OP, let us not make blind comparisons.

Can we have the cost analysis of the two projects, when they were awarded and what exactly was awarded, the contract details, and the contractor handling the projects so that we can be well informed?

Besides, Tokumbo Abiru has been in the Senate since 2020, while Tony Nwoye just went to the Senate last June.
Then tony should have waited 3 years..if that is what it will take to deliver a sensible project..

Stop defending rubbish

Politics / Re: Akpabio: FG Doesn’t Even Know What To Charge Emefiele With by pocom16: 7:50am On Feb 19
Rich4god:
My problem with emefiele is not that money is missing. My problem with him is that as a southerner, why did he allow himself to be used by the cabal whom are mostly northerners to milk this country dry. As a CBN gov, he aided the last administration in milking this country and it's part of the reason our currency is crumbling cos there is no fund to maintain it. He should have stood his ground against the cabal. Now they all left him to bear the consequences alone.

If justice were to be served, all the top officials in the last administration, including the president should be in jail and the looted funds recovered from them.

Emiefele didn't do such...his only crime was trying to stop Tinubu from rigging...now Tinubu is gonna teach him a lesson..

You are talking about milking the country..

Which CBN governor can you vouch for that hasn't looted N1..
Atleast he was able to manage the Forex crises conveniently..

His job wasn't influenced by the President at all which is right... mention anytime that a CBN policy was influenced by Buhari..they only informed the president if it calls for that..

Now you have a mad man who comes in into power and instructs a float of currency..and the Cardoso just followed orders without having a say..where does it happen that the president orders a central bank anyhow

These cannot explain the over 100% rise in the price. Even the prices of most imported goods have not doubled.

Sure.. it can't but it contributes..

This time I would like BUA chairman, Abdulsalam Rabiu to explain cuz after all his wailing and deceit of selling a bag for N3500..his price are currently higher than Dangote

Before the floating, the widespread opinion was that currencies excnanve rates be collapses or floated. It has been floated and now you are making a 180° degree turn.

You must be high on something..

Did I tell I was amongst those who supported floating of naira..

I only supported subsidy removal if the proceeds will be used for something meaningful..every candidate for the last election supported it..

Aside Bulaba...not Obi or Atiku promised or made plans to float naira..

Now the idiots in power left subsidy they promised and wailed for...and chose to devalue the naira..

A305:
These policies didn't work as dollar rebounded this morning and is currently trading above 1600 this morning.

The mistake done was undoing Emiefele's policy of floating the naira against the dollar — Naira could have lost value either ways but not with this sharp increase, it wouldn't even have reached 1000 dollars.

The government should first reinstate pegging the dollar and all these other new policies will stick to curbing naira decline.

We will continue to suffer it...

Now subsidy is back and at higher figures than previous administration..

Bulaba should have kept dollar the way it was and just remove the subsidy he was dying... That way..
The exchange rate will still allow NNPC remit alot more ..the only thing that will be affected is transport cost..

But the bastard decided to touch the Forex rates which affects every commodity down to toothpick..

Very useless man

No progress can be made without holding those responsible for the rot to account.

They would just find another way to frustrate the system.

Until people are held to account, no progress can be made and any action to tackle the problem using a cowardly approach will only increase the burden on the masses.

As for the specific issue of subsidy on PMS, the underlying problem of what makes it unsustainable should first be sorted out.

It is unsustainable because its cost keeps increasing

Bat is simply being a coward and uninterested/ has no sincere plan in developing nigeria.

Rather than face the issues that have made subsidy unsustainable, he choose the cowardly route by leaving the masses to the hyenas.

Tackle the foundational issues that make subsidy unsustainable as well as the dubious dealings in fx transactions before taking actions that further impoverish the masses.

Lol..what do you want to tackle..

You tackle dubious FX dealings by closing the gap between official and black market rate... anything else is a mirage..

The same thing goes to subsidy..

What bulaba should have done is maintain the subsidy on FX but remove the one on fuel..
That way the money they save can be investigated into something else like maybe refinery or increase oil production
