Politics › Our 'role' In Promoting Boko Haram by pmc01(op): 9:49pm On Mar 19, 2013
Very very pathetic hostile situation in the country indeed! What is more pathetic is the gradual rise of ethno-religious crises- Christians vs Muslims, Southern Nigeria vs Northern Nigeria. I guess this was part of the 'boko haram' gameplan all along. Sadly, we the 'innocent people' have played and are still playing to the gallery. We have allowed ethnic and religious sentiments guide our reactions to the Boko Haram menance. If you say I am wrong, let me ask you this:
Are we not more concerned about which of the two sides (Christianity and Islam) has had more death casualties, rather than collectively seeking permanent solutions to the wahala itself?

Again, I ask, where have our conscience, common sense and Nigerianness journeyed to?

Politics › Re: Did You Vote Jonathan In 2011 And Will You In 2015? by pmc01(m): 6:09pm On Mar 18, 2013
The Anti-GEJ team still in the lead.
About 8 indifferent and 20 undecided opinions. I hope this would reflect the vote count in 2015.
BTW, some foolish comments in support of JEG show that some men of GEJ (a.k.a. Men of God) have already started that same brainwashing of 2011. Make dem no worry; the God they claim to serve, but don't truly serve will put them to shame now and the Hereafter.
I believe only a hypocrite and unpatriotic idiot will commend Jonathan with for his Anti-people decisions (except earmaking 4billion naira for Patience's 'gossip centre is a good policy).
Islam › Re: Questions For The Sunni/salafi And Shia by pmc01(m): 5:11pm On Mar 18, 2013
What I meant by 'minor mistakes that fall under bid'ah' in my second comment are those who unintentionally recite things that are bid'ah when they clearly intended to do an acceptable act of worship. E.g. Reciting Solatul Fatih in the place of Solatul Ibrahimiyyah (which is the one recommended in the Sunnah).
Islam › Re: Questions For The Sunni/salafi And Shia by pmc01(m): 4:54pm On Mar 18, 2013
Some people do mock the adherents of the Sunnah by calling them Salafis, Wahabbis, e.t.c. This could be borne out of ignorance or pure resentment. It all doesn't make sense... Allahu Musta'an.
NB: Imam Muhammad AbdWahab is a past scholar whose extensive works on Tawheed has continued to be relevant over time in the field of Tawheed, especially to the adherents of the Sunnah. Hence, the name, Wahabbis.
Islam › Re: Questions For The Sunni/salafi And Shia by pmc01(m): 4:14pm On Mar 18, 2013
The Salafs simply refer to our righteous predecessors. The current trend of calling someone Salafi is most likely intended to mean someone who emulates the Salaf. And Sunni probably is intended to mean an adherent of the Sunnah.
But as earlier stated, what is more important is the sunnatic deeds you do, and your sincerity in doing them. Bearing such names is still advised to be done away with, as much as one can, so as not to lead to unworthy show-off or even bid'ah, in the extreme case. The companions were not known with such attributes... May Allah forgive me wherever I have erred. And I stand to be put aright wherever I might have strayed. Allahu a'alam.
Islam › Re: Questions For The Sunni/salafi And Shia by pmc01(m): 4:02pm On Mar 18, 2013
However, whoever is an unrepentant patron of Bid'ah (innovations) is clearly of the Ahlul Bid'ah wal jamaa' (adherents of the Bid'ah). No matter what name such people ascribe to themselves (even if they call themselves Sunni), they are definitely among the 72 lost sects. Note that those 72 strayed sects will be determined by their aqeedah (ideology), and not by their names.
However, these people mentioned above will mainly be people who innovate things that invalidate one's tawheed [full acceptance of the oneness of Allah in all ramifications and the Messengership of Muhammad (PBUH)] and who deliberately refuse to repent till their demise. What this means is that those that make minor mistakes that fall under innovations might be forgiven by Allah, if He wills. But, it is totally discouraged to innovate even the most minor thing in the deen. This is because the implication of any innovation in the deen is that the Prophet (PBUH) didn't complete his mission before leaving the world, Na'audhubillah. This is absolutely wrong cos Allah told us in Surah Al-Maidah, 5:3 that '...He (Allah) has perfected the Religion of Islam...'. The question then is, 'Is there anything beyond perfect?' Of course, not.
The Prophet (PBUH) also mentioned in an authentic Hadith that: 'Every innovation is Misguidance, and every misguidance leads to the Hellfire'.
Therefore, we should keep away from any innovation in the deen of Islam and also discourage it as much as we can, rather than concentrating all our focus on promoting names... May Allah forgive me wherever I have erred. Allahu a'alam.
Islam › Re: Questions For The Sunni/salafi And Shia by pmc01(m): 3:38pm On Mar 18, 2013
deols: 2. I used to know of the name ahli sunnah wal jama'a but these days, I see many people calling themselves salafis.

Did the need to further differentiate the sunnis just arise or my nija peeps are just getting into salafism? I used to think d definition of ahlisunnah included following d footsteps of d salafs
Yes, you are right. Those who stay rightfully on the path that the Prophet (PBUH) and his worthy companions pioneered are refered to as Ahlu-s-Sunnah wal Jamaah. This is because in that popular hadith about the Muslims dividing into 73 sects, the Prophet (PBUH) mentioned that the saved sect are the Jamaa'. When probed further by his companions (May Allah be pleased with them all), he explained the Jamaa' to be those who held steadfastly unto his Sunnah. Hence, that name, Ahlu-s-Sunnah wal Jamaa' (those who are adherents of the Sunnah).
However, the correct creed is that it is totally disliked and discouraged that some people now come together in a group and start refering to themselves as that. That is Riyah (show off). Just hold on to the sunnah specifically for Allah's sake, without any publicity stunt. I ask Allah for pardon wherever I might have erred in my submission... Allahu a'alam.

Politics › Commandant 'my Oga At The Top' Shems Should Apologize- That's All by pmc01(op): 10:07pm On Mar 16, 2013
The manner we are blaming Channels TV for not 'protecting' the man is the same manner Government was blaming the same TV station for exposing the rot at the Police college. Didn't the Govt attempt to take action on that matter thereafter?
Fact is that Channels TV has helped in exposing one of the major flaws in our security system; Mr. PRO was just an unlucky victim. Let's hope now that the Government will see enough reason to upgrade our security system from its present 19th century age to the current contemporary age.
As for Mr. Commandant, he should go back to Channels TV to beg for airtime that will enable him acknowledge the victims of his negligence of duty and insensitivity to the victims' plight, as earlier stated (those that were scammed, due to ignorance of the authentic website), as well as offering a sincere apology and ultimately broadcast the authentic website. Maybe that will make more Nigerians sympathetic to his cause and help him douse the fire of his widespread mockery... That's all.
#God help us
NB: Channels TV created an avenue for him to announce the authentic website, and save people from falling victims of scam. Alas! He flopped.

Nairaland General › Oga NSCDC PRO Is Guilty As Charged- Datz All by pmc01(op): 2:22pm On Mar 16, 2013
For those that are trying to justify Mr. NSCDC PRO's gaffe as a 'normal' mistake, it is no mistake, it is inexcusable stubborn ignorance and ego, that further dents our country's image in the eyes of the International community...
And for those blaming the Channels TV presenters for 'ridiculing' him... It's either:
-you are subsidiaries/beneficiaries of a rival media station
-or you are subsidiaries/beneficiaries of NSCDC
-or you are simply learning learners
-or your thinking faculties have been encrypted by 'the Oga at the top' and he has misplaced the access code...

Christianity Etc › Homosexualism Is Criminal by pmc01(op): 5:43am On Mar 16, 2013
For those who try to justify Homosexualism:
The argument that homosexuals are created so is most feeble, baseless and unfounded criminal, unjustifiable unacceptable and a call to worldwide chaos and extinction of humankind, ultimately.
The truth is that all humans have the inherent tendency to do the wrong things.
Don't you have the ability and willpower to kill, why aren't you a killer?
Don't you have the ability and chance to rape, why aren't you a rapist?
Don't you have the ability and zeal to steal, why aren't you a thief?

You see now that the excuse that homosexuals were created that way is just false illusions, self-deceit and illegimate gratification of a crime against humanity. Infact, Homosexuality is as criminal as Armed Robbery, because they both signgfy an unpardonable inability to control the urge of committing a grievous crime. If we all act on our natural tendencies, the world would have collapsed from a continuous state of chaos already.

All our parents could have decided to be homosexuals, and I wonder how we would have found ourselves here to even discuss the matter.

"Would ye really approach men in your lusts rather than women? Nay, ye are a people (grossly) ignorant! (The Noble Quran, 27:55)"

'Abd al-Rahman, the son of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, reported from his father: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said: "A man should not see the private parts of another man, and a woman should not see the private parts of another woman, and a man should not lie with another man under one covering, and a woman should not lie with another woman under one covering. (Translation of Sahih Muslim, The Book of Menstruation (Kitab Al-Haid), Book 003, Number 0667)".

If as a Muslim, you still feel otherwise about the matter, then remember that:
"It is not fitting for a Believer, man or woman, when a matter has been decided by God and His Apostle to have any option about their decision: if any one disobeys God and His Apostle, he is indeed on a clearly wrong Path. (The Noble Quran, 33:36)"

#What is wrong is wrong... Our stand, as Muslims is zero tolerance for homosexualism. Period!
Politics › Nta's Show Of Shame by pmc01(op): 3:22pm On Mar 14, 2013
Did you see what I saw on NTA International? This is indeed an international disgrace of an unimaginable magnitude.
First is the joke of a Gathering in Minna, themed: "National Discourse on Corruption" by Patrons of Corruption themselves. I decided to watch just out of curiosity. Several speakers made their submissions smoothly until... Other People were asked to come forward and make their comments.
Lo and behold! It was Dino Melaye's turn to speak. Characteristically, he started with a joke on coming to the Programme with his toothpaste and toothbrush, just in case he was arrested for the comments he was about to make. He was just about to proceed on lashing out at GEJ for his obvious tolerance of corruption... Alas! It was showtime; our dear 'Largest TV network in Africa' inexplicably cut off the live broadcast to show adverts on 'Peace in Nigeria'. It was the same when Shehu Sani was given the microphone, and he was about to toe the same line as Dino Melaye.
What Kind of a show of shame is this? I am not making a case for the two men, but why will our NTA disgrace us like this in the presence of International audience? Is this professional journalism? sad angry undecided cry
Events › Kanu Heart Foundation Calling... Keep A Heart Beating by pmc01(op): 11:35am On Mar 14, 2013
Food for Thought:
Just before you order for that stuff, please ask yourself if you really need it or just want it. The truth is if you don't need it, then it doesn't matter if you just want it; you have the choice to let go and do something more beneficial with your money.
Wait! Before you purchase that twenty thousand naira concert ticket, have you heard that the Kanu Heart Foundation is launching her five billion naira Cardiac Centre fund-raiser at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja by 5pm today?
Well, now you know. You should also be informed that the Centre is proposed to cater for the free treatment of 12 years and below children with various heart diseases here in Nigeria. Those above 12 years with similar condition will also be treated there at highly subsidized rates.
If you can't make it to the event, please log on to:
www.kanuheartfoundation.org or www.kanuheartfoundationng.com to make your donations.
I promise you that you will feel more fulfiled if your 'chicken change' keeps that heart beating.

I will like to stay up to date on this matter, I don't know how though, since I am not in Lagos.
The principal has to be dealt with to the 'satisfaction' of the girl in question.
The gravity of the matter is such that there are grave psychological implications for the girl if justice is not optimally dispensed- her morale might be severely decimated and she might be stripped of her self confidence as a backlash.
This matter had better not be thrown into the trash can by the influence of the 'Nigerian factor'; for the good of the girl and the rest of us.
I reiterate my hope again that may we not have to do the 'unnecessary' before the 'necessary' is done. I hope!
