name of Jesus.know the truth and you will know those who abide in it.dont let the word 'christian' fool you.Jesus never named his followers 'christians'.amazing how you named yourselves 'christians' and claim to be followers of Christ with false doctrines Jesus never taught but the church fathers invented.you even have a cherry-picked 'holy book' compiled and tailored by the early roman catholic church to suit their beliefs and hallucinations.the christians dont follow the bible but rather the bible must follow what christians believe.each denomination with its own version to support its distinct doctrines.no wonder no two versions are alike.

1) was mohammed able to save himself? NO, so why do u ve to accept him still?
2)If he was not done according to fulfillment, Jesus knew long before that he will be killed, he annouced it to the disciples, if he has wanted to Run, he could ve dont that even befor they came to pick him up.
3)If he didnt walk freely, tell me, where u the one that told all those parables and teaching to the crowds? Can u hid and teach multitudes? U dont even read the bible befor talking out of point.
4) he is the same God u are talking about, there is no other aside it, befor Mohamed was born, this has been the God the world know, so it is not Mohamed that can change the true God to the idolatery 3 godesses, a temple used to worship the ancient idols is still the one used today for the modern idol of Islam.
5)I strongly believe u ve never read any of the verse u post in NL, that is why they are always oup of point.

His grace is surficient for u, but it is now, dont wait becos it may be too late. Those who didnt had the previllage, are regreting now, dont be one.

you sound like a gentle man from my observation in the forum.so please for the sake of the Almighty God,try not to be like the others who give such excuses.]
what harmony can we have when what you are reading is contradicting the other? holy spirit? that is a very easy way to run from defending your religion and facing the reality.whenever faced with hard issues the christian gives the holy spirit excuse.

this is the same holy spirit that all christian denominations from the latter day saints to the jehovah's witnesses to catholics to

pentecostals to anglicans all claim.and you could find members in each denomination telling you only them have the gift of the holy spirit and the others are not "christian enough" or even christian at alll!in islam we have sunni-shia division, but we dont give the excuse of holy spirit to defend our beliefs.we use the revelation (Quranic knowledge) and the God-given gift of the intellect to understand things.

also, this same holy spirit is the same one present when those fathers abuse little boys.and is the same one when pastors abuse women:

so either accept the truth or maintain your silence.otherwise wait till
all of us reachthe hereafter for us to know the truth.christians should

therefore stop preaching and teaching to spread their religion.they should let alone the holy spirit do the magic.and if not, disbelievers in christianity can simply tell God that the holy spirit did not come their way.this holy spirit excuse is pitiful.we dont know who is lying about it.but if you ask me,all of you are lying!
Panper him to surport ur falsehood doctrine, he has just showed what the scripture says. stop using ur brainwash phrase, u re very insultive but at same time can observe soneone who is matured! Wise of u no? No Jesus no life, turn to him, we care about the truth not LagosShia presure!

Judek2:
First,it was clear that Mohammad did not write the Koran,as you agreed.Hadith tells us that Muhammad was illiterate and was unable to read or write. So of course Muhammad did not write Quran.
Muslims claim that Muhammad dictated the whole Quran to his followers and many of them memorized the Quranic verses word by word and later they wrote it down.

After the death of Muhammad there was a time when Uthman the third Caliph of Islam ordered to burn all the copies of Quran except one. It was believed that there were variations in text and recitation practice of Quran at that time and so Uthman took this step. According to Quran and Hadith, Muhammad was the last prophet of Islam. So Uthman was not a prophet and we do not know whether he kept the valid and original Quran or destroyed it? We also do not know how he determined which one was the correct version of Quran?
Muslims claim that Quran was directly given by Allah and Sheikh Ahmed Deedat the Muslim Scholar and other Muslims have claimed that Quran is the word of God because it was written in first person speech unlike Bible, where third person speech is used.
But the very first chapter of Quran is written in the third person speech.

Surah 1:1-7. "In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds; Most Gracious, Most Merciful; Master of the Day of Judgment. Thee do we worship, and Thine aid we seek. Show us the straight way, The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray."

This is not the only one example but there are many Surahs which are written in third person speech. So if we take the word of Muslim Scholars, Quran is not the word of God.
I ve not come.accros.this coranic third person verse before, waooh,.thanks for revealing it. Much are to be reveal on this socalled divine book!

Yes he is the greatest. He is the God that will never be killed by any man.
He is the God they created even and earth and see everything going on from his throne.
He is the God that have the Power to say 3 words I FORGIVE YOU without killing someone to forgive sin.
He is the God that the people he created with his own hand cannot torment.
He is the God that created Heaven and earth and never get tired to the existence that he will need rest.
He is the God that never sleep nor slumber.
He is the God that see everything he created with his hand and will not be searching for someone because he did not see him like the bible god is doing for Adam and Eve.
He is the God that cannot be slapped.
He is the God that cannot run cos they plan to kill him since he has the power to change there mind.
He is Greater than the greatest and mightier than the mightiest. I love you so much ALLAH

If i have to be telling you more about God, I wont be done till the Kingdom come.
How can u use all these definition for the three godesses of Islam ? Hold ur peace because u are trying to borrow the God that existed before Mohamed came! Just a sign of a loser grin grin grin grin grin grin

if facing the Ka'ba is idolatry then the bible God also supports idolatry:

Daniel 10: 11-12
“Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber towards Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God as he did aforetime.”

Jonah 2:4-7
"Then I said, I am cast out of thy sight; yet I will look again toward thy holy temple. The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head. I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; the earth with her bars was about me for ever: yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God. When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple".

1 Kings 8:29
"That thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou mayest hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place".

Genesis 28:18
"Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it".

Genesis 31:13
"I am the God of Bethel, where thou anointedst the pillar, and where thou vowedst a vow unto me: now arise, get thee out from this land, and return unto the land of thy kindred".

There's nothing to address here. Mohammad copied the old testaments which is about ancient life and abandoned the new covenant with Jesus Christ.
Thats why Islam will never know peace if they keep practising it.

Mohammad loves war and wickedness, and he found some in the old testaments.
Gbam!! and that was why he failed woefully, If he had copied the NT, and applied peace, maybe he could ve tried to decieve many Christians grin grin grin
