Hehehehehehe

My popsie had a machine lathe at his workshop.

I got his machinist to cut me a solid block of steel as my goalkeeper. Those shots that carry the goalkeeper enter post would not move him.

My two center backs were bottle water tops cos they were taller for stopping freekicks in my wall.

All my other players are fitted with a paper cover which I will colour in my favourite team colours (usually Super Eagles), then I will squeeze floor tiles into the counter so that my players are not knocked over easily.

Omo, I've played hours and hours of this game. Good days.
Bottle water cover? There were no bottle water at the time (Early 90s). The only bottle water at the time was Ragolis and it's cover was to frail to be used as a keeper. Instead, we'd double the 'Kanters' and make it the keeper, so it'd be strong enough to stop the shots. At one point we started using box of matches loaded with sand or dirt as goal-keeper.

Damn things done change (In biggie's voice)

To all those broke, childish and ignorant tribal warriors on nairaland. This is to remind you all that there's nothing like tribal segregation in the rich world. This is a classic case.

What do we have here? Here is P-square boys (Igbo boys) partying it hard with Forbes billionaire Rabiu abdulsamad (an Hausa man) and his family. Meanwhile, you'll see all this broke kids shouting my tribe is better than yours all over the place. My tribe is richer than yours, when in truth there's no difference 'up there'.

Music/RadioRe: The Truth: D’banj Explains How He Was Kicked Out Of Mo’hits Records By Don Jazzy by playboy19(m):
PStacks:
But truthfully, every business is about profit maximization and cost minimization.

To live in the New york is very very expensive and Don Jazzy is a business man.

A lion in the jungle nigeria is better than a dog in the city newyork

Dbanj is my man ooo, but I'm thinking he really has blame here.

Kanye West was never in the first place going to look out for him.
My brother, A ship in harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for. It was meant to sail.

Music is a global language and entertainment transcends tribe, gender, religion and age. Music is a global thing. Moreover, if Awilo could make it in Nigeria, that should tell you there is always a market for any type of music anywhere, considering you do your homework properly.

I, as a businessman will never in my life fault anyone taking big risk at growth and expansion as long as it is a well calculated risk and i dare say that the risk D'Banj took was a very very beautiful one from a business perspective and i really respect him for that. Prejudice aside, the only reason why the whole deal kinda crumbled was because they let Mo'Hit go. It was a big big mistake. This grave mistake worth to be taught in our schools.

If we all dissect the situation from a business perspective, we'd all see that they would have made tons and tons of money. D'Banj would have made money, so was The Don, but the one that would have made the biggest money was Mo'Hit the company and the brand. The brand was already enjoying global popularity as at the time the Good Music deal rumor broke out and imagine the kind of exposure 'Oliva Twist' would have given the Mo'Hit brand.

Fast forward to 2014-2015, billions of dollars are rolling into the country through FDI and foreign investors in the music industry will be looking at a local partner to roll with, and who else would it have been if not with the biggest music house in Africa. Mo'Hit. Record companies would have been falling over themselves in other to get the Mo'Hit business. This would have been their time to make massive money but damn, they threw millions of dollars out the window. Now, Mavin is barely recognized outside the country and DB Records is almost none existence, so there's little to no way investors would seek them out. Where do you think Dangote is getting all the money he is investing from? How do you think all these Investment companies are seeking him out? Simply cos he is the biggest on the continent. This is what would have happened to the Mo'Hit on the continent. Continental domination through their global popularity and exposure, but hey, they all didnt see it that way. They allowed emotions to becloud their senses. They could have at least sold the company, damn it. Nobody builds such magnitude of a company, the biggest on the continent, wake up one day and decide to shred it up. The brand was very admired, cherished and popular on the continent.

Finally my brother, no matter how expensive a venture is, as long as the ROI is higher than the overhead, then you have a good business at hand. They are both to be blamed though. What they did was purely childish and out-rightly stupi!d.

Jesus said he became poor so that we might be rich...so I see no reason why you are disgruntled..as christians we are under the abrahamic convenant which is a convenant of abundant riches, possessions and what have you?....plus Jesus was not poor..study God's word indepthly..Jesus even wore the best of clothes...his cloth as at his cruxificion was a material known as ''PURPLE'' and twas worn only by the kings and nobles in dose days...which was y d soldiers nd centurions who crucified him casted lots to take Jesus's cloth coz twas valuable!!!..now hw cn u call Him a poor man...
This is what happens to them when they don't read their bible and understand the kind of God they serve. If they take as much time as they spend on twitter or facebook to search the bible, they'd know that Jesus was never ever broke both materially and spiritually.

Jesus Christ fed thousands of people and yet they still believe he was broke?

Luke Chap. 6 vs 5" When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?

6 And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.

Emphasis on verse 6. A broke man can not already know what to feed 10-15,000 people (10-15,000 people because, back then, it was the culture of the israelite not to count women and kids, so the bible said there were 5,000 men. And we all know how our churches are this days, if you find 5000 men in a congregation, best believe the female and children population in the same place would be like triple the number of men. But to be modest, let's say they were 10-15k people all together.)

A broke man cannot feed 5 people, lest 15k people. So Jesus was never broke. What you could say is that, he never carried material things around, because they were readily spiritually available to him wherever he was. All he needed to do was to command whatever he needed to come to physical manifestation (The same way you feel secured when you have your ATM card on you, even though you have no cash.)

An example of the above is when Jesus was charged to pay His and peter's taxes...(Watch the first ATM ever recorded in action)

Matt 17 vs 27" However, so that we do not offend them, go to the sea and throw in a hook, and take the first fish that comes up; and when you open its mouth, you will find a shekel. Take that and give it to them for you and Me."

Jesus Christ was always with riches around him spiritually, so there is no way he could have been broke/poor. In fact, it was recorded that Judas was stealing from him, but that's another story for another day.

Long story short, Jesus was never a broke man. That line is just what the devil uses to rob you of your inheritance from God. Your God is an all sufficient God, so why should you live a pauper life. Study your bible and know your right. Know the plan, will and love of God for you.

Only a coward takes a shot at a man's wife to get at him. Real men confront their opponents directly. Fact is that most of those that attack PEJ also attack other women doing well in their chosen areas of interest. Most of them ensure that their wives remain slaves to them and to them, women should be restricted to the kitchen. Does that sound like Soyinke and his likes on NL?

Don't worry about those people, they cannot help themselves. They feel more like a man by attacking women. Most of them cannot even look in the eyes of successful women or suffering from erectile dysfunction. Just pity them and recommend a therapy if you know one.

I have noticed with a bit of pains that prayer works
on people and not me!

I have had the opportunity to pray and intercede for
people and it comes out positive, but one surprising
fact
is that I hardly get answers when I pray for
myself...

It all started during my degree years; I will teach and even help people during examination but often time their result comes out better than mine.

Fast forward to 2days ago. I prayed for someone who was
koboless, to have a surprise gift to the tune of
hundred
of thousands for a project she scrambled for. Less
than 56 hours later, she got it.

I personally dropped someone's CV to be considered for
bank job and less than 20hours letter the person
received a call for interview.

And today I prayed and
my kid sis was given a visa....where as I have tried
severally without succeeding.

This, amongst other
bizzare
experiences have become a cause for concern.

Matured advice only please!
There is a big mystery behind this which, i'm very sure you are not ready to know now.

John 16 vs 12: I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

The simple solution to your little problem is to change your prayers. Tell God; Father, let Thy will be done in my life. And watch how things will turn out for you.

I am very sure you have been praying amiss. You have a special case with God. There are people like that. God have a case with you but you think you know what you 'want and need'. It's just like Pastor Adeboye asking for a 3 bedroom flat when God wanted to build him a city. See? Just change your prayers. I'm speaking from experience. It may not make sense to you now, but soon, it will.

PoliticsRe: Who Will Mrs Tambuwal Vote For As Sokoto Governor, Her Husband Or Brother by playboy19(m): 9:31am On Dec 15, 2014
Who she vote for is not what i'm interested in, what is fascinating about this story is how some people are so intelligent and futuristic to have help bring others up. Its interesting to see that this Amb Wali help Tambuwal up and now he is reaping what he sowed. Whoever become the governor between the two isn't very important, the important thing is, the position is coming into the family. And someone sowed this seed in 1999. Either way, the wife is a winner.

PS: In order settings, some people as a Senate leader would rather prefer to give hand-out (stipends) to their family members instead of helping them up and reap the benefit later, just as Tambuwal later nominated the said man for the position of an Ambassador. I believe we all should learn from this. Quite fascinating.

I have never had issue with female bankers because I usually conduct my transactions as professional as possible ....

If she goes personal, I keep straight face and keep it professional .......They love meeting big catch........ Majority of female bankers have lower IQ and poor self esteem since Banking community is of high social competition .... Some bankgirls are untouchable while some are simply ''nothing'' but trying to fit in .....

As a hapless dude, it is your fault if you allow any female banker to maltreat you !!

I love female doctors so much I'd sacrificed to marry one and infact their arrogance is simply what I love about them .... I can relate with their IQ also IQ of a lawyer and an Engineer ..... (My Ideal Girls) !!

But female banker is the least IQ I ever think of ........ When I see them I'm more of pity for them cuz only God knows the pressure she's undergoing beyond the high-heels, brazilian hair , pancakes and the suit !!!

Female Docs drive me crazy even where she think low , I could use some parameters in her field to bring her to speed !!

Trust me, if the money goes into Nigeria, it'll only end up in the hands of all these "it's our time" politicians. I'd suggest that a Nigerian Educational Trust account be opened in the US which would give scholarships to Nigerian students coming into the US for educational purpose.

Or better still, let all these high net worth Nigerians match the funds up to $1B or partner with foundations around the world and open a $1B Nigerian focused scholarship scheme for Nigerians. At an average of $100k per degree, $1B will send 10,000 well educated Nigerians back to the Nigerian market in the next 10 years. Imagine what these could do for the economy. Just my thought though.

People make profits because they get their petrol to places where Nigerians pay 120, 140 and 170. Also, the number of companies are not restricted to 7, I don't know why you're implying something, that's not correct.

Because government decided to set an artificial price of N97. That's why, people gaming the system, can import without seeking subsidies and sell at 140. Now, this is not fixed, because the price of crude plays a whole role in most people's calculation. When crude falls blow $90 dollars a barrel, Nigeria's local pump price is actually more expensive.

Sooner or later we will come to our senses in this country. If current projections are correct, Nigeria local consumption will hit a Million barrels per day in 2025. Are we planning on staying this same course?
Well, the back and forth is not getting anywhere and i need to hit my bed now. I'm very tired and i have a very early meeting tomorrow. It was nice having a chat with you all the same. Peace!

Firstly I used the word PPRA permit. I expect people to know, it comes with a certain allocation quota.

Secondly, we have two different understand of the events in Nigeria. I believe subsides created corruption. Who does not want free government money. Until, we change the price discrepancy, nothing will happen.
Good to know that we both agreed on the difference between an import permit and a FG allocation. Now this brings us back to the bone of contention. Which, if the allocation and subsidy is 'now' restricted to only these 7 companies, then how does the other companies 'now' importing independently and those who didn't get allocation before the subsidy uproar, how do they make profits? If they truly make profits, then whats the essence of the subsidy in the first place?

Moreover, if we can settle the able question, then you'd understand why i said the system was created with full corruption in mind, as there was no real need for it in the first place. It is a compensation scheme for the lobbyist. It is no surprise how all the indicted people were the ones in the room during the 'friends of Jonathan' campaign fund-raising in 2011 and why nothing has been done with the recommendations from the subsidy committee.

Nigeria is not selling crude at cost plus markup. The Nigerian government has resolved to sell crude at the international price. Please get over that. Before Obj changed the price formula, NNPC would not account for their 445,000 barrels. angry

Thou illegal, I have heard companies import without PPRA permit. Guess what, petrol is 120 in my area, that's the average, those in Lagos buy at 97, most Nigerians do not. There are places in this same country where petrol sells for N140. That's why this subsides joke must be stopped. So, importing directly without subsides has an upside to it. Just don't get caught.

Scarp PPRA and allow people buy, produce and sell petrol for whatever price, the market will support. This one single action will fundamentally transform, the down stream sector. Also, the structural defect in governance and their inefficiency plus corruption this subsides regime has created will disappear.

The social cost will be minimal and limited.
I'm only replying this for the sake of those reading this or will be reading in the future. Don't get people thinking that an import permit is the same thing as FG allocation. They are 2 different things entirely. Import permit means, go ahead and import your own fuel, while a FG allocation means, please import fuel on behalf of the government and we pay you subsidy. Which is only restricted to 7 companies at the moment. That's the difference.

Secondly, it wouldn't be wise to deregulate the price of product, it will only mess up the downstream industry the more. Plus subsidy didn't create any corruption, rather, the whole subsidy 'scam' was created out of sheer corruption. We shouldn't make the impression that the system created corruption, when in truth, the whole system was created with minds full of corruption. To perpetuate it in full scale without consequences.

On the contrary sir, the bolded part of your post is central to the discussion. The source of the product IS material to the discussion.

Why would Dangote buy dollar denominated crude oil from another country and sell it here in Nigeria for local consumption? What would be the justification? (Apart from supernormal profits) angry If the government sold crude oil to the NNPC at cost price plus a mark up (for opex and other costs) there would be no need for any 'subsidy' and all this nonsense would stop.

Let me remind you that another poster on this thread said there are a number of oil importers who import oil without any government subsidy. And according to this poster, these importers still make a tidy profit. Is this poster wrong? Because if he is right then your argument just got blown out of the water. Again.

Well, you know, i should thank you very much for a good laugh today. I was heading out for a meeting with my partner when your last message came through. My partner saw your comment on my tab and was like, what? Is he from another country? We discussed about your ignorance and had a good laugh, so much that my executive assistant who was driving almost got us killed.

Well, like my partner rightly suggested, perhaps you should consider registering a company and getting the required documents. From experience, a tank farm agreement is like the most difficult to get from all the requirement, but i can help out by making a call or 2 to get that sorted for you. After you get all the document, walk into PPPRA office and try your luck like you suggested and let's see how that goes. If you, by TB Joshua miracle get the allocation, get yourself down to Asokoro, i will gladly finance the supply and we make money. I guess that should solve it instead of having to go back and forth with you unnecessarily over it. You know, real life experience is better than some crap you read on some random blogs.

Then again, you need to get informed.

Oh boy... here we go with the "No Shoes" line of story again. It wont work this time. So you mean to tell us that you are a commoner like everyone who doesn't have up N27m in your account, isn't that what this means? Or am i getting it wrong?
