The Chairman, Parent Teachers Association (PTA), Suleiman Idajili, said the decision followed a terrorist attack on a nearby village on Sunday morning.
Godoverevery: Am sharing this with a sad heart and using this to beg people to please stay away from drugs.
I never liked weed or anything smoke growing up.... the first time I smoked in 2007 (100l) I didn't like the feeling at all so it was never my thing, I loved alcohol and I drank alot then....in my final year first semester I was introduce to something that almost killed me.
We were preparing for exams so night class was the thing....for ladokites in the building y"all know night class is something very common during exams....one day I attended one at (mko lecture theatre)....it was a group reading for a general course (basic in accounting.....imagine we mech engine student were force to do management courses in our finals) ...I was feeling sleepy so I beg a guy to give me some water to rinse my face to clear away sleep...they all laffed and told me to take something instead that wont make me sleep (I was giving tramaldo 50mg) and that was the beginning of my addiction to this drug......I was so addicted that I was even buying packs (it was very cheap then).
The feeling was great at first when I started using but has years roll by I started having health issues.....the major one was difficulty in sleeping. After my nysc (2013) I was in my parent house.....I took about 300mg a night before, when I woke up, went outside to check why the dogs were barking seriously, I got back in my room and I had serious seizures ......I was unconscious for about 30min. I saw my mum crying and my dad holding me when i opened my eye....I was already very wet ,urinated on myself with spoon in my mouth. I could have died that day......but God safe me...I guess my parent prayers brought me back.
I asked my mum what happened she was just rolling on the floor thanking God....my dad pulled me up, I felt pains around my right shoulder, I have dislocated my shoulder during the seizures.(Till today that shoulder stills give me issues).
My parent thought it was a spiritual attack but I knew it was the drugs I took that nite before....I actually OD on.
I vow never to take it or any other drugs again and am still holding on to it.
Am sharing this because I lost a childhood friend on Sunday......he died from drug abuse.
His liver was 3 times the normal size and divided......Crystal meth was the drug that actually nailed him.
He was from a rich home and last child.....I cried when I saw his corpse because I remember the first time I saw him smoke a cigarette In 2005....that night I was really shocked and he told me this what big boys take in boarding school.
Please stay away from drugs.......you might not be lucky like my friend.....you have the power to beat the addiction by just making up your mind and cutting off friends that can influence you.
The Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has reacted to a throwback video of his running mate, Yusuf Baba-Ahmed, calling for the killing of LGBTQ members.
Baba-Ahmed was a Senator when the anti-gay bill was being considered in the Nigerian Senate. While making his own contribution during plenary in 2014, Baba-Ahmed opined that such ''elements'' should be killed in the society.
''Actually such elements in the society should be killed'' he said
Shortly after he was announced as Peter Obi's running mate, Nigerians dug up the video of Baba-Ahmed calling for the elimination of gays.
In a recent interview with a radio station, Peter Obi was asked to react to his running mate's comment which some people found distasteful. He said;
'' 2014 to today is about eight years. But that not withstanding, we all have made comments that we believe in and it is allowed. I for one is tolerant of people's views and their lifestyle. This is me. As long as it doesn't affect my interest. For me, we jave more critical issues to deal with Today and that is what I will be concentrating on''

Metrix147: We Took Her To Hotel, Drug Her Yoghurt, Stab Her To Death And Sell Her Baby For N150K - Abia Murder Suspects Confess (VIDEO)
Two suspects arrested in connection with the killing of a 21-year-old nursing mother, Chimhurumnaya Udeh have confessed killing the deceased, saying they only administered eight pieces of piriton tablets to make her fall asleep before stabbing her to death, ABN TV reports.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4q88VnemR0Y The victim was killed in a room at Merry Home Hotels Ogbor Hill Aba on 15 April, 2022 by the suspects who also took her 11-month-old baby away.
In his confessional statement during the parade at police headquarters in Umuahia, one of the suspects, David Ogwo Orji, 21, a native of Ugwueke in Bende local government area of Abia State said the deceased was his girlfriend.
He had lured her into the hotel where he along with his accomplice, Chimaobi Anyim Kalu had concluded plans to kill her and sell her baby for N150,000
He said one Chukwuemeka James who is at large currently has facilitated a buyer for them who is ready to pay N150,000.
While claiming that it was not his intention to kill the lady before abducting her baby to sell off, he said Chimaobi Anyim Kalu was the one who threatened to kill him inside the hotel room if he fails to stab the deceased to death while she was fast asleep.
Upon his refusal, Chimaobi helped him in hitting the bottom of a broken glass cup to stab the deceased where she died instantly before he (David) made away with the 11-month-old baby to meet an already waiting buyer.
press9jatv: Twitter’s board has endorsed the proposed $44 billion sale of the company to billionaire and Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
This was contained in a regulatory filing Tuesday, according to ABC News.
However, AFP quoted Musk saying Tuesday that his $44 billion move to take over Twitter remained held up by “very significant” questions about the number of fake users on the social network.
Musk was reluctant to talk about the deal when asked at the Qatar Economic Forum, saying it was a “sensitive” matter.
“There are still a few unresolved matters,” Musk said by video link.
This includes whether “the number of fake and spam users on the system is less than five percent as per their claims, which I think is probably not most people’s experience when using Twitter.
“So we are still awaiting resolution on that matter and that is a very significant matter,” the Tesla car and SpaceX exploration chief said.
Musk said there were also questions about Twitter’s debt and whether shareholders will vote for the deal.
“So I think these are the three things that need to resolved” to make the transaction happen.
Musk said he wanted to get 80 percent of the North American population and half the world’s population onto Twitter.
“That means it must be something that is appealing to people, it obviously can’t be a place where they feel uncomfortable or harassed or they will simply not use it.”
“I think there is this big difference between freedom of speech and freedom of reach,” Musk added.
“You are allowed to yell whatever you want in a public space, more or less. But whatever you say, however controversial, doesn’t need to then be broadcast to the whole country.
“So I think generally the approach of Twitter should be to let people say what they want within the balance of the law but then limit who sees that based on any given Twitter user preferences.”
He said that if the deal went ahead his role would be to “drive the product”, saying this is what he did at Tesla and SpaceX.
Musk said he expected Tesla’s number of employees to fall by about 3.5 percent in the next three months but the headcount would start rising again in a year.
Asked about the next US presidential election in 2024, Musk said he had not decided who to back but that he was ready to inject $20-$25 million into a candidate’s campaign.
He has previously indicated he could support Florida’s Republican governor Ron DeSantis.

Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer SP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed this in a tweet this morning. The Lady took to social media to describe her ordeal at the hands of some ostensibly Nigerian police officers. On her way to Lekki Phase II, the lady said she was robbed by the cops.
According to her, the Policemen pulled over their car at a checkpoint in Lekki Conservation Center and searched their belongings. She gladly handed over her suitcase to the authorities because it contained nothing incriminating. When one of the Policemen questioned what she was doing with weed, she was taken aback.
If she didn't give them N400,000k, they threatened to hand her over to the NDLEA. She ended up giving them N320,000k out of fear.

So let me brief you all a little bit about myself, I'm the first son of a family of five. Also a 300-level student, all my life I have been depressing and saddened by the kind of family I found myself in.
First of all, I must commend my dad for pulling me from secondary level to University. The only thing I know my dad does for me is to pay my school fees and he leaves me with no other choice again. Let me clear y'all a lot about him.
Second of all, he does nothing, he's one of the Niger Delta amnesty beneficiaries which occurred some years ago. Ever since then, he depend on all that money to train five children. He's a stay-at-home dad, lol! My dad left me with depression and hunger for me to deal with here in school.
Now, what got me annoyed to bring this issue here is, that I came back home for some weeks now to sustain myself because I have been going through a lot over there. The little work that I use to do here in the village, was to get small money for myself and the girl that I brought home. This man has been relying on me all this while to be bringing money for feeding and any household stuff.
I have been here for two months now, working from Monday to Sunday and coming back late at night without any single savings on me. I cry every night, laying curses on myself and that angel that made me become a first child.
I give this man every money, ranging from the one he will use and smoke, eat, soap, etc. All he does is stay in the house from morning to night.
I'm tired!
School is depressing me, I have many courses that I am having issues with and no money to fix all these courses, and I have just a year to leave this school. Home is also making me choose suicide as the only option left.
Whenever I tell him I don't have money, he blows up and starts threatening me about how he's going to withdraw from assisting me academically.
Them don dy share wetyn them never get. Omo seriously this has to stop and the only way we can stop it is by voting them out.Obi has come to rescue us let us enforce change through him...The truth is even PDP and APC knows that Peter Obi is the most qualified president.
Antoeni: After rejecting Wike as his running mate, Atiku allegedly tried to compensate the Rivers governor by offering him the petroleum ministry portfolio if he wins.
A PDP source who revealed this, however, said Governor Wike rejected the offer.
Interesting days ahead for the PDP as it seeks to displace the ruling APC from Aso Rock.
