Lol.
You have not completed this Abuja-Kaduna-Kano superhighway by Julius Berger; not started its southern equivalent that is supposed to start from the coastal area of the Niger delta region across most of the region through rest of the SE region into Abuja.
Yet, you have jumped into another most expensive Lagos-Calabar coastal highway on a most difficult marshy coastal terrain?

By the way, have your people not heard that railways, not motorways, are the most used and most efficient travel methods in today's world?
I know you will foolishly bring SE..

FYI section 2 and section 3 of the Abuja Kaduna zaria Kano road is completed

Their focus is section 1 which is Abuja to Kaduna..the. Delay is caused by funding and bandits..

Second..there is no coastal road to SE...
please what you have is port Harcourt to Enugu road which covers most part of SE..FYI that road is under construction...inshort section 4 which is port Harcourt to aba handled by CCECC is moving fast ..a section of it is 10 lanes..

Section one which runs from enugu handled by Arab contractors is still moving..

In Nigeria, the roads are top priorities before the rail..
This is common sense..you fix the road then build rail as an alternative..

Everything that moves on rail will move on road..but not everything that moves on the road will move on the rail (I am talking about the feasibility aspect of logistics)...this is why Lagos Ibadan railway is not even being used up to 10% of capacity...

Warri itakpe rail is even worse..

We dont need this joke of a highway...have people noy been going to calabar via this routes even as we speak via road...?

If he is serious, he should commit funds for a railway for same route...not this, unnecessary project...

Nonsense!!!
If you have sense you will understand that a road is of higher priority...
Despite Lagos Ibadan railway..has that reduced the traffic of the main highway?..

Can the rail cater for every kind of cargo?

JB hardly handle long projects like that, I think RCC is the best when it come to that
Lol.

Abuja - Kano that they are handling isn't a short project.. besides Hitech is only handling phase 1 which is about 40km

Julius Berger is handling Abuja -kaduna - zaria - Kano..a whooping 370km plus

Everything I read daily about Nigeria shows that the end is near. And I will be so glad to witness the end of Nigeria.

If this bill is passed, believe me, it is the end of Nigeria. I do not see anything wrong in it, but I am trying to envision a Nigeria under Igbo and Hausa and Fulani will fold their hands. grin Honestly, this is the best strategy to divide Nigeria.

I was against the person who put this bill forward in my previous post, but now, I can see the hand of God in it. Nigeria is going down soon. And it will be the greatest news for me.

You have no point really..

They no longer call it loans.
You take a loan from China to build infrastructure, and still give the construction contract to China. Thereafter China may still be the one managing and profiting from it until the loan is fully paid, by Which time the infrastructure would have deteriorated to the point that a new loan from China will be needed to repair the place, and guess who the contract goes to...

The Chinese are 200 times better than IMF and world bank

So sad

I am not..
But you are not being realistic..
This is Africa not America or Japan..this factor is what you are missing..

Even the north African countries that are miles ahead of the rest are still resource dependent
Politics / Re: 24 States Can’t Pay Salaries Without FG Allocation by pocom16: 10:29am On Mar 07

States don't have to depend on natural resources to thrive. This is the mistake we make. States will build hydropower plants and sell electricity to their neighbours, make money through agriculture, have state buses that convey passengers within and outside the state, etc. We just need creative minds to be in government. The worst of us work in public service... instead of the best.

This is the edge that rich countries have over poor countries. With the way the US and China are investing in technology, you won't even know that those two countries are the world's biggest exporters of crude oil. In Nigeria, we get small crude oil come lose our sense. I laugh when people say that America has nothing.

Where will state see money to build dams if it not proceeds from their resources...be deceiving yourself...

There is no African nation that doesn't thrive on resources...

We are not as advanced as the western world their thrives on their knowledge and research..
Get this fact

Resources doesn't necessarily mean materials buried underground... agriculture also counts

How can Akwa Ibom and Delta States be paying N127.8bn and N110.3bn in salaries respectively? What value do those workers bring to the table to warrant earning sums that their states cannot generate? These two states are the highest on the list.

BTW, two-third of Nigerian states cannot pay salaries without federal intervention, yet politicians are talking about state police. First things first. Before state police, restructure Nigeria to allow states or regions control their resources and then pay taxes to the centre. If not, the level of corruption in today's police will be a child's play.

The only resource largely developed is Oil..

The restructuring you are craving for will only make matters worse for state with nothing to show for in terms of economic activities

You are talking rubbish, this government don't know what they are doing, the are diverting attention from the main problem which are ;
1.cutting down the cost of governance.
2. bold enough to eradicating ridiculous purchase of immaterial vehicle by the house of assembly using tax payers money.
3.overcome the country's challenges in security by arresting all the political actors involved.
4.EXECUTE kidnappers at a spot if culpable in the crime.
5 fixed power by investing 40% and 20% in education of the money saved from cutting cost of running government.

See if all the politicians are not paid for 10 years they will survive with the money they had looted.

Bro you need to wake up and stop supporting all this good for nothing politicians that are impoverishing the poor through looting and re-looting of public fund.

All this one you type will not do shit to the economy..

Even if all politicians stop collecting salary...the economy will continue to nosedive..

Fix electricity and all the problems attached.

Reduce your imports by half (this can be done by banning petroleum products import meaning they need to bring back our refineries)

Increase oil production to atleast 3million B/d to sustain local refineries and maintain export rates..

State government should donates 30% to massive agriculture.

Bring back ajaokuta
