U r welcome Jamesdoes
as for the eze being an object of attack, my response is that. He would have primarily being a poster before an eze. So he won't be new to the antics of Nairaland.

other posters are not in anyway oblige to come to his aids. The title is symbolic. It changes nothing

@Jamine
lol at your observation.
in any case, like I said it is a symbolic title. The eze can even be from any section of Nairaland. It is not limited to politics section.

Good question.
The Eze would be selected based on whatever criteria the voters deem fit.

He is not expected to be infallible, he will have no real authority and nothing will be expected of the Nairaland admins. The Eze elected can add the title to his byline or status. Being an Eze will not stop him being a poster. Though it would be much better if he does not get involved in tribal war, but in the end we are not looking for perfect man. The title is purely symbolic.

PoliticsRe: Can We Have Eze Ndi Igbo Nairaland? by PointB(op): 11:54pm On Dec 02, 2011
Lol @ tipia
So does ezeagu and others ezes. Lets not encourage candidate imposition like some political parties that we know. Lol.

in any case they will have their day at the poll.

@ Alj harem thanks for removing yourself. As for ndu_chuks because of his higher level of intelligence, he is a worse anti-igbo than you. You see why he does not qualify? If I mistakenly put his name in the poll, i trust you will register one thousand ids to vote for him. Just joking. cheesy

At least you know why both of you are disqualified. Thank.
PoliticsRe: Can We Have Eze Ndi Igbo Nairaland? by PointB(op): 11:31pm On Dec 02, 2011
Ahj harem the title on Niaraland is symbolic. And part of this nominating process is also to discuss what role they will be playing here especially to support the current igbo renaissance.

Thanks for your nominations. But I am afraid you and Ndu_Chucks are not qualified as Igbos. But in any case you are entitled to vote when the poll begins.
PoliticsRe: Can We Have Eze Ndi Igbo Nairaland? by PointB(op): 11:19pm On Dec 02, 2011

Ocelot read my comment very well. No where in that post did I use the word 'own' in any context, let alone being quoted out of context. If you lack comprehension ability ability, get a 6 year old to do you the favour.

@Ekt bear, their lies the response. I suspected you were disingenuous when you brought those unccorrobrated IGR data into the Can the North stand alone thread. It was easy to see your game then and now more evidence has exposed you.

Why did you have to resort to falsehood?
PoliticsRe: Ojukwu: Immortalize Him – Yerima by PointB: 10:40pm On Dec 02, 2011
@Jason
you are a joke.
And keep fooling your self with your self imposed fear of betrayal by any SS group. Do you hear SE or SW fearing betrayal by members of their zone? Why do you think you might be betrayed by a member of your zone? I will tell you.

SS does not exist! It is a contraption which is held together by Igbos. As soon as the Igbo components of SS which your fail to give any credit, especially in delta state pull out, I wonder what will remain of the contraption. You can have your ND Republic in as much as you leave out the Igbo speaking part of SS.

South south is just a nonsense contraption by NigerIan to steal Igbo people, land, and culture. It will never be. So, whoever is strategising about Nigeria future post separation should factor it in their plans that Igbo have no plan to leave the kiths and kin in any part of SS when the poo hit the fan. We will reach across to them and bring them home. The rest of the ethnic group will choose their destiny themselves. SS as presently constituted is a rubbish contraption. Every one should start answering their fathers name henceforth.

Bring the drones already. You can operate them covertly from Owerri, Enugu, or Awka. In fact Festac in Lagos, and southern kaduna and Jos is available. Just let us know what you need, and when.

Liberate Nigeria!

I think you are right. Political power at the centre does not equate to nor favour development. In actual fact, the reverse is the case. Otherwise, how else can one explain that fact that a war ravaged zone somehow and despite unfavorable political and economical climate manages to catch up and overtake zones which has/had these 'advantages.' Nigeria is a very funny country.

perhaps smarting from this knowledge is why the SW are looking toward regionalism.

i would suggest, SE should not linger on to political power if and when they get it. It is an ill wind that blows no one any good. Well, unless someone is able to break the jinx.
PoliticsRe: Ojukwu: Immortalize Him – Yerima by PointB: 9:24pm On Dec 02, 2011
@ Jason
your case is even more pathetic.
I have said earlier and perhaps you need a reminder. "As much as it yearns or tries a butterfly will forever remain a bird."When animals with horns are discussing, the presence of snail parading it's tentacles as horns is utterly ridiculous.

There are more Igbo natural inhabitants of SS than your tribe. So what exactly is your beef?
PoliticsRe: Ojukwu: Immortalize Him – Yerima by PointB: 9:14pm On Dec 02, 2011
Ocelot2006, as soon as the Igbo speaking part of SS are united with the kiths and kins in the hinterland, the issue of SE/SS will stop. But until then when the term is used pretend we are referring to Igbo is SS region of Rivers, Delta, etc.

As long as Igbo remains in any part of SS' We reserve the right to use that term. Bear in mind that Igbo in this region would also feel like minority should biafra be formed without including them. And there is no way we are going to leave them behind as minority in Nigeria as we share the same destiny.

So if you lots want us to stop referring to our kins in your region, then we need a surgical knife for an operations. There is no way, Igbo will lose sight of them just to make you happy. Igboland extends deep into SS. Take it or hug a transformer.

Should I also say GBAM?
actually, it is folly to deny the presence of Igbos in SS. That Igbos generally don't dwell so much on this is because, the bigger picture is not the backyard or immediate neighbours: across the Niger is where attention should be.

So my brothers in SS, has Igbo being belligerent towards you at any time in your history? Because I don't understand the paranoia of some of you guys. And it is an unnecessary dissipation of energy and searching for enemy where there is none.
PoliticsRe: As Acn Impose Cronies And Relatives, Can This Party Be Trusted Nationally? by PointB: 6:44pm On Dec 02, 2011
Without internal democracy, there is no chance in hell of ACN or indeed any party for that matter becoming a truly national party. Disgruntled members will always work against such party.
PoliticsRe: Bianca Ojukwu's Name Sent To Senate As Ambassador Nominee by PointB: 6:04pm On Dec 02, 2011
People here are just crying more than the berieved. Personally I don't see anything wrong with the move. Ha she resumed the new appointment?

Losing their husband should not stop anyone from living their lives. Ojukwu would not be happy to hear that his beloved Bianca stopped living the moment he died.

Sadly that is Nigeria for you. From North to South, East to West, political prostitut.ion is the order of the day. In the end all the parties are same of same and none has clear cut ideology. Nigeria we hail thee!
PoliticsRe: Can We Have Eze Ndi Igbo Nairaland? by PointB(op): 5:32pm On Dec 02, 2011
Ndu_Chucks go away you are not Igbo. Go and start a thread for Sultan or emirates. Lol.

Anyway I can't stop you from voting, can I? So that is your consolation.

Ndu_Chucks gburu gburu indeed. Lol

Noted. But then even in the council of elders there is always a senior or leader. The final election will make it clear.

Lol at the oJoro allegations, and I couldn't help but agree to your comment about Okija_juju. That guy has managed to piss of even very moderate Igbo posters.

PoliticsRe: Human Development Index: Who Is Marginalised? by PointB(op): 5:14pm On Dec 02, 2011
@Voodoodoll,
No one is asking for your opinion, you should usethe stats to base your judgement.

The SE zone came first in four of the indices, while the SW came tops in two of them.

On that basis alone the SE is actually the best zone while the SW came second.

But you are right when you said they can all do better.
PoliticsRe: Human Development Index: Who Is Marginalised? by PointB(op): 5:05pm On Dec 02, 2011
@Ekt Bear
Do you have any evidence to suggest that the SE has higher HIV prevalence rate? Do not lose the sight of the fact the late commencement of sexual activities and knowledge of contraceptives methods and availability which favour the SE makes them the least candid for HIV contraction.

So again do you have data of HIV prevalence in Nigeria by zones or you are just being disingenuous?

Is there also data on longevity by zones? Do you have any?
